4.0Sample @ cbc 2016. Pours a dark colour beer with a small head. Roasted malts with a lot of chocolate, vanilla and some Bourbon character. Dry velvety finish
4.0Sample CBC-16, Copenhagen 14/5-16. Roasted malty with chocolate, vanilla, coconut, bourbon and some chili. The finish is roasted with coconut and bourbon.
4.1Tap@ CBC 2016. Pours near black with a thick brown head. Coconut, vanilla, chocolate mousse. Warmth from the barrel, dark creamy chocolate, mocha, sweetness. Alcohol warmth. Very good. Roasted coconut as well.
4.2Bottle thanks to Stuu666. Pours jet black with a thin tan head. Aromas of dry coconut. So but in a bounty bar or coconut milk kinda way. Straight forward coconut fun times. Bit meaty, some vanilla. Not, I repeat NOT a sweet nose. Not that it want a nice nose. I mean, look at your mother. Taste is maybe sweet, but balanced, nice roast, vanilla coconut. Roast and thick finish. Lovely.
4.2Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, coconut, almond, meaty, taste is similar, sweet, maybe a little thin for the abv.
4.4On tap at Cafe Sara, february 28th 2015. Black body with a taned head.Aroma of roasted nuts, marzipan, vanilla. Taste of quite strong coffee and vanilla, coconut, licorice. Sweet and chunky with a heavy roasted finish. Spectacular.
3.9Draught@CBC2015. Black coloru, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is fruity, some liquorice, mild roasted notes as well as quite big on vanilla and coconuts. Flavour is nutty, liquorice, mild roasted notes as well as vanilla and some alcohol.
3.6Poured from a 22 oz bottle.
Aroma is rich with lots of dark chocolate and some lighter roast notes. A medium light amount of almonds with a bit more toasted coconut. Hints of dark fruit and a touch of alcohol spice.
Pours black with a medium small, moderately thick, mocha head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where it lingers for quite some time. Light lacing and moderate legs.
Flavor is somewhat sweet with a lot of chocolate notes. More roast than in the aroma. Quite a bit of almond character but much lighter toasted coconut flavors. Some light dark fruit notes. Quite a bit of astringent bitterness. Some light alcohol spice.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium low carbonation. Medium astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a nice beer, but not a great beer. The flavor is too roast forward, astringent and bitter. Not enough coconut.
4.022oz bottle thanks to rich. pours out black topped with a tan head. nose is coconut vanilla cream roast malts some chocolate sweetness. taste is more of the coconut almond joy almost with a nice roast.
3.9Bottle from IP Chicago trade. Poured thick black with min tan head. After letting it warm a nice coconut sweet banana vanilla aroma. Light carb med bod. Tastes pretty bitter dark roast malt.
4.022 oz. bottle thanks Adam. Bottle 12/17/2014. Aroma is a large amount of coconut, roasted malts, and yes, a lightly nutty hint.
Wow, the Brewer nailed the flavor profile. The texture is oily from the coconut but kind of leaves a strange film over the palate. The body is medium plus with that odd film. But they did nail the flavor profile; coconut flakes, nuts, chocolate with a mild level of bitterness in the finish. Mild traces of vanilla. I enjoyed this a lot!
3.9Bomber, acquired in a trade. Split 3 ways at cellar temp. This is my 3,999th beer
A - This is pitch black, oily but not insanely thick.
S - The aroma is great. 10/10. God bless the adjunct gods. Almond, Cocoa, coconut...it’s all there. WOOHOOO
T - undeniably coconut flavor. Intense bitterness, maybe the almond landed this vegetable taste...the chalky bitterness from middle to a long finish like a chalky vegetable bomb.
M - Thin after a good oily mouthfeel that leads to the chalky teeth-film mouthfeel
O - Man, I wanted to love this beer. just has enough intensity that I can’t really love it.
4.1On tap at CBC15. Black with brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark chocolate, lots of vanilla, nutty notes, coconuts, toffee and licorice. Taste is sweet, nutty, roasted malt, vanilla, wood, alcohol, toffee and chocolate.
3.8Bomber bought @ Kihoskh. Pours slightly viscous black with a frothy and creamy dark mocha head that leaves some sparse spotty trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell i malty and tiny fruity estery with roasted malts, burnt caramel, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, grilled banana, baked pears, blackberries, caramelized almonds, alcohol and hints of glue. Taste is sweet, heavy bitter, malty, tiny fruity and nutty. Mouthfeel is soft, round, roasted astringent, tiny boozy and near full bodied. Finish is sweet and heavy bitter with roasted malts, burnt caramel, toffee, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, caramelized almonds and pecans, moist soil and hints of alcohol. Smell is a bit volatile and estery but the taste offers a great roast and a heavy tasty imperial stout.
3.8Bottle. Sensoric. Pitch black with medium, light brown head. Poor head retention and lacing. Medium roasted malts aroma - milk chocolate, dark fruits, toffee and also vanilla, ligltly almond and licorice hints light boozy aroma. Taste is semi-sweet, lighlty bitter in the end. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation finish is semi-bitter with little alcohol warming. In overall pretty good and drinkable RIS, but nothing special or stgh that knocks me down.
4.3May 1, 2015. On tap at CBC2015, blue session.
Black with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark chocolate, hints of vanilla, almonds, coconuts, toffee notes and licorice. Taste is sweet, nutty and roasted bitterness. Finish is vanilla, almonds, warming alcohol, bitter dark chocolate, sweet toffee and raisin notes. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Langer, extrem weicher Nachhall. Super! 8/13/12/14/13/14
3.8Bottle. Dark brown/black pour with a mocha head. Dark roasted malt aromas. Chocolates, dark roasted malts, with some bitterness to it. Interesting. Good body and mouthfeel.
4.2Backlog rating. 22oz bottle from The Bottle Shop, London. It pours a dark brown color with medium brown head. Aroma is sweet and rich with notes of chocolate, espresso, almond milk, some light roasted coconut and molasses. Taste is sweet upfront, lightly boozy and medium dry in the finish with more chocolate, vanilla, almond milk, amaretto, light booze and caramel. Full bodied with soft to good carbonation. Overall, nice one.
3.8Bottle at Lan Xin and Sandra’s. Pours an opaque black with a tiny light beige head. Quite sweet with aromas of coco nut and milk chocolate. Also sweet nutty aromas. Full bodied. Soft carbonation. Long light dry and sweet finish with more coco nut.

4.0Draught @ CBC 2015 [ Blue Session ]. - Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015, Sparta Hallen, Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads 11, 2100 Copenhagen, Denmark
[ As Westbrook 4th Anniversary Chocolate Coconut Almond Imperial Stout ].
Clear dark brown color with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, wood, coconuts, choclate - vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, coconut, wood, chocolalte, roasted, chocolate - vanilla, light almond finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Very tasty and balanced. [20150501]
2.9Talk about overrated. Maybe fresher would have been better. Vanilla, coconut and almond flavors are all but gone (assuming they were there to begin with). Beer is dominating by a huge amount of roast on both the nose and taste. Thick oily mouth feel helps a bit. I was hoping for Almond Joy but didn’t come close.
3.9Bottle at home - thanks to SlackerMads. Pitch black - no head. Chocolate. Burned malts. Light toasted coconut. High malty. Bitterness. Nutty. almonds. Vanilla. Toffee. Thick body. Light alcoholic.
4.1Dark black in color, thin beige head... Aroma is similar to hair of the dog adam... Notes of coconut, almond, roasted malts... Flavor is sweet chocolate notes, coconut, almond... Dark chocolate bitterness on palate... Really nice
4.3From notes. 08/01. 22 oz bottle shared with ebone1988. The pour is a medium black, with a thinner light khaki head and no lace. It's not as dark and viscous as I was hoping it to be, but it isn't bad. The aroma is good. There is a little more of a booze to it than I would like, but the chocolate, vanilla, nuttiness, and a hint of coconut. The chocolate and roasted malts kind of dominate, but all are detectable. The flavor is amazing. The chocolate dominates the first half. Vanilla and coconut really comes through after that and it carries extremely well. The roasted malt comes in about half way through and finishes well. The vanilla and coconut really mesh well here. The mouth feel is light, with a decent carbonation and a great aftertaste. It's like vanilla and roasted malts. I love it. This is a solid brew
4.1CBC 2015. Pours black with a low tan head. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, roasted almonds and molasses. Taste is chocolate, vanilla, roasted almonds and molasses. Mouthfeel is smooth and velvety with no carbonation.
4.3CBC. Black with a small light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa and coconut. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish. Oily and smooth. 010515
4.1Bottle shared at the chriso Easter 2015 tasting - London. Many thanks to Paul for one of the beers of the day. Pours oily black with a creamy tan head. Nice aroma, lots of chocolate, coconut, vanilla, toffee. Medium to hearty sweet flavor, with great oily chocolate character, some relaxed earthy bitterness, more coconut. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with average carbonation. Warming finish, rich, with lots more cocoa, some raisins. Very solid.
