3.8Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - fuzzy golden pour with white head. Aroma and taste is medium sour fruity, berry fruits, berryskin, blueberry, tart on the palate, tart berry fruity finish. Very nice.
3.3From tap at Taphouse. Hazy dark golden colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of blueberries, malt, hops and fruit.
3.6Draft at Brouwer’s. Red-tinged juicy orange, opaque. Creamy head. Waxy fruit, intense up front and mellows fast. Wheat body. Mild sweet, mellow but definitely blueberry. A bit mellow and anonymous overall. Pretty good.
4.0On draught. Pours a hazy amber with a moderate white head. Nose is citrus and blueberry. Taste follows. Not as tart as a typical Berliner. Well made, and the blueberry comes through on the finish. Nice change of pace.
3.7Pours a golden amber color with minimal fizzy head. Aromas of berry, yeast, some sour. Nice sour tart berry flavor with some spicy yeast.
3.2Bottle, shared with Jordan. Light purple-pink (much like the label colour), with a rapidly receiving head. Briny aroma, vague tart fruit. Unripened berry tartness (not detectably blueberry TBH) with a salty finish. More like a fruited gose than a berlinner IMO (lacking butyric character).
3.4650ml bottle pours a pinkish color with a finger of white head that leaves only a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is blueberries with some yeasty notes. Taste is a blueberry and lemon tartness with a light blueberry and malty sweetness and citrus hop bitterness finishing with a dry yeast. Light bodied with generous carbonation that tickles the tongue. One of the better brews that I have tried in this style. Quite flavorful.
3.4650ml brown bottle. Pours out with a pinkish hue, thin layer of whitish foam above. Aroma of mild blueberry/fruit and yeast. Taste has sour blueberries, lemons, sweaty, salty. Tart aftertaste.
3.1Red orange with minimal head. Nose is sour blueberry. Taste matches, very tart sour blueberry. Just basically really tart and not much else.
3.6Draft at Lupolo, 1/7/16. Pours clear orange without much head. Bit of fruit comes through on the aroma with wheat, yeast, and some funk. Clean and tart flavor, lighter fruitiness. Drinks solidly. Solid beer overall.
3.5Tap. Rosy peachy orange hue with minimal white head. Fruity and not overly sour in the aroma, with some slight berry seed. Flavor has a bit more sour to it, but the blueberry doesn’t come through very clearly. Thinner body.
2.9750 ml bottle shared with czar and company. Pours a slightly veiled peach-milky with a short lived white head. Aroma is blueberry, cheese and lactose. Flavor is blueberry, cheese and lactose, with a very sour, tart finish. Light body, watery mouthfeel, average carbonation.
3.7I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste citrus, tart, light. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.
3.6Pours a cloudy golden orange color with purplish/pink hues and a one finger off-white head that quickly settles into a thin, lasting ring. Minimal spotty lacing left behind.
Interesting aroma with a nice blend of lactic funk, oak barrel and dark berries. There’s a ton of blueberry/dark fruit character but it still smells true to style. Not overly sweet smelling but vinous with blueberry, currant and other berries. This is countered by lactic funk, cheese, sourdough bread and even some subtle citrus. The fruit is nicely integrated without turning it into a gimmicky dessert beer.
The mouthfeel is a little thinner than I expected/prefer for the style. Slightly tart and funky with a subtle blueberry/vinous dark fruit character lingering into a slightly acetic, dry finish. Blueberries are there but not as prominent as in the nose. Tastes more organic than cloyingly sweet or artificial. A nice touch of fresh berry along with lactic funk, bready yeast, citrus zest and acidity. A light and refreshing fruited Berliner that stays true to style without becoming overly sweet.
3.2Some citrus and some raspberry. Light tangy finish. Not super interesting. Pours pink with ok head. Tap at Churchkey.
1.5Draught at Publick House, 10/23/15.
Bright copper-golden with a small whtie head that steadily fades to nothing. High clarity.
Blueberry skins in the nose but otherwise not too fruity. Not too much of anything, to be honest. Some light lactic acid, heavy paper and very light dirtiness.
Nose dosent prepare you, but the flavor is pure chemical character mixed with dry, heavily astringent blueberry skin with an afterthought of lactic acid. No malt/wheat softness, no body and just heavily, heavily filled with chemical flavor that is absolutely revolting. What in the hell happened here?? Wow, that was disgusting.
3.1Poured from a tap. Clear light copper color, small white head. Very light sour aroma. Light body with a slight tart fruit flavor with a light finish.
3.422 oz. bottle pours a light gold color with a very faint hue of blueberry and a thin white collar. Smells of tart faint blueberries strawberry and sweet tarts. Taste is funky blueberry tart acidic light horsehair and bandaid. Palate is thin fizzy dry little mouth watering. I dig it.
3.1Sour borsh (go figure what that means. See: Randy Mosher - "kislischi"), with mild lactic acidity and notes of pear puree. Drinkable.
3.6Keg at the siren sours and sessions fest. Pinky peach coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is tart raspberry. Blueberry, tart, crisp, acid.. Flavour is composed of crisp tart wheaty. Raspberry. Super dry in the finish, mineral. Super dry.
3.4yeah...not impressed for about a buck an ounce. hints at good things, but never quite delivers. finishes weak and watery though it opens up a little as it warms. light blueberry and funk. an ok beer, but not a great sour, especially at this price.
3.8Sharp cheddar, persimmon, lemon nose. Cloudy amber, thick head. Very tart, lemon and yogurt, mild oak notes. Light body, soft carbonation. Pretty solid, but like the wine barrel version, no blueberries are detected.
3.1Bomber. Pinkish with minimal head. Sour cherry, blueberry, lemon juice and yeast. Taste is fruity sour through and through. Body is medium with an acidic clingy feel.
3.4Aroma is blueberries and ketchup/vinegar. The flavor is blueberries, spices, wheat, salt/minerals and sourish/slight vinegar in the finish.
3.5Bottle..Pour is a light orange with a fizzy head..Nose is musty, light blueberries, spice, funk..Taste is some sweetness from the blueberries, spice, berries, floral and light with some good carb..
3.2Hazy orange with a
Thin whiteish rose head. Sweet fruity aroma. Crisp tart with a subtle blueberry flavor
3.5Bottle, thanks Eric, nose is cherry, taste is tart, pruiny, okay beer overall Westbrook
3.8Tnx Fonefan. Bottle. Pours hazy orange with small white head. Aroma is sour, wheaty, blueberry-raspberry, vinegar, some yeastyness, fruity. Taste is sourish with some sweet notes, berries, smoothness, yeastyness. Medium body. At first its almost heavy sour and then coming the smoothness.
3.4Bottle 0,5l. Pours hazy orange color with medium white head. Aroma blueberrie, rasberrie, vinegar, fruity. taste heavily sour, rasberrie. Medium body.
