Die Optik zeigt märzentypisches klares bernsteinfarben. Die weiße, mittel- bis feinporige Schaumkrone ist flaumig-stabil und gut haltbar.
Der Duft überzeugt mit einer süßlichen, brotigen und keksigen, bis hin zu einer karamelligen Aromatik.
Der Antrunk wirkt sehr malzig bis leicht röstig und holzig. Am Gaumen zeigt sich eine sehr volle und kräftige Malzaromatik mit einer guten Süße, schönen Karamellnoten und einer leichten Röstung. Gemeinsam mit einer ebenso kräftigen Würze geht die Hopfenherbe beinahe unter. Vielleicht ist das aber auch gar nicht so verkehrt, denn dieser vollmundige und süßlich bis nur sehr leicht herbe Charakter verschafft diesem Märzen zu einer sehr guten Süffigkeit.
Im Abgang wirkt dieses Bier schon fast wärmend. Noten von Karamell, Holz und Kastanie klingen langsam aus und bieten danach ein wenig Platz für eine hintergründige Hopfenherbe.
Was Märzen betrifft, sicher eines der wirklich echten Märzen, bei denen Farbe und Aromatik voll passt. Eine absolut runde Sache, die man da vor sich hat - kurz gesagt: ein wirklich gutes Bier!
0,5l bottle from local store, drinking it on 6/08/2021 BB 14.06.2022 Pours a clear dark gold/almost amber like body with a nice creamy slightly off- white head and pretty good lacing. Aroma a bit mild of malt and grains, slightly grassy. Taste is pleasant with malts and bread notes, honey, sweet and clean with a bit of tartness and some nice floral grassy hops in the finish that I quite like. Light to medium body and very smooth, medium carbonation. Not really bitter and easily drinkable, gently crisp palate and gentle, maybe too laid down taste, but pretty fine and nothing to complain except for that, it's a very nice märzen.
Can. Deep amber gue with a thin white head. Light nose of caramel and some leaves. It also has some bread. Flavors of sweet bread are present along with hints of bubblegum. There is just a note of black tea. Decent classically mild version of a marzen.

Color dorado translúcido con espuma alta blanca de buena retención y residuo abundante. Aroma a minerales, metal y cereal poco tostado con notas a hierba seca. Sabor a cereal poco tostado, pan integral y minerales con notas a frutas blancas o de hueso, hierba seca y ligero almíbar. Dulzor medio, alcohol y amargor medio-ligeros con regusto corto. Textura semi-oleosa, cuerpo medio y carbonatación medio-ligera. Una Märzen suave, con defecto de olor metálico y un regusto algo afrutado. Degradada quizá.
"Weltenburger Kloster Anno 1050", Flasche von Getränke Hoffmann, Berlin. - Kupfergoldbraun, klar; üppiger fester Schaum. - In der Nase karamelliges, leicht dunkles Malz, etwas stumpf, und milde hopfenwürzige Herbe. - Antrunk rund und füllig karamelmalzig mit feiner Dunkelmalznote, Brotkruste und nicht sehr kräftiger aber solider krautig-hopfenwürziger Herbe mit ätherischen Kräutern. Schwere fruchtige Note wie von Trockenobst oder Konfitüre aber ohne deren Süße, dezente Malzsüße. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang milde Herbe. - Angenehmes Märzen, voluminös malzig und nicht zu knapp gehopft aber nicht ganz rund. (9.1.2021.)
0.5 bottle. Kitöltve szép testes má-már félbarna sör, elfogadható, fehér szép habbal. Illatra minőségi, kicsit cseh sörös, fele fele malátás, komlós, nagyon kerek illat. Finom, nagyon eltalált, édeskés, gyengén kesernyés, ízre nagyon minőségi alapanyagokból készült, nem spórolós, jó kis német ivósör. Remek, és nagyon jó ár érték arány!!!!

Filled with nice full-bodied now-brown beer with acceptable white nice foam. Aroma quality, a little Czech beer, half half malt, hops, very round aroma. Delicious, very hit, sweet, slightly bitter, made of very high quality ingredients, not frugal, good little German drinking beer. Great and very good value for money !!!!

Nose. Malty, floral-herbal and fruity notes.
Taste. Malty, light caramel, fruity, and hoppy aftertaste. Very good!
Bottle. Poured clear dark golden, foamy white head. Aroma of barley, toasted grain, grass. Taste was light bittersweet, malty, grassy, toasted, bready.
Optisch Kupfer, Schaum grad noch okay. In der Nase Karamell, im Trunk ebenso, malzig, sehr deutlich Karamell im Abgang, mehr als vorn. Süffig, passt.
Bière "classique" couleur or... filtrée. Gout d'herbe sucrée salée. Un peu lourde mais ça va.

Bottle from the Elsfleth Hol-Ab. Deep gold with a frothy, white head. Herbal and bready aroma with a touch of caramel. Taste is mildly bitter, full of grass and minerals and yeasty white bread, but there is also a touch of green apple tartness. Simple and yet holds my interest. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. Good.

Appearance: Pours a pale golden-amber body, some sustained haze to it. Medium-slim, off-white head.
Smell: Sugar-dusted bready barley with a rather distinct, strong apple note to it. Notes of Angel food cake, faint herb, honey-flavored alcohol.
Taste: Fairly sweet - confectioners sugar folded into raw amber honey. Bready barley, lightly musty, but feels a bit like low-grade cake when paired with the sweetness. Pinch of dried herb. Big ripe red apple flavor. Touch of alcohol. Remains sweetish through the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation.
Overall: Certainly on the sweet side and with its apple flavor, it's more Mott's than Märzen.
Bottle picked up from REWE, Zolling and consumed at home Attenkirchen Sunday 12th January 2020 cooking Mushroom and Chestnut Soup and also a large Picadillo (Mexican Chilli) , listening to three tracks off of the soon to be released Bambara new album. Pours dark gold, superb clarity with a nice white head, looks wonderful. A very solid beer, jolly decent, malty, some sweetness a little mineral edge. Very good.
