3.6 Appetizing aroma of yeast for this muddy orange beer with a nice and persistent head, leaving laces. Banana, bubble gum, lemon, bread and flowers are at the rendez-vous. Like the taste, smooth and fruity with more citrus due to hops, cereals and herbs. Also more pronounced bitterness which I'm not a fan for this type of beer. Here, only German work is remarkable.
3.5 Bottle. Hazy golden body, tall steady wheat beer head. Aroma has wheat bread and grassy hops. Sweet bready taste with plenty of wheat and bitter hops. Oily finish. The 6% ABV and thick mouthfeel put it somewhere between a Hefeweizen and a Weizenbock. Good.
3.8 I did expect a Weizen IPA but after pouring, I have a very nice Weizen. It is much more hoppy and Citrucy than a normal weizen but not as extreme as in an IPA. I guess IP lovers still like this beer but IPA haters olso like this beer.
4.0 Perhaps Sierra Nevada and Weihenstephan enjoyed collaborating on their killer 2018 Oktoberfest so much that they couldn't stop with a single partnership product--leading to Braupakt. This is far more the acquired taste, with a yeast and clove blast in the aroma and a flat-out dusty dry finish that has juiciness, too. Bonus appearance point for the double-barrel carrying California golden bear on the bottle label flashing you a "hang loose." That image is glorious.
4.0 Ámbar , turbia, espuma persistente. Aroma frutal a plátano y cítricos. Cuerpo medio, sabor a plátano y especias, algo dulce y final moderadamente amargo. Para repetir, sin duda
3.5 Bottle. Hazy dark golden colour with a medium white head, nose is yeasty, citric and fruity with notes of cloves, lychee and grapefruit, taste is sweet and citric with a tart and quite dry finish.
Gut.
3.4 500 ml bottle from the Brunswick Bierworks. Pours a lightly cloudy golden colour with dense white head with excellent retention. Aroma is big on clove and wheat with some fruit and caramel touches. Flavour has clove, apple/pear, wheat, light banana and caramel. Fine, lively carbonation. Nice.
3.5 Rated last year sometime - Pours hazy orange and has a yeasty aroma with clove and other spices. The flavor is similar along with wheat and mild to moderately bitter hops. It's good though I still like Weihenstephaner's regular hefeweizen more.
3.6 Bottled 0,33L. Hazy clear orange color, unclear aspect with light sediments, bubbly and lively impression with creamy head of long resistance. Sweet yeasty aroma, notes of pale caramel, grains, moisted wheat, banana. Medium crisp mouth, equilibrate sweet wheat and alcohol content impression. Medium fruity and weizen yeast final.
4.1 0,33l Flasche. Dunkelgelbes Bier mit einer sahnigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Hefe und Nelken. Schmeckt leicht fruchtig nach Banane und Nelke. Meisterhaft
Klassisk weissbier i næsen, banan, gær, hyldeblomst, citrus.
3.8 Color naranja, turbia, casi opaca. Espuma blanca, abundante y duradera. Aroma a cereal, plátano. Sabor a cereal, hierba, algo de plátano, final amargo, fácil de beber a tragos largos. Textura sedosa. Carbonatación media.
3.6 2019-01-11. Hazy dark orange body, nice beige head and lace. 3+ Aroma is lightly sweet, wheat and touches of caramel. Flavour is pleasant, lightly sweet malt base, touch of wheat. Mild fruit. Interesting grainy wheat bitterness in the finish. Smooth average plus bodied palate, good carbonation. Enjoyable. 7/4/7/3/15 Bottle at Earlscourt BBQ, Toronto.
3.9 0.5l bottle. Cloudy golden with a big dense white head, great retention. Aroma of intense banana, clove, wheat. Taste follows suit with intense fruity banana notes, citrus, wheat, clove, spices. Medium body, soft carbonation. Expected more from the new world hops, but it's a solid hefe.
3.8 Large offwhite frothy creamy head. Cloudy beige body. Excellent lacing. Mostly diminishing. Aroma: banana, clove, light yeasty, bubblegum. Initial flavor: moderate sweet light bitter (banana and clove). Final flavor: light sweet medium bitter and light acidic (plum); long duration. Palate: light medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation and metallic finish. Excellent attenuation. Very well inserted bitterness. Clearly above the style's average. 80s
4.0 Opaque golden/amber beer with a medium off-white/beige head. Medium aroma; taste starts medium sweet and ends slightly bitter and dry. Weizen yeast, banana, orange, hops and citrus. 7/5/8/4
3.4 This beer is perhaps lighter bodied than what one might have expected. The finish is, if not watery, a little thin. Plenty of clove and spices in the finish rescue it from its weak texture. Overall, decent.
3.5 0,5 l bottle. Pours hazy orange golden with big, lasting, frothy off white head. Aroma of banana, clove, some grainy wheat, a hint of caramel and plenty of fruit notes, orange and stone fruit. Body is medium, mouthfeel slick and carbonation lively. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a touch of sourness. Finish is quite long, somewhat unpleasant light bitterness hangs on the tongue for a while. A different take on hefe weissbier, not bad at all, just different.
3.4 33 cL bottle. Pours a hazy, orange color, with a small, fizzy, beige head. The aroma is banana, hay, cloves, grapefruit, and caramel. Sweet and estery, with a mild bitterness. Medium body, with a chewy, sharp, and lightly acidic mouthfeel. This is a fairly aggressive, and a bit hoppy hefeweizen.
4.6 Yellow to orange color, large white head. Aroma banana, clove, citrus, apricot, fruits, hops. Taste banana, clove, caramel. Robust body, moderate bitter finish.
3.6 On tap @ Hophaus, Southbank, Melbourne. Cloudy wheat beer appearance but I thought the head was disappointingly thin. Banana aromas dominate, with some stonefruit notes (peach, apricot) and citrus twang on top of a bready malt base. Nice chewy palate with pleasant integration of hefe and subtle New World hop flavours. Smooth texture, light spice.
4.2 A really nice weissbier. Deep yellowish gold, thick clove and banana aroma. Hints of pine. Quite nice. Tried with Emma and Jess at the Huber Haus during Reubenfest in 2018.
3.6 Bottle at Water & Brood. Unclear golden with white head. Sweet malts, fruity, citrus, cool banana milk with cloves, nice crispy yeast. Quite sweet and moderate bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Bit mixed Belgian/German vibes.
3.6 Bottle shared. Slight hazy light golden with fluffy almost white head. Banana, light spicy, flowery, dough, light creamy, cloves, soft straw, light spicy. Medium sweet and under medium bitter. Medium bodied with creamy feel. Nice but not as nice as the classic.
