Wild Beer Nebula

Wild Beer Nebula

A Hazy IPA with low bitterness, but big hop character. We like to make beers we like to drink - this is one style we can’t ignore. Sit back and enjoy our tropical-breakfast-juice-like IPA packed with exciting new hops.

Nebula is a showcase of yeast embracing hops. The Vermont Ale Yeast, is responsible for the hazy appearance as it clings to the hop particles left over from extreme dry hopping. The yeast actually contributes a whole host of fruity esters, which can come across as peachy by themselves but in the end they blend seamlessly into the tropical hop profile we have selected.

4.0 330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5%. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Distinct aroma of pine, spruce, citrus, peaches and tropical fruits. Very refreshing flavour, distinct notes of citrus and tropical fruits, some fruity sweetness but not too much, moderate notes of spruce.
Bien sympa !
3.6 Tropical hops good for a lower strength ipa
3.3 Pale gold with biggish head. Aroma of tropical fruit and citrus. Taste of pineapple, passion fruit, peaches and grapefruit. Pleasant mouthfeel.
3.3 330 ml can. Hazy yellow colour, medium head with average durability, fair lacing, soft carbonation. Nose is fruity, lemon, pineapple, dust. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter, grapefruit, rather short finish. OK.
3.7 Nice NEIPA with tropical and (less marked) citrus fruit aromas with a juicy palate and low bitterness. Dominant fruits are pineapple, passionfruit and mandarin. Easy drinking and refreshing on the palate. Appears hazy golden with a loose white head settling to a stable film. (330ml can with BBD 12/3/20).
3.1 Nebula is an IPA bearing the name NEIPA, also known as the New England IPA. I have had a hard time distinguishing between West Coast IPA and NEIPA, but have gradually come to the conclusion that a NEIPA is brewed according to British traditions and is often unfiltered, creamy in the mouth and with less hops bitter aftertaste. Wondering if the beer type NEIPA is trying to revive the historic IPA? This NEIPA is unfiltered and has a nice aroma of freshly cut grass, a little pine needles and a little citrus. Quite quickly, the hops contributes the taste of mango, ribs and gooseberries which provide a perfectly acidic balance to the otherwise fine semi-dry aftertaste. It is a very tasty NEIPA and I look forward to tasting several of the same type, because as written before, this is my first acquaintance with this beer type.
1.8 Keg at We Brought Beer, Balham. Hazy straw with a white head. Aroma of wet grass, some over-ripe fruit and that wet dog note. Flavour is very sweet and caramelly, and I’m getting quite a note of skunked hops on this. Not sure if that’s deliberately to make the beer sweeter. However, it seems Wild might be missing the point of NEIPAs and their sweetness. Flavour is again sweet, before there’s a rush of slightly metallic bitterness, followed by a lingering flavour, not unlike that which you might get after rapidly consuming a whole tube of fruit pastilles.
3.5 #3453 Hazy, gold, enormously high white head. Aroma of oats, Knäckebrod, citrusy, floral. Taste is lightly bitter, really dry, a bit wild, citrusy, knäckenbrod, floral, very odd. Medium body and carbonation. I miss a touch of sweetness :)
3.5 Draught at BeerGeek Bar. Hazy, gold colored. AROMA- citrusy, instant lemon tea, spicy, mango, juicy. FLAVOR- neutral, slightly bitter, citrusy, mango, spicy, non-sweet juice, a bit floral. Medium bodied. Good.
3.8 Can from Waitrose. Bright, slightly hazy pour with good head. Juicy citrus, forest fruits, piney hop, slightly dry finish. Really nice.

T: orange, tangerine, bit pine, decent bitterness, nice fruity, very easy drinkable, soft carbonation, good balanced for the style, fully enjoyed.
3.6 Can from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours hazy golden with a big creamy white head.Fruity aroma with a nice citrus addition. Taste is smooth creamy, light fruity with almost no bitter notes at all.
3.1 330 ml can from Beer Hawk mystery case, bb 12/19. Pale orange, opaque. Nose - malts, toffee. Where's the funk Wild Beer? Taste - as nose. Letdown overall.
1.6 dorata, torbida, schiuma abbondante e bianca dalla buona tenuta. al naso bubble gum, medicinale, vegetale. ossidazione. brutta storia. in bocca lieve fruttato. corpo vellutato, watery, carbonazione bassa. amaro inesistente.

3.1 Underwhelming from go to whoa - not juicy enough - a bit soapy tasting - kinda underpowered - here in Australia our NEIPAs are full throttle in general so this is disappointing - however, it’s smooth on the tongue and innocuous and... I always love a NEIPA. Oh, and a disappointingly small can.
3.6 Ugjennomsiktig gul med lavt hvitt skum. Aroma av sitrus og humle. Smaken er av ulik tropisk frukt. Mildt bitter.
3.6 14/7/2019. Can at the Four Horseman, Bournemouth. Pours hazy/cloudy yellow gold with a large white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruits, passion fruit, vanilla and grass. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation.
3.9 Can @ The Four Horsemen. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are rich bitter tropical hops, fruits, citrus and has a nice long bitter finish.
3.8 Not as crazy as I expected, but still quality
3.3 @ Breugel. From can, poors opaque yellow, white lacing foam. Aroma is yeast, hop and strong floral notes. Taste modest bitter, floral aftertaste. (Arnhem 201907)
4.6 Fruity, light, and fresh, yet quite filling...all with a wonderfully refreshing aroma.
3.5 AR: Grapefruit, Litschi, Gras, Harz, Zitrus AP: milchiges goldgelb, Ananassaft TA: Harz, Litschi, Tropenfrucht, Zitrus
3.7 Can from Waitrose. Cloudy gold pour with a white head. Aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, tropical fruit. Pink grapefruit and lemon peel flavour.
3.4 Can, 0.33l. Hazy yellow pour, two finger frothy white head. Medium retention, nice lacing on the glass. Fruity nose, pineapple and grapefruit, lots of tropical notes. Grassy herbal background. Thin body, soft carbonation. Chewy mouthfeel, quite smooth due to low carbonation. Mild bitter taste with a touch of malty sweetness in the background. Fruity aroma, notes of pineapple, mango, grapefruit. Caramel malt. Some grassiness and a bit of a herbal touch to round it up. A bit light and tamed overall, aroma is there and so is the balance, but there's this lingering feeling that it should come forward stronger. Lcking that much needed fruit punch. Still, not bad. Could be better, yes, but still a good thirst quencher.
