Weihenstephaner Vitus
Our light-coloured, spicy single-bock, “Vitus” is saturated with fine yeast and a creamy foam. It is a specialty with a round character based on the extra long storage time. The fruity smell of dried apricots joins aromas of citrus, cloves and hints of banana. Full-bodied and sparkling with an effervescent mouthfeel. Thus, the Vitus does not taste like a typical Bock beer but more like a noble, fruity wheat beer. Perfect with red meat, strong cheese and also able to guide desserts. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Strong bockish weizen with banana flavours. It’s like weizenbocks seem to be: a bock with a weizen buried under. The bock dominates here although the fruits are very clear too.
Assez forte (7.7%), assez douce et goût légèrement caramélisé.
330 ml bottle. Pours hazy golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head, nice lacing and lively carbonation. Aroma is of yeast, wheat malt, spices and bananas. Body is full and slightly crisp. Wheat malt, yeast, bananas, peppery alcohol and spices fill the mouth. Finish is long and spicy. Very nice brew.
Pours light brown with little head that dissipates to lacing; spicy fruity bready aromas; chewy fizzy palate; finishes with a hint of banana.

500ml bottle at home. Pours a cloudy bright yellow orange with a medium to large white pillowy head. Grains, banana, clove, fruit on the nose. Flavour is banana, clove, black pepper, apricot, some slight tobacco in the finish.

Sight: yellowish color, small foam, not clear, hazy, cloudy 4.00 Smell: aroma of yeast
Taste: very good, low bitterness, some sweetness
Mouth feel: medium carbonation, slightly tart, good follow through, dry finish, slightly bitter aftertaste
Overall: very good beer, ok to repeat, not to look for BA RB
Hefig in der Nase, im Trunk cremig, süffig, Nuss, Schoko, Hefe, schöne Komposition, sehr lecker.
very bice lighter Bock, slight hop/citrus and coriander hints. on the dry side. Smooth and creamy feel.
Nalewa się złote, wpadające w pomarańcz, zmętnione ale nie jakoś mocno, ładna, gęsta obfita piana.
W zapachu bardzo mocno banan i guma balonowa, lekko goździki, słodko.
Półwytrawne, średnie do niskiego nasycenie.
W smaku jest wyczuwalna słodowość mniej gumy balonowej, więcej banana, są lekkie karmelowe nuty.

55 cl bottle bought from supermarket. Pours hazy golden color with medium white head. Aroma of wheat, banana, vanilla and some clove. Taste is similar: sweet, bananas, wheat, vanilla. Medium body & carbonation, wheaty aftertaste. Overall a very good weissbier.

Pours a nice off-yellow with a medium head, amazing yeasty, wheaty, sweet, slightly spicy and stone fruity smell; very rich, malty, wheaty sweetness with a nice warming alcohol, strange bitterness and yeasty taste. Isn't that sweet; slightly oily yet not very heavy mouthfeel. Delicious.
0,5l bottle that i found in a profi store in Romania, drinking it on 30/07/2021 BB 07.01.22 Pours a nice hazy yellow/gold, with large enough, long lasting creamy white foam on top and ok lacing. Aroma is yeasty, fruited, notes of banana and orange, some cloves, wheat, quite rich and less 'sweetish' possibly compared to a standard weiss, a bit more boozy. Taste is really full with a round, satisfying sweet taste, strong yeast and fruited notes, banana, cloves, caramel, dried apricots, some bubblegum, slight sour from wheat but not too much and the strong 7.7% abv despite how delicious and easy drinking this beer is. Medium to full body, slightly powdery texture and moderate carbonation, good sweet, with a low sour and almost no bitter finish, quite strong instead. Really enjoyed and found it holds to the high ratings and surprised me, maybe it's just a little too sweet at times but really great, strong weiss overall and lots of quality, boozy and accessible, very drinkable and easy to enjoy.

Botella 500ml de Cervezasdiferentes. Color dorada, opaca con espuma blanca, fina, resistente. Aroma especias, clavel, banana, frutal, levadura, trigo. Sabor muy suave amargor con algo de acidez, parece a aroma. Una muy buena Weizenbock.
Nice yeasty flavor. Add a twist of orange rind.
Bastante rica de sabor y color de IPA.

Bottle from Systembaolget online via Olof. Aroma is yeasty, light banana and x stems lager. Appearance is light see through yellow rising to golden yellow with attractive strong carbonation. Wheat is pronounced in the taste along with bananna. Mature full bodied taste. Nice job.
Fruity on the nose. Full bodied. Full flavoured with plenty of bitterness. To be expected from 7.7%. Big fan of Weihenstephaner, but this was not my favorite. Better enjoyed with a meal (red meat) as not too heavy on the stomach.
This is a backlog rating from 2008 from a bottle, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are wheat bread, banana, cloves, yeast, caramel, pretty good.
Odličan svijetli Bock i nije prejak.
Aroma frumento, gusto speziato citrico leggermente banana, retrogusto dolce poco secco ma speziato ottima carbonazione.

Heaven in a bottle! Vitus doesn't try to be pretentious. When poured right a pillowy foam sits on top of the beautiful golden liquid. Aromas of banana and a slight tinge of clove. The clove is more present in the flavour and there's a tinge of alcohol spice. Brings tears of joy to my eyes
If you like strong wheat beers, this is the best you can get.
