3.5Draft at F&H Fort Worth. Nice orange color with a foamy white head. Very fruity and piney aroma. Pithy bitterness in the flavor with a long finish. Fine.
3.86.2% from Rakuten. Nice orange-hold color which I associate with IPAs. Nice fruity/floral hop aroma with a few rye spicy notes. It has a smooth fairly full-bodied mouthfeel. The flavor is caramel malt sweetness, then a touch of bitter pine & finishes on a fruity bitter hop mixed with malt note. An easy drinking IPA, not amazing but very solid.
3.5Bottle. Pours is hazy, decent aroma of hops and rye. Flavor is also decent hops and rye, nothing special but solid.
3.512oz bottle 6/17/13 (Binny’s Naperville Mix A Six)-36° in shaker-Pours a clear orangish amber with a small white head. Aroma of rye. Taste of hops, malt, pine, and citrus. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and goes down quite easy. Nice brew.
4.0Clear amber color. Light hops smells a slight malt sent arises as well. It has a nice hoppy start that is nicely contained before it runs to far. It leaves the palate surprisingly refresh for an IPA.
3.7Clear brown colour, minimal head. Hoppy aroma with some caramel. Taste is only slightly bitter. Tingly mouthfeel due to cheerful amount of bubbles. Nice IPA.
3.6Pour amber with a slight haze. Nice aromas of pine, citrus and what I want to say is rye. A nice balance with the taste. The rye something that I am not sure I like or not, but this is a well made brew that I enjoyed.
3.3Pours amber, foamy head that stays long. Aroma hoppy. Flavor nicely blended hop bitterness and toasted malt. Medium body, lively carbonation.
Decent IPA.
3.5Bottle. Pours a copper brown with off-white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops, but well-balanced by rye and malts. Taste is well-balanced between the hops and malts, slight bitterness in the finish.
3.8Copper with decent, creamy, beige head , light lacing / Sweet, earthy nose of caramel, spun sugar, pine, citrus / Medium body, chewy, sweet but good balance and hop bite, with big bitter finish / Flavors of fresh caramel, grapefruit, pine, rye spice / Very nice in a sweeter, maltier style, and this bottle may be a little past its prime.
3.7On tap at Kincaids in Bloomington. Great IPA with aromas amd bitterness to match the malt
3.6Pours nearly clear, deep amber with a thick, tan head.
Caramel, grapefruit, spiced aroma.
Taste is a spicy blend of hops, caramel, rye.
Very smooth with a soft, herbal/grapefruit bitter.
Very good.
3.7Herbal, fruity, spicy and light cereal-ish aroma. Flavor is tangerine-like fruit, herbal, pretty spicy (from both the rye and hops, I assume). Grainy rye malt flavor, with some sweetness. Moderate bitterness.
3.6Straightforward IPA with a nice mix of rye and hops; some grapefruit bitterness. Dry finish.
3.5Aroma is hops, dirt caramel and some honey notes. nice caramel color, lots of head retention due to carapils. Mouthfeel is nice. The rye flavors definitely jump out at you. Pretty straight ahead, crystal, rye, pale malt combo. The rye just doesn’t seem like it works with these south of the hemisphere hops. after taste is pretty dry, bitter, and sour. Nice beer just not all that great. Enjoyability 3/5.
3.4Clear copper color, head that quickly drops to rim, lots of dots of lace. Taste is caramel malt overtaken by cleansing hops. The two move in tandem to the finish. Excellent food beer (especially pizza!), uncomplicated, easy to drink. Recommended.
3.5Moderate hop aroma, with a touch of rye. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. The hops and the rye come together quite well in this, leaving a long rye finish. If you like rye and you like IPA’s, this is one to try, especially at the price point.
2.9355 ml bottle @ Parkteatret Bar,Oslo.June 01,2013
Beer from a tulip glass out in the sun
Copper in color with a thin white head.
Aroma is hop, herbs, yeast and some alcohol.
A bit bitter and spicy beer.
The beer is ok, but not a favorite.
To expensive for buying it again in Norway
4.1I feel like my eyes were just opened this weekend to rye IPAs and this was probably the best of the bunch.
3.5On draft at the brass tap, poured a light amber color with aromas of light rye, grapefruit, and some light pine. Flavors are the same, ok IPA overall.
3.5A - Pours a brilliant amber body with crystal clear clarity. 2 fingers of moundy off-white foam slowly sinks leaving heavy patterns of lacing.
S - Sweet grapefruit right off the top. Some rye and sweet malt malt in the background.
T - Sweet malt blankets over the tongue before citrus hops comes in right along with a spicy lavender rye, wicking most of the sweetness away. The hops are slow to build and seem to get stronger all the way through to the aftertaste. The caramel malt blends very well and holds it’s ground. Finishes with a spicy bite.
M - Heavier body, low to medium carbonation.
Good flavor combinations that were layered very well. The flavors change nicely throughout the drink. Great usage of sweet and rye malts and a nice hop profile as well. This would go great with Pad Thai or Panang.

3.0Light orange tint, small white head. Nose of bitter hops and deep rye. Lightly bitter on the tongue. Rye and sour fruit on the tongue. Malt and hops with alcohol out the back.
3.712oz bottle pours a clear copper color with a thick white head that leaves pretty good lacing. Smells of rye, pine, and grapefruit and tropical notes. Tastes of all the same things in the smell with slight caramel and the rye really comes through. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with good carbonation. Overall this is a really good ipa. The rye is very prevalent in a good way. I will definitely try this again.
3.1bottle sampled at the beach. Clear amber poor with ring of near white head. Smells and tastes extremely of rye. Distinct aroma of forestry hops and significant bitterness pervade the palate. Spicy sweetness from the rye. Didn’t really like it. But it was good for what it was I suppose
3.5Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle poured a roasted oatmeal color with apparent rye. Aroma was hoppy with a rye backbone. Taste was initially rank with the rye but after a few sips it gets good. In fact, when the beer warmed up the flavor enhanced making a very good beer experience.
3.4Honestly, for a Widmer brew, not all that bad. Fully hopped and the rye comes through and blends with the hop profile smoothly.
3.1On tap, pours a very cloudy reddish amber. Subtle notes of guava. Tastes a little dry but nice fruity notes
3.9Sweet orange peel, herbs and hops on the nose. Dark copper with no foam. Strong rye, burnt caramel and resin overtones with some noticeable hops and toffee on the finish. Slightly smokey with a full body. Overall, pleasantly dark and herby flavors with strong rye notes. Very unique IPA.
3.9Not bad did not notice O’Ryely was spelled funny so was surprised by the rye malt. I enjoyed it. It is hoppy and nicely bitter. It is very nice on the palate. Citrus definitely grapefruit. A well rounded RIPA for sure.
1.5From a bottle a little darker than a pale ale. Strong aroma of hoppy rye. Thin foamy head. Big strong and bitter, chewing on green grapefruit rinds again. Yes, bitter medicine finish. As a lager lover, I’m not impressed with this. Naggy Nellie. Bitter stuff hangs out in the back of my throat for what seems like hours.
