Westbrook White Thai

Westbrook White Thai

This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

3.5 12oz Dose. Trüb gelbes Bier, heller Schaum. Es duftet frisch nach Citrus und Ingwer. Würziger Kräutergeschmack. Wenig Kohlensäure. Viel Ingwer. Nettes Sommer Wit.
3.3 W zapachu trochę szalotkowo, jabłkowo. Jest lekki imbir, W smaku taka półwytrawna szarlotka, trochę skórki pomarańczy. Nie jest źle, ale super fajnie to też nie jest.
3.4 Can. Appears to be canned at 09/07/16. Damn, that's not fresh anymore. Clear golden body, medium tall head. Wheaty aroma with some light lemongrass. Sweet malty taste with spicy citric notes. Sweet lemongrassy finish. Not getting much ginger at all but it must have been fading with the age. Doesn't feel like a classic Witbier, more like an APA.
3.2 Trübes Goldgelb mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Malzig, leicht fruchtig, Zitrusaromen, Kräuter, Koriander, etwas Ingwer, spritzig.

3.4 Aroma: fairly traditional Belgian spice with a little more lemon; Appearance: hazy yellow-orange pour with thin white head; Taste: follows nose; refreshing but a bit bland; Palate: light bodied with short finish; Overall: pleasantly drinkable; would get again.
3.4 12 ounce can The opportunity to grab a new Westbrook release resulted in the can jumping into the shopping cart. I wasn't disappointed although it could have been slightly better. It may have been the experimental aspect but if this is the worse Westbrook can do I'm still happy to grab new ones as they come out. Aroma / Appearance - The transparent golden base shimmers and glows under a dense white head. Lemon, wheat, and moderate spices tickle the nose. I was anticipating more bite - this felt more like an American version of Thai spicy. Flavor / Palate - Mild spices mix with lemons then melt away like dew. The full body opens up over the course of time until it caps off with a pleasant depth. I was not blown away but the ginger did set this apart from your average witbier.
3.3 Barwa żółta, klarowna, piana na 1 cm. Aromat weizena, trawy cytrynowej, imbir. W smaku słodowe, przyprawowe, goździkowe. Takie połączenie weizena z witbirem. Spoko pifko.
3.2 A pleasant-enough potpourri aroma with nice lemon scents and flavors throughout along with ginger in the nose, too. Wouldn't mind a second one if offered. Poured from a can.
3.3 Plenty good wit. Finish just falls off a little for me and lacks that white pepper snap finish. Retried with tasting notes lemon grass and subtle gineger. Creative still has belgian gestalt
3.6 On tap at Cole's in Buffalo. Pours hazy golden not a huge aroma. Flavor is interesting combination of almost winter spices into a wit. A Little hose water, a hint of cinnamon, a spattering of heat perhaps? This is nice.
3.1 Can. Hazy golden medium off white head. Mild aroma of clove and spice and citrus. Medium sweetness. Medium-light body, tingly carbonation feel, lingering spice and fruit. Pretty good overall.
4.0 355ml can. Cloudy golden colour with a small white head, thin lacing. Spicy aroma - coriander, ginger, lemongrass, peppery, citrus. Taste has a light spiciness, coriander, ginger and particularly lemongrass complement the citrus peel and wheat malt well. Medium body, smooth, average carbonation. Really nice, quite underrated I feel.
3.8 Can, pours pale gold with a light haze. Aroma is light honey and caramel malts, coriander, lemon, a touch herbal. Body is light, carbonation is soft. Finish is dry, and a little spice.
3.7 12oz can. Pours hazy yellow with a full frothy white head. Citrus and yeast nose followed by flavors of lemongrass, ginger, bright hops, light funk. Medium fizzy carbonation. Fresh finish with some lingering hops. Not that the name is any clue, but this is an excellent pairing with Thai food.
4.3 Poured from a 12 OZ can into a tulip glass at the World of Beer in Columbia, SC. The appearance is a mildly murky gold color with a small white head. The aroma is lemongrass, citrus and some ginger. The taste is ginger, wheat and some citra hops.
3.1 Zapach mało intensywny, zioła, trawa cytrynowa, imbir. Kolor słomkowy, opalizujące. Piana średnio obfita, drobna, szybko znika. W smaku lekka słodycz, niska pełnia, słód, zioła, pieprz, imbir, trawa, kwiaty, cytrusy. Goryczka niska, wysycenie średnie.
3.8 5% 16 ibu ale brewed with spices. Instead of orange peel taste has s definite lemon twist. Not bad.
3.4 Can @OlutSBD club de cata. Pours hazy yellow. Aroma of banana, and grass. Sweet and dry.
3.0 Aus der Dose 2015-09 getrunken. Ein belgisches Witbier mal anders mit Lemongras und Ingwer. Kein schlechter Durstlöscher mit leichter Zitrusnote.
3.7 On tap at Bacchus. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Soft musk on the nose, a bit of lemongrass. Medium bodied, wheat, soft lemon. Fruity, light yeast. Crisp, soft yeast, light musk.
3.8 One of the better American examples of the style, bright and crisp with lovely banana-clove notes and a ginger-and-basil accented finish. Grass and yeast on the front, then wheaty and semidry in the middle, with a bread-and-basil fade. Smooth, well-carbonated feel, and a nose bursting with floral witbier goodness.
3.3 Can 355ml (Beergium) Hazy orange color, good white head, some lace. Wheaty banana, coriander nose. Light to medium-bodied. Flavour has banana, coriander and notes of lemongrass. Suprisingly I can’t trace Sorachi Ace. Robust witbier.
3.5 Bright orange draft pour at Blind Tiger in Charleston. Lemon and spicy flavors. Pretty tasty. Thick and juicy
2.6 Aroma: ginger, lemongrass, grass, citrus Taste: medium bitter, ginger, citrus, grass, cereal
