3.4 50cl bottle. A clear amber beer with a off-white head. Aroma of caraemlized malt, nuts, some red fruits. Taste of caramelish and red malt, nuts, some spruce, moderate bitterness.
3.1 Etwas dunkel, 2,9 / 3,2
3.2 0,5l bottle Nürnberg- brown clear with a head that lasts - cherry malt aromas - flavor is malty bitter as the finish
3.2 0,5 l bottle from our local Hol´Ab! market. Unclear pale amber in the glass with a two finger pale beige head. Low malty smell. Taste is malty with some dry bitterness, spicy. Grainy aftertaste with some long lasting bitterness. Strong for a Vienna Lager.
Dormez moinillons … (1/2/1/1/1)
3.4 500 ml bottle from Karstadt in Nurnburg. Malty, nutty nose, sunflower seeds, chocolate, light, earthy hops. Orange-amber, clear, with a low, thick head. Flavor is nicely toasty, nutty, malts, not very sweet, earthy hops, chocolate. Not really taking me anywhere new, but a decent Vienna. Dry, earthy finish.
3.4 Holzfass. Clear brown. Aroma is caramel hop some metallic stuff a bit mealy. Taste is a bit flat with metallic and sweetish caramel. Nice. A bit coppery.
3.0 Gravity cask at Deep Ellum, 1/5/18. Brassy-bronze with light amber/copper hues, good clarity and a small, white head that steadily recedes to ring. Nose shows light pale malt-like honey notes with soft mineral, a touch of grass, spice and yellow fruit and then a big ejaculation of diacetyl covering everything in a buttery blanket. That about does it for the nose, at that point, sadly. In the mouth it's soft, malty, well-attenuated with light herbal/grassy hops, showing low bitterness. Tons of rich butter mixes with the honey and it's almost passable, in an English bitter with moderate diacetyl sense, but not really. Really a shame, as it's got a great texture and is in fine condition carbonation and yeast-wise. So it's a bit surprising to see this heavy amount of diacetyl, but that's the nature of the beast.
3.1 500 ml bottle. Amber coloured, medium head. Malt, some caramel, some citrus, some metallic notes, some lard. Metallic bitterness, light malty sweetness. Oily to watery texture, medium bodied, soft to lively carbonated, dry metallic finish. Good overall.
3.0 resin, floral, grass, cereal, chocolate, amber, orange, red, golden, pale, clear, hazy, light sweetness, medium sweetness, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, medium bitterness, very bitter, lightly sour, medium sourness, heavily sour,
4.3 Spitzenbier. 1 der besten überhaupt. Konnte andere begeistern.
3.2 Flasche 0,5l: Kupfer, rotstichig, glasklar, kräftiger stabiler mittelporiger Schaum; frische + recht würzige Nase, kräftige würzige Süße, leichte Röstaromen, Malz, Malzzucker, kräftig Karamell, getrocknete/eingelegte Früchte, Honig; frischer + recht würziger Körper, eher trocken, leichte Röstaromen, Malz, Getreide, etwas Karamell, dezente Hopfennoten, cremig, kräftige Kohlensäure, leichte Fruchtigkeit, leichte Bitterkeit; angenehmer malzig-würziger Nachgang
3.8 Copper color Franconian beer with medium body average carbonisation and equilibrated flavor quite easy drinkable
2.7 Bottled on November 13, 2017. As a blind tasting. I think it was purchased at Landbierparadies, online shop. Amber color. Malty sweet, a bit cheese character, metallic scent. Light herbal hoppy, small malt character taste. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness. 4/4/6/3/10=2.7
3.8 Kupferfarben, klar mit feinem weißen Schaum. Geruch ist malzig, süß. Geschmack ist süßlich, malzig, leicht würzig und röstig. Angenehm süffig.
3.4 0,5l Bottle from wunderbeer. Leikeim ízű Köves padlós kellerről van szó jelen esetben.
3.1 0,5 l Flasche. Bernsteinfarbenes Bier, grobporiger, stabiler Schaum, schöne Gardine. Riecht nach Heu, Nuss. Schmeckt malzig süß, dezent bitter, zu wenig Kohlensäure.
3.1 Good quality Franconian beer. Not 100% sure about the classification. Description speaks about Helles, but indeed it is more than that. Light amber color and a more complex range of flavors including malt and a tender bitterness make this a decent brew worth trying.
2.8 Bottle. Pours clear amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of caramel and hints of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with dusty and estery notes and touches of malt. Hints of caramel, especially in the rather dusty afteraste. Drinkable but rather watery.
3.4 16.07.2017 -- 0.5l bottle in a bavarian beer set from marktkauf. pours a clear amber with a bit frothy head. aroma of apples, caramel, wood, leaves, quite interesting. flavour of apples, leaves, caramel malts. slightly bitter leafy finish. nice! 12.04.2018 -- a similar set, 6.49€/6pack, bb 23.10.2018. caramel, apples and wood are still there. sweetish.
3.2 Bottle from Biershop, Bayern. Dark amber colour, white creamy foam. Bready and toasty malty beer. Light sweet, light bitter. Easy drinkable. Good beer.
3.3 Flasche 50cl. Kupferfarben, glanzfein, stabile Schaumkrone. Vollmundig malzig, Hopfen kaum spürbar. Vom Typ her eher ein Landbier denn ein Märzen. Trotzdem insgesamt rund und ausgeglichen.
3.2 Big chunky bottle from Arden Wines, March 2016. Guy in there promised me obscurities and he’s delivered. Bright bronze with a fast shrinking off white foam. Nutty, sappy aroma with thistle and a slightly spoiling copper pipe note. Sesame and cherry blossom notes with shrub, rusk and honey. Bags of sesame on the nose as warms. Oily with nutty malt and hop. Pretty good.
3.4 #1212 Tap. Clear amber body, medium white head. Aroma of toasted malts, bread, bread crusts. Taste is sweet, the same as nose plus apples. Medium body, high carbonation. Very good.
3.4 Draught at Kulový blesk. Clear, light amber colored. AROMA- toasted malts. FLAVOR- neutral to slightly sweet, slightly bitter, toasted malts, bread crusts. Medium bodied. Very good.
4.5 A beer in perfection balanced, one of the best Lager I have ever had, Where you still have the desire to have another one, even when you had already 3 or 4. Great stuff. Just awesome. Take Care my Friends The beer lover
3.6 Draft at the source. Pours dark gold from the bottle. Leaves a thick, foamy head that soon fades to a creamy layer. Aroma is bready, grainy, freshly beaten cream, dusty air. Taste is bitter with caramel undertones. A dry, herbal note carries the finish. Good Bottle sampled in 2017 was a disappointment. Dusty, dry, stale grains. Finished the bottle easily enough but nowhere near the tasting from the Fass.
4.1 Bottle. Clear amber color with white head. Aroma is fresh tomato risp, breadcrust, nutty, a bit spicy-earthy. Taste is breadcrust, bready yeasts, nutty, hay, a touch oxidized, but in the rustic nice way. Natural carbonation. Very rustic, drinkable, Franconian. 7-4-7-4-15 Holzfass at Fränkisches Bierfest. A perfect rustic Franconian Rotbier. Perfectly balanced, while not losing flavour or complexity, with some cigar-like wood flavours. 7-5-8-5-16
3.8 Clear tan color, very little head. Aromas of tomatoes, bread crust, caramel. Just a generally pleasant smelling malty aroma. Taste is also very malty and rich. A bit nutty. Well balanced with caramel and dark baked bread notes, a touch of smoke.. Has an herbal hop finish. This is a fantastic lager beer.
