Wells Waggledance (Bottle)

Wells Waggledance (Bottle)

Unusual name, unusual beer! The “Waggle Dance” is the movement a bee performs to alert the hive to a source of nectar. The Waggle Dance beer is a beautifully balanced, sneakily seductive, golden coloured beer. it is popular both as a cask ale (Alc. 4.0% Vol.) and in 500ml bottle (Alc. 5.0% Vol.) across a wide range of beer lovers both male and female and of all (legal) drinking ages.

A striking pump clip and bottle label designs ensure high awareness to Waggle Dance amongst drinkers in both the On- and Off-Trade

“Amber beer with a touch of honey on the nose and palate. The sweetness is balanced by a healthy dose of hops to provide the bitterness that gives a wonderfully delicate flavour.”

Pale Ale and Crystal malts and British Fuggle and Golding hops, together with South American honey, combine perfectly to create this delicious golden ale with a superb honey aroma.

2.3 Slightly hazy orange color without head. Some sweet maltiness, but weak taste too watery.
3.2 Bottle from Spar store, just outside Lancaster. As Eagle Waggle Dance. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and honey. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 090220
3.7 Tasty beer. Nice hoppiness with light sweet notes. Low carbonation and small light head.
2.6 500 ML Razocaranje.. pise honey beer, a meda ima malo samo u aromi.. boja narancasta, pjena slaba.. okus je previse vodenkast, a meda nema..
3.3 Dhazy orange colour, medium sized off-white head; aroma and taste of floral honey, honeycomb toffee, biscuits and dried fuitiness; quite enjoyable
3.2 Aroma of fruits honey and hints of grass and citrus. Deep golden with a white head. Medium + sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with average carbonation. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Overall an OK Golden Ale.
3.2 Really nice golden honey ale
2.8 Golden color, foam disappears in a minute. Honey, fruity, citrus aroma. I don't want to say anything bad, but would be better without the strange honey-sweet and sour taste. I know.. that's the point. They wanted to make this beer exactly with honey. Would be better with just caramel malt.
3.0 A: Clear gold with a massive off-white head N: Bitterness, resin T: Bitter. Clean malt profile. Only the faintest hint of honey P: Medium O: I know that a flavoured beer can quickly turn gimmicky, but if you want to add a flavour element to a beer, at least make it pop a little.
4.5 Great beer, one of my all time favs. Quality beer. VERY REFRESHING ALE. Session beer I could drink it all night
3.1 Bottled 500ml (KSM Kampus) Clear copper colour, small off-white head. Nutty, toffeish, honeyish aroma. Light-bodied. Nutty English bitter flavour profile with honeyish sweetness. Some Earthy hops. Decent honey beer. No fuzz.
3.2 Bottle 500 ml ABV 5.0 % from some corner shop in Turnham Green. Aroma is honey, malts, caramel. Pours clear amber body with a big white head. Taste starts off with malts, caramel and subtle breadiness but ends with a smooth honey aftertaste.
1.0 Bad. Hint of honey and that's all.
2.1 Good appearance and not much aroma. Taste is meh. Maybe some honey? Maybe not. But what is in there does nothing for the flavour.
2.6 Bottle, January 2018. Unbelievably, unrated. Bronze-gold with steady lazing condition propping a white disc of collar. Matchbox aroma and taste at first, difficult to understand. Wakes with woodland, wax and pastry nose. Some honey, cereal and wafer flavour culminating weakly with cherry stone. And still the matchbox. Honey body. Mineral-dismal. Flabby. Clinical. Dead. A memory of something that might once have meant something
2.7 Clear and light brown. The rather nice aroma is one of pale honey on top of ESB-style maltiness. On the tongue, the honey's sweetness is relatively well balanced by some bitterness, though maybe not enough of it. Sadly, the finish is rather thin, even watery - marring an otherwise not so awful experience.
3.0 Disappointed with this beer as it wasn't what I had hoped for. Very light honey smell or taste and could be very easily passed off as just a bang average golden ale
2.7 Ładna etykieta, bursztynowy kolor, obfita piana i rozgrzewający efekt to z pewnością zalety tego piwa. Starsznie silny aromat alkoholu to zdecydowana wada. Goryczka znikoma, pijalność bardzo wysoka.
2.6 Bottle at home, thanks to my family. I’m expecting a Real Madrid wik over Getafe in the first match of the season. Even with CR leaving the team it’d be vital to kick off the season with a win.
2.9 Aug 2018. 500 ml dark bottle, filtered. Gift from Val. This is a more honey tasting Waggle than the Young's version. Stronger, Fuller bodied, tastier all round. Nice.
3.1 Bottle - clear light amber, decent white head which dissipates to small. Low carbonation. Sweet biscuit aroma.Slight ting on tongue and in mouth - quite smooth, nearly soft syrupy texture. Tasting not overally sweet. Easy drinking, pleasant tasting.
2.6 Bottle 50cl, a clear copper beer with medium head. Nose is on toasted caramel, caramel, light honey, sugar. Aroma on toasted caramel, kind of artificial honey, astringency, low body, light peppery hops, ok but boring.
3.4 Mm not as nice or smooth as Hinet Dew for me,. Slight acidic and not much honey in my palate. Get it a bit. Not unpleasant at all though. Father's Day 2018 from Nicola
3.0 500ml bottle. Sweet malt and honey aroma. Pours with a copper colour and medium sized off white head. Sweet malty flavour with notes of honey. Medium body. Sweet finish.
2.5 Bottle. Backlog rating from bottle collection and historic scoring. Source not recorded. No tasting notes kept, just rating.
1.9 Bottle, 500 ml from Pivoljub. Clear orange, small white head. Caramel malts, bit metallic, skunky. Watery. Low carbonation. Light sweetness. Not good.
