Weyerbacher Last Chance IPA

Weyerbacher Last Chance IPA

A full-flavored hop assault delightfully lacking in balance. A combination of Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe and Columbus hops are used to produce pungent aromas of grapefruit, pine and citrus.

3.2 Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is pure hop pellets, citrusy, spicy-earthy. Taste is juicy orange, a bit earthy, toasted malts, bittersweetish slightly warming finish. Oily mouthfeel. Not bad, but the pure hop pellet aroma is not for me.
3.6 Bottle from Bert’s Slightly hazy light golden color with a decent sized bubbly white head. Earthy pine and resin with a sweet bready maltiness to back it up. Not quite as dry as I’d like but its a decent beer.
4.4 Bottle from Whole Foods Market Fair Lakes in VA Aroma: citrus, pine, caramel Appearance: clear golden with a white head Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness, Palate: medium body, sticky, average carbonation, bitter finish, Delicious
3.4 Bottle share. Pours hazy orange, minimal head, minimal lacing. Big piney nose with a bit of tropical fruit, grapefruit. Slightly sweet, with caramel notes and something almost like anise near the end.
3.4 a little haze. no head. bottle share. piney? weird citrus. pretty good beer
3.4 Bottle. Murky amber. Aroma of fruit, earth, pine and caramel. Really balanced, caramel and spicy, earthy fruit. Hoppy finish
2.9 Funky aroma and maybe even funkier taste. This is an odd IPA. Very earthy, very odd bitterness, and absolutely no malt to balance it out. Have tried other beers from these folks and their style is just not for me.
3.2 A pint on tap at Tiger Mart (SC). The hazy orange-amber body is topped by a good head that has decent retention and leaves streaky lacing on the glass. Over ripe tropical fruit notes from the hops dominate the aroma. The taste follows but has little in the way of unattractive aspects the "over ripe" description implies. Feel - medium body and near medium carbonation. Overall - a good but not great mix of hops that’s sure to appeal to some more than it did to me.
3.2 12 oz pour, aroma is splendid, citrus hops with a little bit of bread. Appearance is not so splendid, it is over run with floaties. An abundance of floaties, almost to the point that you wonder if this will make you suck. Taste is lacking in a few key categories, a little pungent, a little flat. Palate is medium bodied with harsh carbonation. Overall, not a great ipa, would get it again if were the only option.
3.3 Pours a nice golden yellowish brown. Aromas of malts, fruit, and a touch of spice. Has flavors of chocolate, caramel, and a touch of wood.
3.2 Taster... This is a decent but not exceptional IPA ... Not bad... I would not turn it down on a hot summer day ...
3.4 Draft. Bottle. Aroma of light hops and caramel. Malty flavor with a grassy hops bitterness but is nicely balanced. Easy drinking
2.8 Poured from a bottle. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a thin off white head. Light carbonation and plenty of lacing. Light pine resin and citrus aroma. Somewhat bitter on the roof of the mouth with an odd lemon zest flavor almost like dish soap. Strange aftertaste. Not my favorite.
3.2 Bottle from Bethesda Food and Beverage. Hazy amber body with slight head. Nose is hoppy, floral, some citrus. Taste is hoppy, bitter and sweet. Nice grapefruit notes. Decent.
3.3 Deep amber with huge head that does fade pretty quickly, slight haze. Sharp pine and citrus with some biscuity malt aroma. Somewhat watery mouthfeel at first that does coat the mouth for a moderate finish. Fair amount of carbonation on tongue. Bitter resins prominent with piney citrus aftertaste. Malt presence is subdued. Kind of reminds me of some of the session ipas with a better mouthfeel (but lacking flavors from malts).
3.2 12 oz bottle. The pour is a thicker dark orange with a surprising lack of head and, as such, no lace. The aroma is decent, but incredibly one dimensional. There is a bitter resin and some tropical grapefruit. Maybe a little pineapple chimes in toward the end, but then it's back to the resin. The flavor is a little better. There is a little more of a hip flavor to it behind the fruits and the light resin bitterness. It's still lacking in complexity. The mouth feel is surprisingly carbonated and light. Especially surprising considering how it looks. The aftertaste is piney and carries a nice resin bitterness. Not too shabby, but I wish there was a little more dimension to it.
2.4 Drank from a pint glass, poured from a twelve ounce bottle. Pours a hazy orange/golden color. Has pretty strong aromas of hops, but the hops are not overpowering, not a bad IPA.
3.8 on tap at Red Robin Bensalem - great hop flavor. Slight hop aroma. Nice golden color.
3.6 Bottle 35,5cl / Botella 35,5cl. @ Slainte. A: Hazy amber / Ambar turbio. T/S: Hops, fruity / Lupulo, afrutado.
3.7 355ml bottle. Light hazy orange color with off white head. Hoppy aroma, citrusy fruity, grassy, piney, caramel malty. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
3.6 12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. A big fruity nose. The flavor is big sweet pine hops, citrus, crystal, caramel.
3.5 Cloudy golden color with white head, good retention. Aroma has notes of citrus and grapefruit, good presence of resinuous notes. Flavor with strong bitterness, fruity notes, presence od caramel and peach. Decent bitterness in the final with good duration.
3.4 has an amber pour with a decent head. there’s a citrus, pine, fruit, and floral aroma. flavors of grapefruit, pine, citrus, and bread. medium body that went down smooth.
3.8 Bottle: Copper color with a one finger white head and thin lacing. Pine and citrus hoppy grapefruit aroma and flavor. The taste has a medium bitterness level.
3.5 Great beer for the best cause. Standard ipa with a little kick of pine and leather. Tap
3.3 4 oz. draft at the brewery in Easton, PA; ambery-golden color with off-white head. Aroma notes of strong tropical citrus/pine hops and lighter caramel malt sweetness. Taste adds some toasted grain, light spices, resin and dried fruit zest bitterness. Medium body, moderate-low carbonation, dry with citrus/pine bitter finish. Maybe their attempt at a west coast IPA but a smidgen too much.
2.9 12 oz bottle served fridge chilled into pint glass. Short white head. Some lacing. Beer is coppery orange in color. Light hoppy aromas with notes of citrus and pine. Taste is lightly sweet and medium bitter with notes of pine, citrus and grass. Medium bodied. Thin texture. Somewhat abrupt bitter finish. Decent IPA. Lacking some crispness. Nothing to rave about.
2.7 Bottle to glass. Appearance: Medium yellow color. Small white head. Aroma: Light pine, grass, maybe a hint of orange. Taste is sharp pine...then some hops, alkali finish. Not too pleasant.
3.4 Poured from a bottle. Appearance is a copper color with decent head. Aroma is citrus hops, resinous, piney. Taste is hop forward, with some malt balance, bitter finish. Palate is thin. Overall pretty good but not amazing.
3.3 Draught & Ginger Man. Hazy bright orange with small off-white creamy head, grassy hops aroma, low carbonation, somewhat sharp hoppy taste, long finish. Quality IPA though not spectacular.
