3.7 Bottle. Light peat aroma. Color is dark, but with light head, which doesn’t last. Taste is enjoyable, fresh, smoky with roasted malt notes. A very good embassador of scottish ale.
3.2 Bottle. Pours light brown, with a tan head that disappates slowly. Medium bodied, low carbonation, very fine bubbles. Aroma of malt, brown bread, copper & apricot. Taste is bittersweet malt of caramel and fruitbut a bit bland. Palate is enjoyable, soft and slightly creamy feel. Finish is soft, sweet, long and enjoyable. Taste is little bland but a very good palate and finish result in a pleasant drink.

3.6 Bottle 50 cl from Hyperboissons - Doubs (F). Dark russet with a fleeting foam sticking to the glass. Dominant malty flavors, caramel-toffee, roasted and fruity of apricot, date. The mouth is soft, round, unctuoustacky with notes of butter caramel, stewd fruit, earth and biscuit. Finale soft, rather long, sugary and low bitter.
3.2 500ml bottle. Clear dark brown colour, foamy off-white head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, nutty, yeast. Taste is sweetish malty, earthy, fruity, yeast, with light spice and some bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry slightly tangy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Flavour of lightly roasted malt, caramel, herbal hints and elderflower. Thin body with a slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. A delicate, malty ale. Reminds me a little of Cairngorm’s Trade Winds.
4.4 Ganska mörk färg. Fint skum. Lite rostad, knäckig smak. Mild. Jag gillar den. Och lagom svag...
3.1 500ml Flasche. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel kastanienfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig süß, blumig, leicht würzig. Geschmack röstmalzig, süß, dunkle Früchte.

2.7 Not complex and too sweet... I think, could be good during a meal... But not disgutsting at all
3.4 Bottle. Floral and citrus hop aroma, light toasted, nutty malt, notes of peat, fruit and tea. Complex and yet easy quaffable brew, maybe a tad watery but it gets more nutty and peaty as it warms. Interesting and tasty.
2.3 Week aroma, nothing much to note. Dark chestnut color, thin cream colored head. Very watery body. Balanced flavor, maybe leaning a little towards the malt side, with a slight roasted smoky aftertaste.
3.1 Bottle at Mia Restaurant, Edinburgh. Clear chestnut brown pour, no real head to speak of. Malty toffee aromas, light hop background. More sweet malt on the taste, if a tad on the watery side. Decent version of the style.

3.5 (Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 24 Nov 2013) Reddish brown colour with brief head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, dark fruit and toasty malt. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, red fruit, toffee and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty beer in excellent balance. Nice one.
3.0 Cask at White Horse. It pours clear deep brown with a tiny white head. The nose is brown bread, earth, toast and wood. The taste is smooth, wood, earth, rather savoury, light toast, brown bread and light smoke with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. No real depth and touch thin for my liking. Fairly inoffensive.
2.6 Bottle. Aroma is rather weak, with caramel, slight smoke, clove and hops. Black colour, small white head, quickly disappearing. Light sweetness, lightly bitter. Light body, thin watery texture, flat carbonation. A bit boring.
3.3 Brown btl abv 4.2, purchased at Kilpishalli Kilpisjärvi Finland. Very nice look, with its moderate vanilla-white head on a red-wine-coloured body, towards red-brown. Beautiful scents of roasted malts plus dark chocolate. Tastes roasted malts, sweet licorice, flourish feel, some bitter too. Good in the mouth with its well balanced but distinct bitterness. Much lacing inside the mug. At the end chocolate, roasted malts. Overall very tasty and enjoyable. Enjoyed 2013-10-24 at RateMeet with Rune.

2.6 Bottle. Low fluffy offw-white and quickly disappearing head. Hazy amber body. Malt caramel light fruity aroma. Roasted malts, little hosp bitterness, low carbonation, short finish, just a bit of fruithesse.
3.6 A very dark brown with some reddish colour, a head is almost medium and beige. Aroma is succesfully and quite complex, roastiness, chocolate, some toffee, wood, earthy aroma. Taste is quit esimilat than aroma, slightly roasted, wood, balanced and low toffeeish sweetness, a little bit of fruits and herbs. Medium- bodied, smooth carbonation, easy to enjoy. The positive surprise with the same earthy nunacees that could be found from many Haandbryggeriet’s beers. Complex and tastefull beer.
3.4 God og forfriskende Ale. Passe bitterhet og beskhet, og en deilig forfriskende smak. God tørstedrikke og koseøl. --- For norwegian readers...
