Weihenstephaner 1516 Kellerbier

Weihenstephaner 1516 Kellerbier

The first sip of this amber-orange-coloured Kellerbier reveals a touch of caramel. Its fresh and fruity aroma is owed to the chosen hops and accompanied by a pleasant bitterness. In combination with a well-balanced malt body this wonderfully mild and smooth beer was created to please both, your tongue and mind. The hops chosen are the rare sort “Hallertauer Record” for bittering and "Hallertauer Perle" as well as “Hallertauer Mittelfrüh” for aroma.

2.8 Pale golden pour with a thin white head and no lacing …. Aroma of caramel malts, grains, and some grassy hops, little fruity …. Taste is of sweet caramel malts, grains, fruity with no carbonation and grassy hops …. Flat body … pretty boring beer
3.2 Bra såklart men inget wow
3.5 Bottle 500ml. Beautiful orange-coloured clear. White dense head. Pure grassy and bready aroma. Sweet honey in the taste along with a well-balanced medium but long-lasting bitterness.
3.4 Flaska.
3.6 Bottle. Moderate grain and hay for the malt, light herbs and grass for hops, light dough and damp basement for the yeast. Head is large, frothy, white, with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is slightly hazy light amber. Flavor starts slightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, with a lively carbonation and slightly dry finish. Perfect example of a Bavarian Kellerbier.
3.6 Poured a hazy deep amber with good sized dense white head that lasted well. Aroma is bready with yeast, slightly sour. Taste is juicy wheat notes moving to light caramel sweetness. Medium body, softly carbonated (on style), medium length to finish. Overall, a well crafted brew I could happily drink all afternoon, refreshing and not over heavy.
3.5 Excellent aromatic spicy beer. At the beginning of the sip malt and and a little brown sugar. Later, a lot of cereal and spices will have a sweet finish. Great beer for an afternoon break.
3.8 Nice bitterness. Little fruity too
3.4 Bottle 0.5l from dare To Drink Different shop, The Netherlands. 28.12.2021. Pour it hazyl light amber color with medium white head. Aroma cereal, straw and light grassy note. Taste smooth and thick, long after taste, grassy finish.
3.3 Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of grainy malt, herbal hops and lager yeast. Taste has grainy malt, lager yeast, grassy citrus, herbal bitters and a little caramel. Like most other kellers, but that's quite allright.
1.8 Almost okay, but it was sour.
3.0 Nalewa się złote, mętne, piana średniobofita, niezby stablina. W zapachu mocno estrowe, dojrzałe, jabłka, ciut kukurydza, lekko kwiatowe. W smaku dalej mocno estrowe, dochodzi lekka goryczka, dlaej ciut kukurydziane.
3.5 Pours with a large lasting white head over a hazy golden body. Aroma of bread crust with a herbal flowery taste, finishing with a lingering minerally aftertaste. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
3.6 Bottle at Hopa. Pours an orangeish golden with a thick, white head. Nose is yeasty and grainy with a sight herbal touch. Taste is moderately sweet grains and hay with some spice, grassy and herbal hops. Closes with a malty finish, it has a light yet rich body and soft to average carbonation.
4.4 Sweet dried orange peel smell, botanical gin like finish.
3.0 Nice Keller. Crisp hops and good barley. Golden pour with good head. Crisp finish. Bottle.
3.9 Cloudy amber with a large foamy head. Malty and grainy with sweet honey and a hint of fruit. Long finish. Medium body.
3.7 Hazy orange colour, white foam. Bready, a bit herbal and light sweet. Well balanced, easy drinkable. Nice kellerbier.
3.9 Bottle 0.50L. Hazy orange color with small, frothy white head. Aroma of caramel, wheat, sweet malts, herbs and fruity touch. Taste starts sweet and caramelly, similar to hefeweisen beer, while finish lean to the bitter, grassy and fruity side. Medium to full body, slick texture. Way better and something completly different than classic kellerbiers.
4.1 At Dacha Beer Garden in DC. A solid brew. Is it worth 9 USD, no. Absolutely not. But still drinkable.
3.6 0,5 l bottle. Pours hazy golden with small, quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is malty, grainy, wheat, yeast, mild sweet, caramel, fruity, grassy, slightly spicy hop notes. Taste is medium sweet and mild bitter. Carbonation is rather strong, slightly prickly on the tongue. Finish is medium long, mild sweet, grainy with spicy bitterness. Nice one.
3.7 11.2 oz bottle. Smells like a lager. Orange and hazy in color. Tastes of herbs and slightly sweet malts. Really smooth. Finish leaves a slight carbonated tingle on the tingle, light body. Well made, I can see how Weihenstephaner has been around for so long!
3.7 Eingetrübte orange gelbe Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Getreidiger, malziger, leicht hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich getreidig, malzig, leicht grasig hopfig, leicht fruchtig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.
3.5 Bottle. Murky golden, sizeable white head, creamy and lasting. Gentlebready nose, some grass and a bit of dust. Slight fruitiness to it as well. Medium bittery, slight sweetness and a bit of yeatiness. Lighter body. Somewhat spicy. Nice one.
3.9 Very murky. Darker golden. Fairly large head. Aroma is wheaty and grassy. Taste is malty with bread, orange, and a bit of vanilla.
