White Pony Zumbi

White Pony Zumbi

Imperial porter brewed with english and belgian malts, belgian speciality yeast and english hops.

Strong complex malty character balanced by noble hops, with a soft roasted touch. So drinkable!

4.0 Bevuta il 03/01/2018 @MelrosePlace in Romagnano Sesia (NO). Nero impenetrabile. Buon corpo. Texture vellutata.
3.8 F: medium, tanned, not long lasting. C: dark, opaque. A: roasted malt, bit coffee, dark fruits, bit vinous. T: malty, light dark fruits and chocolate, cocoa, bit vinous, bit tobacco, not very complex but still very enjoyable beer and relatively easy drinking, almost full body, lower carbonation, 33cl bottle from Prik & Tik Leuven.
3.4 Bottle @ home. Black with a dark brown head. Aroma medium+ malty (roasted, burnt caramel, alcohol). Flavor medium sweet, licorice, burnt sugar, llight dark chocolate, lots of alcohol, with a dry finish. Medium+ body, medium carbonated.
3.7 Bottled. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, bread, and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, bread, alcohol, and chocolate, leading to a dry finish.
3.2 330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Chocolately, slightly roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of couverture, fruity hints of plum and morello, overtones of roasted nuts. Taste is roasty dark malty, chocolately, minimally alcoholic, hints of rust and blood, tar, a metallic touch; soft to flat carbonation.
3.7 Zumbi is a carbon black stout with sustained stable nougat-colored foam. The aroma is coffee, a little vanilla and hardroasted malt. The taste is very composed of both coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and roasted malt. It has very high palate and a soft carbonation. The hops bitterness is well balanced in comparison with its high volume and it also has a weak characteristic of smoke and dried fruits. The alcohol is a bit present, so maybe saving a couple of years would benefit it.
3.6 Brunatnej barwy, piana beżowa. Aromat średnio intensywny. W smaku nie jest złe. Trochę za bardzo wodniste.

3.7 Thuis geproefd 04 jan. 2017. Fles via Dinks4U. Zwart bier, met een donker beige schuimkraag. Aroma caramel, geroosterde mout, chocolade. Vol mondgevoel. OK.
3.4 Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Chocolate notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Slightly metallic. Oily palate.
3.7 Dark brown color. Dark brown head. Dark plum and roasted malt character. Very rich not bad
3.4 Robe noire, mousse minimale.
3.5 Aroma: dried fruits, prune, burnt grain, alcohol. Appearance: dark without head. Taste: dried fruits, prune, light sweetness moved to bitterness in he finish. Palate: full bodied, light carbonation.
Fajne w sumie lekko sesyjne piwo.
3.7 Black. Malty, roasted, and spicy, with notes of liquorice, caramel and chocolate, and metal in the aroma. Full, sweetish taste with spice, light bitterness and some alcohol in the finish. Medium body. Overall, a very nice porter. Tasty, smooth and lightly boozy.
4.2 Bottle, 33cL. Home. A shining black beer with a medium beige head ; medium retention. Roast, light toast, coffee, black chocolate, herbal note, dried fruits note. Light sweet, medium dry lasting bitter refreshing, light warming background. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, dry bitter chocolate lasting finish. Overall, delicious !
4.1 31/XII/16 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ Delft - BB: VIII/2017 (2016-1529) Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige to brown head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very roasted, coffee, sweet, caramel, dried fruits, ripe banana, dark chocolate. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: lots and lots of chocolate, sweet, caramel, bit sugary, cocoa powder, some peanut butter, bitter touch. Aftertaste: sweet, sugary, lots of caramel, alcohol, some coffee, bitter touch, dark chocolate.
3.9 Bottle at home. Clear deep dark brown, brown head. Alcohol aroma, rich chocolate mousse, licorice, biscuit, light coconut. Carbonated, sweet licorice, caramel, mou, toffee, light ashy/burnt wood, bitter finish.
3.3 Bottle. Dark brown color. Aroma: caramel flavor, wine, a little alcoholized, dried fruits, dried plums and cherries, esters. Taste: caramel and dried plums, raisins, sweet wine, roasted, a little jam.
3.5 Kolor: ciemnobrunatny, lekko zamglony.
3.5 Bottle. Deep brown. Opaque. Molasses, spices, toast, prune on nose. Medium body. The flavour follows the aroma with additional roast. Decent. At the highest
3.5 Butelka pite w domu. Kolor ciemny, piana niezbyt mocna .Aromat czekolady trochę wiśniW smaku słodkie przechodzące w wytrawne. Alkohol dobrze ukryty, dobre piwo.
3.9 33cl Bottle shared. Appearance: Opaque pitch black, with a medium sized brown head that diminishes quickly. Aroma: roasted malts, caramel, coffee, red fruit tones.Taste: A decent dark bitterness of roasted matls, and chocolate, coffee, some red fruit and caramel providing some sweetness and lightness. Medium body, medium carbonation. Ok Imperial Porter.
3.7 Piana beżowa, sycząca, błyskawicznie znika do zera. Wysycenie średnie do niskiego, dość wodniste w odbiorze.
3.5 Rami Rami is drinking a Zumbi by White Pony Microbrewery at Konstruktorska Business CenterKawa, czekolada, ciekne owoce (sliwki), pumpernikel, sherry, malo ciala, slodkie, srednio wysycone, smaczne, rzeskie, zadne tam imperial ;) Ocena potraktowana skryptem do przeliczania ocen (uzgodnienie UT/RB).
3.8 Pitch black, one finger, poor quality tanned head. Aroma is awesome, but it’s so not intense enough. Sweet and bitter chocolate, dehydrated plums, cherry, red wine. Same notes in taste. First sweet, cherry, winey, After that, it develops some delicate roasted notes, very smooth and pleasure. Tiny touch of alcohol, super pleasant. Unfortunately it’s a bit over carbonated, I was also expecting a bit more body. Very good beer, but was hoping for something mind blowing.
3.7 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy light brown colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a opaque except at the edges dark black brown colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was vinous and brown malt. The thick crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a lingering mild roasted malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt mildly vinous toasted malt brown malt and dark malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.
