Clear amber with a decent off-white head. No aroma. This being said, taste is surprisongly intense. Malt, grain, some fruit, very well balanced. Good.
This malty drink is very malty. This bier is komisch. It's not like a native german bier. Is bavarian a german country or is it like a little village near germany.

Bottle. Clear red-amber color, fine white head. Light malty, floral aroma. Medium sweet, medium bitterness. Roast malty, light floral aftertaste. Medium carbonation, full body.

Rich amber with a fine thin head and a malty, corny and lightly toasty nose. Malty-sweet with a drying bitterness, hints of toasted malt and nuts.
Ambrée avec belle mousse beige. Nez malté pain avec note caramel acidulée. Gout malté doux, malt toasté, note acidulée et caramel, fin maltée paille et bon caramel. Ca passe!
Bottle. Clear amber color with beige head. Aroma is nutty, caramel, light fudge and earth. Taste is nutty, caramel, not too sweet, great chewiness. Soft oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Amazing stuff!
Bottle thanks to Stefan. Copper colored with a thin white head. Grass, honey, herbs. Mildly sweet with a hint of green apple. Medium body. Drinkable.

0,5 l bottle. Clear copper in the glass, huge three finger pale beige head. Smells malty with some sweetness. taste starts malty, some sweetness in the background. Increasing grain. Caramell. Spicy. Low bitterness. Nice.
Ausgezeichnet! Malzig, hopfig, wahnsinnig süffig und rund. Passt wegen seiner Süße gut zu Käse. Muss ich wiederhaben...
17/6/2018. Bottle from Evin, Helle. Pours clear amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, fruit, brown sugar and light peppery notes. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation.
I agree it's not a dunkel, probably an amber lager. Maybe we should send in feedback? Or not, doesn't matter. Clear deep golden color white head with solid lacing. Caramel aroma. Taste is lightly toasted caramel.

Dark amber-to-dark chestnut, good clarity and a beige head atop showing moderate retention given the gravity cask.
Deep red fruits mix with honey, light caramel and soft, biscuity malts in the nose as a slight hint of herbal-like hops can be discerned. Lots of mineral, bordering on even a hint of metallic character with a good deal of toasted malt character coming on the finish. Clean, though, and no sign of the heavy diacetyl seen in the Landbier on the other gravity cask.
In the mouth it's soft, malty, sweet, moderately acidic from the specialty and light dark malts. Caramel, brown bread and toast comprise most of the flavor with a bit of red berry, light honey and herbs rounding things out. Engaging, soft carbonation and modest attenuation make for a pretty good drinker, if somewhat mundane.

Clear amber, white but small head, little more than average carbonation. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, bread and caramel, something odd in the aroma. Medium to heavy body followed by roast and sweet malt taste.
0.5l bottle in a bavarian beer set from marktkauf. pours a clear amber with a frothy off-white head. aroma of toasted malts, caramel, nougat. flavour of leaves, nuts, caramel, black tea. rather bitter for a dunkel, the bitterness makes quite a difference.

Bevuta in bottiglia. Col ambrato molto limpida. Poco carbonata. Al nato nota marcata di Malto, leggero caramello e leggerissima nocciola è speziata. Molto rotonda e armoniosa. Finale secco a sfuggente.

Pours a brilliant dark amber to light brown color with a fluffy medium sized head.
Smells of dried orange peel, toffee, a light tartness and toasty nuts.
Has a light, soft mouthfeel, showcasing an intriguing balance with a nice effervescent peak.
Tastes of a soft aqueous note, joined by surprisingly toasty, rustic malts and a bakers chocolate hint. Develops a nice herbal dryness during mid palate, highlighting the toffee with a light caramel peak. Finishes light and soft, with rustic, bready malts, including only a well nuanced sweet note.
Brilliantly well made Dunkel, hitting all the right spots. Its rustic, earthy with a chocolate and toffee sweetness, balanced by a light hoppiness. Very versatile for its light mouthfeel, once started I just can’t stop drinking this.

Das Etikett ist sehr gelungen mit dem Kloster von 1700. Ein sehr malzbetontes Bier, gut würzig mit leichter Hopfennote. Echt tolle Mischung.
500ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark fruits with some caramel and grassy notes. Taste is a fruity and caramel malty sweetness with a grassy hop bitterness. Light bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a good representation of the style. Recommended.
