Wicked Weed Tropicmost Gose

Wicked Weed Tropicmost Gose

Pronounced "GOH-zuh", this style of beer is traditionally brewed with the heavy use of wheat and spiced with salt and coriander. The second rendition of our ‘Most Gose’ series incorporates these traditional ingredients with the addition of passionfruit for a fruity aroma and refreshingly salty finish.

3.0 can, from the Beer Dispensary, Apex. ok aroma, lightly sweet, moderately salty. passionfruit gives a berry streak. hazed golden yellow color, good initial head, faded quickly to a ring, no lace. more sour than sweet flavor. light body, thin creamy mouthfeel, acidic sweet finish. it’s fine, nice blend on the flavor with the fruit and acidic side.
3.9 12 oz. can, shared by Brian, who was trying to get rid of all his ’Budweiser’. Pale, hazy yellow, with a big, fluffy, off-white head. the aroma is distinct passion fruit up front, with some light yogurt, sea salt, coriander, lemon zest, and mango. Sweet and lightly fruity, with a mild and very pleasant tart flavor that lingers on the palate. Light body, crisp, not very acidic, and clean. This is a thoroughly pleasant, mellow gose. The fruit adds a lot, without overwhelming the very nice base beer.

4.0 This is probably the best tasting, most balance and refreshing gose I've had had. I've now replaced water.

3.8 Thanks for the share, pours an apricot color with 1 finger head that dissipates, nose is pink salt, sweet tarts, and fruit in the back, light bodies for sure, passion fruit comes out more in taste with some salty salinity and some sour action, everything is pretty tame, nice for the style, if this was canned this would be a nice summertime pool offering, not a bad gose, however needs some more punch from the salt to really take things a up a notch

3.1 Bottle from Beer Gonzo and day 11 of my Advent Calendar. This one is 4.1% ABV. Hazy yellow colour with a thin white head. Aroma has lemon, sherbet, but not much passion fruit. Taste is sharp light sweet to light sour.
3.2 Bottle. An unclear, orange-colored beer with a minimal sized off-white head. Just some bubbles around the rim actually. The aroma is mostly on the fruity side, tropical fruits, not much else coming through. The flavor has some wheat and salt notes, a wee spiced hint too, but it’s the passionfruit that runs the show. It’s medium bodied, smooth and quite dry, with a mostly fruity finish. Overall, it’s an easy drinkable, tasteful beer, perhaps a bit too straight forward. 161209
