5.0 Absolutely fantastic drink, very strong, but also very easy drinking. Plenty of oak aftertaste & tannins.
3.7 Tap at Stone in Helsinki. Tanni, dry apple nose. Some fruit sweetness, and a bit of acid, more tannic though and dry. Like it.
3.4 Bottle thanks to Max at Herne Hill Station from local offie (29062019) - clear golden pour with tiny head. Balance of dry and sweet cider with some light wooden accents, medium body, lingering fruity apple finish.
3.3 Jasnozłote, prawie klarowne, prawie bez piany. Trochę jabłek i drewna w zapachu. W smaku półsłodki, jabłkowy, winogronowy, taki cydr w typie kompotu jabłkowego z nutką starego drewna, tanin. Trochę za wodnisty.
4.6 Bottles at Waitrose Basingstoke, has a body that is rarely seen with supermarket ciders. Very strong flavours and no artificial tastes. I’m a farmer boy and this does it for us all like a proper scrumpy would. Strong at 8.2% one bottle does me well in the evening to settle me right down, very drinkable but the more you drink the more you drink the less enjoyable it becomes. Yet to find a better supermarket cider.
4.3 Une bonne boisson pour les amateurs de cidre. J’ai préféré la version à la pomme que celle à la poire. Je vous recommande vivement de goûter !
3.1 Sample from bottle 500ml at Silja Symphony Old Port Pub 2018-08-03. BBE 02 2020. Pours clear yellow no head. Sweet apple, wood, sweet juicyness. Medium body and average carbonation.
3.3 500ml bottle. Light gold colour with tiny white head. Sweet green apple, tannins, wood barrel, light apple peel, light sour, light dry finish. Abv well hidden.
3.1 Clear yellow, minor carbonation. Drink very easy, in taste feels some spicy notes.
3.3 semi sweet, low tannic. Full body not the best depth not bad, but feels a bit unbalanced.
3.3 19/2/2019. Bottle from my local one-stop. 2015 Vintage. Pours very pale gold with a short lasting bubbly white head. Aroma of medium sweet apples, oak and light sulphur. Medium sweetness, light to moderate sourness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. The level of alcohol comes through on this and sweetness picks up. Overall its pretty good.
3.1 50cl bottle from Company Shop. Thin white head. Clear golden pour. A decent cider
2.9 [Found as Henry Westons (Oak Aged) Vintage Cider] Bottle at home. Crystal clear golden to yellow, vibrant colour. Aromas of sweet apple, honey, very estery and sweetish. In mouth not as sweet as I was dreading, and in fact not that bad at all. Still somewhat on the sweet side but very balanced with noticeable tannins, slight tartness, green apple and green grapes. No off flavours and perhaps more surprisingly, and only really realised after reading the ratebeer description, I could not even notice this was 8.2%, so extremely well hidden alcohol that is balanced into the flavour. So why a 6/10? Well, it is otherwise rather one-dimensional and not really offering much more beyond that tart green apple juice that I mentioned. Still, medium body and pleasant finish, no off flavours. OK cider to be fair, as long as you don't expect that much from it.
3.1 Bottle form tesco. Nose is wood, apple, some pear. Palate is dry apple, wood, pips. Decent
5.0 Dank
5.0 bare strong gets me in the mood. nice n refreshing, good for the train journey on the way out.
3.1 Rami Rami is drinking a Henry Westons Vintage 2015 by Westons Cider at Pod Mosteczkiem Skorkowy, jablkowy, z beczki to moze ciut tanicznosci, ale generalnie to on slodki a nie wytrawny co nieco psuje
3.2 Bottle at home shared with Sarah, picked up from Sainsbury's. A clear pale petrol coloured pour with no head. Aroma is semi sweet, woody, oak and rounded apple juice. Flavour is composed of semi sweet woody apple, oak, tangy,. Strong alcohol presence,. Harsh solvent finish.. High boost cider. Palate is semi sweet moderate carbonation.
3.5 Light gold colour with small white foam. Aromas of dry fermented apples, slight soft wood as well as light cream and vanilla notes. Palate, light body, thin texture leaving slight booze dry finish. Taste of slightly boozy fermented apples with a resemblance to champagne. Overall not bad strong tasting and definitely dry but nice!
3.4 Clear golden color with no head. Lots of green apples in both flavor and aroma. Also some faint oak. Solid stuff. Average carbonation level and a pleasant acidity. Tasty cider. [Bottle from a gas station deep into Norfolk, England]
2.5 Bottle from tesco, edimburgh. Ligth color, sweet, watery, definitly not my stuff
3.6 Thnx to Thomas. Pours clear, very light blonde. Smell is weak, Taste is sharp, tad dry, mild sugary, yet not very sweet . Mild woody notes ( some very hidden vanilla ) Alright. perhaps I had too high expectations ?
2.6 Nice drop. Nothing that amazing for me though. Refreshing to drink and doesn't taste like 8.2%
2.9 Dry taste of apples. Has a chalky floury aftertaste similar to biting into a cooking apple as well as what I think is vanilla. Fairly mediocre, I only tried a sampler so may need to give a whole bottle a go, needless to say first impressions weren’t impressive.
3.0 I really enjoyed this cider, nice taste and not too gassy. Unfortunately, it is way too strong (8.2%) and it quickly results in a bad head. Shame it isn’t a standard 5% like the nicer Angry Orchard.
3.0 500ml bottle into glass. Pale green/yellow cider with no head and medium carbonation. Nose is nice, tart apples and caramel. Oily texture, full bodied. Viscous and tart in the mouth, finish is dry with some woodiness. Late taste of apple cores and alcohol. Adult cider, nice enough but a little unbalanced.
3.6 Bottle after RB sumer gathering, tallinn. Served with ice. Don’t care about Aroma. Goes down well. I am alive.
2.4 500ml bottle @home. 2015 vintage,bb 02/2019. Strong apple aroma,straw colour. Sweet apple taste,alcohol very upfront. Disappointment.
3.4 15/08/2016 - from cider ratings backlog. 500ml bottle, 2015 vintage. Crystal clear golden colour, no head. Very nice appley aroma. Taste of medium sweet apples, slightly tart, some bitterness, hint of oak. Alcohol is noticeable but considering the ABV it’s fairly well hidden. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Nice but if I’m drinking cider I don’t usually go for something of this strength.
