4.2 From tap at Bierfestival Groningen 2018. Aroma is shitloads of coffee, mocha, milk chocolate, creamy lactose, bitter dark chocolate. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and bitter. Body is medium to full. Wow, such a potent coffee dessert aroma, I love it!
3.5 15cl from tap at BFGM. Appearance: jetblack with medium, off-white head. Aroma: freshly cut madame jeannette pepper, roasted malts, spices. Taste: high sweetness and pretty high bitterness. Notes of fresh peppers, earthy, roasted malts and some spices. Palate: medium bodied, oily and slightly sticky texture and medium carbonation. A bit rough in my opinion.

Taste is sweet, lots of coffee, chocolate, milk, vanilla, malts, dried fruits, light bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth creamy mouthfeel, fine carbonation. An excellent coffee milk stout.
3.9 Lots of coffee and some chocolate. Lactose offsets some of the sweetness. Lighter in the body that I expected. Great brewer - never ordinary.
3.7 330ml bottle, batch 0312, bought at Hops and Craft in Exeter a few years ago. Shared with Finn and Richard. A two-finger thick, tan head slowly diminishing over a black body. Lacing rings down the glass. Coffee and chocolate nose, inviting. Mixed taste of cocoa, chocolate, and coffee. Prolonged ending. Fine depth. Rounded mouth feel. Well pleased with this one. (Tromsø 16.12.2017).

3.6 A 330ml bottle, batch no. 0360, bottled on September 2016, with a best before date of September 2020. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was black in colour with a one finger brown head that dissipated over the course of about a minute while leaving some nice curtain lacing. Aromas of coffee bean, coffee, light roast, chocolate, chocolate milk with hints of oak. Tastes of dark chocolate, cocoa and coffee. Light sweetness to begin, while there was a hint of booze and a lengthy but moderately bitter finish. Full to medium bodied with light carbonation. Overall, nice coffee and chocolate flavours and bittersweet finish. Would have preferred if the booze could have been hidden in a Milk Stout though, and this was only 8.6% ABV.

2.8 Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a creamy and lacing light brown head. Nose is extremely ashy - as if it was made from coffee grounds and not proper coffee. Rich, sweet body - very sweet - again rather unsophisticated coffee notes making the beer harsh and rough and not particularly easy to drink. 030517
