3.3 Thanks altonbrownd for the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing well filtered caramel brown with quickly dissipating brown leather colored foam. The nose shows a lot of sweet malts. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Flavors of a lot of sweet malt with a light tea astringency finishing on a lightly sharp IPA bitterness.

3.3 [24/12/15] Bottle from Happy Valley Supermarket in Portland, OR: Golden brown body with slight head. Nose of malts, caramel, chocolate. Taste is malts, caramel, chocolate, spices. Nice bitter finish.
2.4 12-ounce bottles in a glass. I like the alcohol content, but it is almost as hoppy as an IPA, which is a little much for my preference.
3.3 Kirkas punertavankuparinen olut puolen sentin kestävällä hieman höttöisellä vaahtokerroksella. Tuoksussa maltaisuutta, havuisuutta ja toffeeta, kuitenkin aika miedossa muodossa. Maku ennen kaikkea karamellisen maltainen. Kuiva havuisen katkera ote nousee esiin ennen kaikkea jälkimaussa. Melko makea ja täyteläinenkin suutuntuma, mutta jotain tästä puuttuu. Alkoholi ja lämmittävyys piilossa.
2.8 355ml embossed bottle. Old rate, This is a high-boost red ale with some booze and caramel.

3.5 Backlog...................... @ Havregatan 20121123. Bottle from Systembolaget.
2.9 Pours dark mahogany with compact head; aromas of fruitcake and port; rich palate typical of the old English ale style. Rich.
3.6 Pours a clear orange/amber with a full rocky off white head. Aroma is floral hops and spices. Taste is sweet caramel malt, mocha, and buttered biscuits. Hop bitterness is minor. Smooth, very tasty and drinkable.
4.1 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/19/2015. Pours slightly hazy reddish copper color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Great appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light roast, floral, grass, and toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light roast, floral, grass, and toasted earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange rind, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light roast, and floral/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Red IPA style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
3.3 Reddish Amber Color, Huge Lasting Head, Decent Lacing. Faint Sweet Malt And Pine Aroma. Moderate Sweet Malt, Pine Hop Bitter. Medium Body. Hides ABV Well. Smooth Drinker. Enjoyable and Satisfying. Worth A Shot.
3.2 I poured it from the bottle into a pint glass. It pours a reddish amber color with a decent off-white head and lacing. The aroma is hops and bready malt. The taste is bitter hops, bread, and some grapefruit peel. It was pretty smooth and creamy. This was pretty good.
2.9 On tap at P&P Charleston. Clear Amber with small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malt, medium body, low carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is caramel malt and some herbal hops.
3.6 12 oz bottle served in a snifter. Bottling date: 26 August 2015. Pours wih a dark red-brown body that’s initially covered by a good size bone-colored head. The head, however, soon reduces to a thin top coat. Very good lacing is left on the glass. Aroma: hoppy red ale Flavor: more bitter and hoppy than expected (I didn’t read the deScription first), but mild-moderate levels of each. Feel: medium body and carbonation. Overall: a Red IPA that works well as a winter seasonal.
3.1 Sampled on draft at Champs in Altoona this beer poured a dark caramel-bronze color with a large foamy orange-tan head that left exceptional lacing. The aroma was sweet and fruity with citrus and yeasty notes. The flavor was tart, tangy and sweet with lemon, caramel and an underlying bitterness. Medium length bitter and tart lemon finish. Medium body. Pleasant.
4.2 Ambra scuro con buona schiuma. Ottimo aroma di dark fruits, prugne. Bene al palato con ingresso caldo e pieno dolce con finale amaro e luppolo lungo. Molto buona.
3.9 Pours dark amber with nice sweet malty nose. Head is decent not super long lasting. Drinks little heavy for amber with decent amount of hops. Some bitterness and Carmel on finish.
3.4 Sample from beer rep....new b.o.m. at work...i liked this one...taste was malt and a little caramel some hops r mixed in....smooth drinking....solid stuff.
3.6 1" off white head.. good retention and lace.. the brew is a very pretty slightly deep amber. Nose is chock full of American hops and a descent amount of caramel and a bit more toasted malt... bunches or citrus with some piney hoppiness that I can only think of as maybe Simcoe.. pretty piney. Flavor begins the same as the nose.. but with some pretty pithy citrus hoppiness.. maltiness has plenty of toast with some very lite background chocolate essence.. the hops right now are very fresh.. so the malts are playing 2nd or 3rd fiddle, but the essence is still there... the hops are a bit oily (I like) on the finish with a nice medium body and carbonation.. very inviting though not a traditional Winter Warmer.. more of a Warmer with a PNW hop kick.
3.5 It pours deep amber color with ruby tinges and a head that is full and leaves plenty of lacing. It has aromas of caramel malts, dark fruits, some grass hops, and some wood flavors. It has flavors of dark fruits that produce a sweet sensation to start the flavor with and other flavors of piney hops, grassy hop, and malts. The other effect on the palate is smooth with moderate bitterness.
