Weyerbacher Hops Infusion

Weyerbacher Hops Infusion

Hops Infusion exhibits deep malt characteristics- this beer has undeniable character and body. Glowing a deep amber color, Hops Infusion is brewed with seven types of hops. The result is unmistakable-- hop-heavenly flavor with earthy, spicy, sharp citrus notes. Hops Infusion has four times the dry-hopping as our already hoppy IPA.

3.4 Pours a dark amber with an on off white head and sweet, hoppy aroma. Taste is of hops, a lot of caramel and toasty malt, and well balanced with a slight bitter, dry finish. Different IPA
3.7 A dark muddy brown pour with a very small head. Nose is sweet and fruity.Taste is full of hops, not overwhelmingly bitter with notes of citrus, pine. caramel and malt. Carbonation is soft and a heavy texture for an IPA. Finish is very dry, a different IPA but good nevertheless. Quaff Score 8 / 10
1.9 The hops are metallic and medicinal and harsh; can’t detect anything else notable either.
3.5 Citrusy, fruity aroma. A bit cloudy dark amber in color with creamy vanishing top. Good, mid astringent,a bit spicy on tongue, bitter taste; to me taste seems monolitic but I guess this means well balanced flavor. Bitter and minimal dry finish. Middle body, easy drinkable. Nice one.
1.9 355 ml bottle bought @ Bierkompass.de. Pours tiny hazy reddish orange with a small white head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet and tiny fruity with crackers, bread, pineapple, grass, tobacco, caramel, papaya, butterscotch and hints of grapefruit juice, liquorice fudge, cardboard and lemon zest. Taste is tiny sweet, very bitter and very metallic with crackers, cardboard, grapefruit rinds, pine, orange peal, straw, butterscotch and dry wood. Mouthfeel is tiny round, astringent and light bodied. Finish is bitter with grapefruit rinds, butterscotch, straw, pine, dry wood, bread and orange peal. Terrible! Possibly a bad bottle.
2.4 (Bottle) Pours hazy copper amber with an off-white head. The aroma holds flowers, wet tobacco/Swedish snus, light fruit/canned fruits, grainy bread, butter fudge, honey, touch of salt liquortice and wet leather. The flavor is light sweet to dry, medium bitter and tiny acidic with notes of citrus, earth, metal, wet cardboard, bready, honey and flowers. The mouthfeel is unclean with a light to medium carbonation. Hoppy and light malty finish. Near medium bodied.
4.1 Postupně sem budu doplňopvat piva, co jsem vypil a zapsal si, chvilku to asi bude trvat a proto k těm dříve vypitým pivům nebudou žádné "dojmy"
3.2 Bottle from mane liquor. Dark golden pour with off white head leaving superb lacing. Aromas of zesty fruits. Taste isn't as fruity as the nose as the malts take over. Quite hoppy too. Easy on the palate very drinkable. Good beer
2.3 Pours a darkish amber color with a nice amount of head. Aroma is spicy and citrus hops but smells a bit stale. Not much malt in the aroma. Taste is stale and odd. The hop flavor is citrus and there’s some malt there but there are some off-flavors. Aftertaste is pretty a little odd too. Very dry in the finish. Not a fan of this one or maybe I got a bad bottle.
3.2 Bottled. Pours amber in colour with a off-white head. Malts, hops like pine and hints of citrus in aroma. Flavour quite fruity, exotic fruits as peaches comes to mind, malty too. Nice.
3.0 12 oz bottle purchased at the Westmere Beverage Center (Albany, New York) on September 18, 2012. Honey golden little head. Dry hopped aroma of grapefruit, a little sweet. Citrus taste very sour, a lot of notes of pine, pine aftertaste. Honey golden little head. Dry hopped aroma of grapefruit, a little sweet. 3.3 bottle. amber with one finger head. malt forward ipa with caramel and plenty of hops. decent, but not great.
3.4 Bottle, 355 ml. Almost clear, dark amber with a small, off-white head. Fat, earthy, spicy and grapefruity hop aroma with tropical fruits. Medium body with a heavy dose of caramel malt and a fruity medium bitter hop bitterness.
3.9 Colour of copper, white head. Aroma of black tea, caramel and aromatic hops. Flavour is bitter, sweet and piny. It also tastes like caramel.
3.4 Poured from a bottle into a brandy snifter.Pours a dark copper with a beige head of foam that dissipates down to just a ring around the edge of the glass. The aroma is fairly malty and sweet with a more herbal feel to it than anything. Maybe some tree bark. Earthy and leathery. Taste is somewhat bitter, but more leathery and bark-like. Pretty enjoyable and definitely something I could drink several of before getting tired of it. Not too heavy at all.
2.6 A-- Poured a dark, somewhat clear amber copper color. Attractive enough looking. Started as light brown film and had to coax a two finger head by vigorous swirling. Settled back to film then. Some spotty lacing. S-- Pine, grapefruit, lemon, slightly grassy, and lots of Carmel. T-- Toffee, near burnt. Orange, lemon, grapefruit, and more grass. M-- Watery in mid and back palate. Front is more metallic than anything else really. Low carbonation and somewhat puts me off in drinking this. O-- Not real good. Decent looking and decent smelling. Comes apart after that.
3.3 On bottle from Cervezorama, Madrid. Golde color, good foam. Intense hoppy aromas, piney. Medium/high body & complexity. Immediate stick sweetness & very high bitterness. Very enjoyable
3.2 Bottle. Pine and some citrus in the nose. Slightly hazy orange color with a creamy head. Initial is all strong hop, a cutting bitterness in mid with some fruitiness (peaches) in the background, and final also a bit strong... with some metallic notes as well. Medium-heavy body, A sharp hoppy brew. The finish is just a touch off, ink or acid or ....
3.0 Taken from old notes. Sweet nose with caramel notes. Taste is same with some bitterness. Finish is clean.
3.4 Bottle at the Beer Temple Amsterdam. Deep clear amber pour, frothy head but minimal lacing. Malty aroma, but the real enjoyment comes from the heavily hopped spicy taste. A real hop lovers dream. Very refreshing when served cool and at 6.2% it has just the right level of alcohol for a session!
3.5 Bottle shared at the beer temple. Decent white head. Clear amber pour. Nice malty bitterness. A lovely brew.
3.7 I held onto a bottle of this to taste/compare along side Weyerbacher’s new IPA "Last Chance" and they should have stuck with this one. This one has a great hoppy nose, full mouth flavor, and finish. Solid malty balance.
3.3 Deep copper pour. Some citrus grapefruit. Nice and hoppy without overdoing it. Good as usual from weyerbacher.
3.0 Medium amber with a frothy head. Aromas of about a 50 50 balence of piney hops and caramel. Flavors of light grassy/fruity hops, toffee, and has a slight hint of nuttyness. Medium bitterness, slightly dry, light sweetness. Not sure if im being harsh to this rating after rating and tasting mostly imperials for the last month or so.
3.6 Bottle, 6.2%. Grapefruity and piney aroma, not as sweet smelling as many other of the style. Cloudy orange amber colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour starts off quite bitter, a bit rough, but clean. Then comes a teaish and creamy note and a little sweetness. The hop flavour is not extremely fruity or citric - or sweet for that matter.
3.1 Given it’s name I was expecting something, well...more hoppy. Aroma is strongly malt with minor grapefruit and pine. Deep amber ale appearance. It tastes bitter anyway, but ultimately it feels hallow next to heavier bodied stronger IPA’s. A return to the style’s roots.
