2.6Can from HogTownHarry. clear pale gold green thin lasting head. Some pear aroma. Hey I think it is alright. Some sweetness. But it does have a bit of sourness from it. I kinda liked it. Drinkable.
3.4(can) clear very pale yellow colour with a small white head; aromas of apple, champagne; mostly sour and refreshing flavour with a long light sour finish
2.7pours extra pale yellow with a small white head. bit of sweet apples, faint pears, bit of cheese, light yeastiness, hint of lactose-like sweetness, grass. moderate carbonation, light body, semi-sweet and lightly herbal short finish. o-k, still a DP.
2.1Can from Total Wine, shared with the SoCal bros for RBSH3. Fucken A. Clear golden pour with no head. Smells like rubber, booze, maple syrup, cardboard, and sugar. Tastes like diabetes. Rubber, cardboard, sugar, pear, and maple. Mild tartness on the finish.
2.8Pours a clear golden color with minimal head. Aromas of rubber, honey, pear juice, and sugar. Palate is sugary sweet, with flavors of tart pear, and a bit of maple. Finishes semi dry.
2.6Poured from a cold can into a glass. Golden yellow color with no head, slight carbonation. Smells of fermented pear. Light cider initial taste, mild pear aftertaste.
3.0Can at Wurst und Bier on 7/19/13. Pours clear yellow with no head. Aroma of pear and slight butter. Apple flavor with slight diacetyl before a pear finish.
2.6Scent is light & floral. Less pear on the tongue & more white wine. Again, thinking the locals do this a lot better than this.
3.6I really like this! It is crisp, tart, tannen-y, sparkling. The pear flavor comes through nicely. My local pub was out of my normal cider and the bartender recommended this. I would say it is a bit like a cross between cider and champagne.
3.1Can shared by Mikey. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white bubble of head. Sweet fruit nose. Basic, earthy, mostly sweet pear and some light earthiness. Decent.
4.4This is a decent cider. I found it very refreshing. It pours a clear pale gold. The aroma is a perfect balance of sweet pears. The flavour is nice and smooth as well.
2.6Pear, yogurt, and subtle peach aromas. Clear gold with a quickly fading, white head. Dry grain alcohol and cheap pinot grigio flavors. Light body, low carbonation, and a clean, fruity finish.
1.516oz can for $1 at the grocery store. Pours clear golden. Weak white foam. No retention. Mild to low carbonation. Nose is butterscotch, a bit rancid, vinegar and salt. Taste is similarly salt and vinegar chips, tart green apple. Not fresh tasting. Could be infected? Not sure but certainly is not fruity or quenching.
1.8Clean and crisp. Pours a nice sparkling gold. Smells of pear, alcohol and mild vinegar, tastes much the same with vinegar coming to the fore.
3.1(old notes) Can, shared with cider-loving girlfriend. Pours a clear gold with a bit of lacing head. Aroma of pears, grapes, and alcohol. Taste is all pear - sweet and crisp with a nice bite of alcohol. Pleasant all around.
2.916.9 oz can. Pours clear pale gold with a dissipating crackling white head that leaves a ring. Aroma is fruit gone bad, sad to say. Taste starts out sweet before becoming quite tart. The rotten fruit present in the nose is accounted for in flavor, as well, but it’s not as pungent. Carbonation is low compared to most commercial examples, but still very much present. Drinkable, but not too impressive.
2.5Decent can, light pour. Aroma of apple and fruit. The taste is good for a perry, which are often pretty bland. It is more sour than expected but not a lot of pear flavor - it seems more like green apple. Better than expected, but I wasn’t expecting much. It probably would mix pretty easily.
2.9Tastes alright. Lots of pear here. Some alcohol. Some sourness. Pretty much tastes like a cider. tall can.
3.3Mild, slightly sour aroma. Sweet, if somewhat bland flavor. To me, tastes more like apple than pear. Decent change of pace, especially on a warm summer day.
3.4500ml can picked up at The Grapevine
Appearance: Clear straw yellow, very little carbonation
Aroma: Pears,apple cider and sugar
Taste: Pear, sugar with a mild bitterness in the finish
Nice and easy drinking
3.4Can from App vintner - clear very pale yellow with little head. Aroma is of tart pears. Taste is a bit tart but not sour. This is better than the other perry I have tried, but it feels mid-table when compared to some of the great things being done with cider.
3.5Pours a light yellow, with soft carbonation. Aromas of pears and apples. Crisp. Smooth pear and apple flavors. Nice carbonation. Almost like a mellow late harvest wine...
2.9Pretty sure I’d never had a perry before this one, but we all start somewhere. It’s not bad at all. I wouldn’t want to drink two in a row but it would be nice to have again as a one-off on a cold winter’s day. Quite dry, which I was hoping for when ordering.
3.2Can. Clear pale yellow pour with a minimal carbonation head. Pear juice on the nose. Bright tart pear taste - you can almost taste biting through the skin of a pear. Very tasty - I’m enjoying this one.
3.4Can. Bready yeast and ripe pear aroma. Clear yellow with a white ring and some light. lacing. Sweet tart pear, apple, tannic white grape flavor. Light dry body. Very pleasant.
3.4Can. Sour pear juice and bready yeast aroma. Pale yellow color with minimal head. Mildly sweet-tart pear juice flavor with a grape seed finish. Nice balance. Very nice.
2.3Canned, clear golden with no head , tasted mostly like a cheap boxed chablis, very dry with an astringent cottony finish
3.0Can. Pours an average carbonated-yellow with a nose of weak chardonnay and pear. Flavor is watery pear and house white. Average mouthfeel. Not bad; kinda like a lower ABV whiter wine.
2.4Can poured at BTBF. Pours with a clear, very pale yellow with no head, good clarity and some signs of carbonation. Aromas are sharp with sulfur, wine, mold, mild acidity, musty. Not much distinct pear at all. Light fruitiness. Flavors are tart, artificial acid, tangy, sweet, pear, sulfur. Slightly rotten character. Medium bubbles with a strangely fuller body (sugar added), syrupy a bit. Not great.
3.3Poured from a 500 ml can. Very little carbonation. The aroma is similar to a sweet chardonnay, just a little softer. Some yeast character in the aroma as well. A nice mellow acidity followed by soft pear. A nice refreshing Perry.
