3.8At American tasting in Bruges, shared by Bart. Thick, creamy, pale yellowish beige, lacing head over a blackish beer with translucent burgundy edges. Aroma of cappuccino, cold black coffee, dried mushroom, stewed beef, mouldy wood, vanilla, haemoglobin iron, mocha ice cream. Sweetish onset, raisin and fig drenched in quite strong, meaty umami, dried porcini-like, bit metallic middle with soft carbo and smooth, rounded, caramelly and toasted malt bittersweetness but less sweet and creamy than expected based on style designation; roasted coffee bitterness in the end as well as spicy hops further diverging it from an actual milk stout. Regardless of that, a very pleasant, well-made stout for sure.
3.9Bottle; pours dark brown with a tan head; aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, lactose, and hints of oats; taste is sweet with roasted malt, chocolate, and hints of lactose; finish has some chocolate bitterness; solid stout

3.3draught@Erzbierschof Bern - hazy black beer under a solid creamy dark beige foam; quite roasted with strong lactic chocolaty notes; hints of nuts and licorice; quite thick and sticky palate; fairly sweet and with a moderate carbonation; gently bitter, quite lactic and chocolaty finish with light apparent notes of alcohol; some harshness

Sweet roasty milky with great body from the flaked oats. Not my favorite style but it might be if it always tasted like this.
4.5Butelka 0,65l W szkle głęboka czerń. Piana beżowa, drobna, trwała. W aromacie ciemne owoce, zwłaszcza śliwka, mleczko do kawy - przyjemny, ale płaski. w smaku słód palony, zboże, przyjemna czekolada, silna świeża śliwka, delikatne rodzynki, nuta laktozy, wanilii. 3.8Tap at C4. Black body with a small offwhite head. Oatmeal, roasted malt, light chocolate. Decent.
3.1From tap. Pours black. Aroma is light chocolaty. Taste is funny. It’s a bit sour. Chocolate and coffee.
3.3Bottle 65 cl. Pours an opaque black with a dense but dissipating light brown head. Chocolatey aroma. Medium body, some roast but dominated by the sweetness from the lactose. However, this seems to find a neat balance between roast and milk sugars so avoids ever getting cloying. Hops very downplayed. 040216

3.4Campground Brewdown 2015. Pours a hazed brown with a big tan head. Roast, plum, prune, chocolate, on the nose. Roast, infected and papery. Sweet chocolate, long roast into the finish.
3.5Bottle thanks to Theis! Pours dark brown with a foamy head. Aroma is slight tart in the beginning. Like a dark saison or something - infection? As it warms it gets better and the milk chocolate comes forward along with some sweet malts and oatmeal. The taste has some cocoa, bitter roasted malts, some hazelnuts and chocolate. Would probably be infected over time? Maybe not. In isolated terms this was alright.
3.7Bottle. Brown pour with tan head. Roasted, chocolate, sweet lactose and malt aromas. Sweet malty Flavors, chocolate, lactose Flavors.
2.8Cap pops off with much more vigor than it should. Fizzy tan head. Nose seems off and shows signs of an infection. Burnt toast and popcorn with bitter molasses, burnt sugar, and fruit skins. Tart upfront in the flavor with bitter and sour burnt bread. Bleh. Light bodied and spritzy.
3.7Draught at Tasty. Slightly tart and chocolate stout without any real lactose flavors, or any that stand out. Still, creamy and nice.
3.6Bottleclear deep maroon brown color, brown head. Aroma of milk chocolate. Taste has sweet cocoa, chocolate. Nice.
4.1Bottle from a Trade. Thanks Moe. Dark almost black pour with an extremely bubbly head. Very fluffy. I am drinking it with just over a year from its bottling date. Big oat in the nose. Smells stronger than just 5.5. Very easy drinking and creamy. Nice oaty chocolate syrup flavor. Great stuff.
3.5Pint at Highcraft Beer Market. Cary NC. Good aroma, sweet, oat, chocolate. Dark orangey brown color, good head and lace, sweet flavor. Medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, sweet finish. It’s good, very drinkable sweet stout, like the flavor best, but only by a little.
