Bottiglia. Al naso l'aroma rimanda al fruttato. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il mantello birroso superiore resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è ramato. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è deciso. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, crosta di pane, agrumi, pompelmo, arancia, mandarino limone, spezie, resina, pino, mirtillo e ananas.
A 330ml bottle brought back from Scotland by my wife. Pours amber with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, grapefruit & biscuit. Medium carbonation. Really feel the high ABV. Good level of bitter in the finish. Decent DIPA
Pours golden, looks a lot like a pub lager. Aroma of apricot and peach jam. Taste has some apricot, peach, orange zest. Finish is bitter with grapefruit, lime and some sweet caramel malts. Very nice.
Bottle. Clear amber color, thick rocky white head, lacing, persistent.
Big smell of american hops.
Flavor of grapefruit, bitter orange, caramel malts, a tone of minerals and coal. Pale malts caramelized. Vague floral/fruity tones, very subtle.
Taste is intensely bitter.
Testure somehow watery, medium body.
Dry bitter finish, a bit short, a bit boozy due to ABV but well hidden.
Fajne owoce tropikalne i skórka od cytrusów w aromacie, itnensywnie, niestety trochę też czuć alkohol. Wygląda ok, nieco zbyt lagerowa barwa, spoko piana, lacing średni. W smaku znów przyjemne owoce tropikalne, cytrusa nawet nieco więcej, podbudowa słodowa jakaś jest, chociaż ciała raczej niedużo, ale mankamentem jest alkohol na podniebieniu. Z tego powodu piwo dla mnie nie dobre, a niezłe.

Double Joker, bien meilleur que la simple Joker. Plus de houblons et de texture. Agréable à déguster
Double ipa de 8,3 % abv,
5 malts : lager, vienna, pale crystal, blé, seigle, plus de l'avoine non malté.
Houblonnage en centennial, amarillo et simcoe.
Le brasseur nous parle d'une ipa " devilishly hoppy " !! A savoir ..
Mon exemplaire était à 4 mois après sa date.
Couleur ambré légèrement orangé, à la clarté nette.
Bulles très fines, en fontaine centrale vive.
Mousse blanche, un peu pâteuse, stable à 2 mm.
Arômes de lichee, gomme arabique, ananas
1ère bouche résineuse, très déséquilibrée.
Arrière-bouche qui arrache pas mal, avec de l'herbe à chat.
2ème avec résine, térébenthine, essence de menthe.
Arrière-bouche sans aucune harmonie.
Longueur avec des fausses notes à tire-larigot.
Jambes très collantes.
Levure faible.
Alcool largement sous son niveau.
Finale médiocre.
CONCLUSION : j'avais " devilishly " envie de présenter un double joker …

Bottle. Pours low hazy golden with creamy head. Aroma is resiny, piney, sweet malt. Flavour is light citrus, piney, resiny, kinda cloying sweet. Ok.

Mousse : Très fine couche de mousse irrégulière
Couleur : Orangée brumeuse avec reflets brillants.
Nez : Puissant houblon résineux et malt caramel, alcool très présent.
Bouche : Attaque puissante : Houblon amer et résineux, forte saveur orange / écorce d’orange. Bouche houblon chaleureux très sucré, biscuit, malt caramel, malt légèrement grillé. Alcool très présent, brutal. Final hit houblonné sucré / sucre houblonné, corps masqué par l’alcool, qui persiste sur longuement l’amertume.
Avis : Double IPA puissante, au houblon résineux savoureux mais à la complexité qui semble bridée, la présence alcoolique s’impose trop, empêchant en partie les houblons et malts de s’exprimer. Double IPA pourtant correcte, plutôt brutale.
Robe blond doré, légèrement mat, avec un très léger voile. Mousse moyenne, crémeuse, moyenne durée. Nez peu expressif, mêlant le houblon et le grillé. En bouche, ce mélange ressort, au profit du houblon, mais sans oublier le corps légèrement torréfié. Toutefois, je préfère celle-ci aux autres doubles IPA que j'ai pu goûter, plus agressives dans le corps grillé, qui devient écoeurant. Les houblons sont sur le fruit exotique, mais la sécheresse est atténuée par le corps. Alcool bien mené, colle à la puissance sans prendre le dessus, ajoute de la richesse. Agréable, une bonne surprise même si je ne suis pas un fan inconditionnel du style.

Very Hoppy, with a good after taste and powerful fizz, not very bitter , just well balanced good IPA !
From bottle, Very good, love my Jokers so this is more of the same but double better!
Clear deep color with a fine off white head. Decent lacing. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a fine carbonation level.Tad sweetness and an ok bitterness. Fine tail. Deep malty, fruity, some pine and citric hoppy flavor.

Dead hops, caramel and sewer aroma. Hazy golden color with small sized white head. Medium bitterness, some fruit. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation.
Bottle @mogwai, Helsingborg. Pours a golden colour beer with a medium head. Fruity and hoppy with notes of malt. Dry finish
nice double IPA with a bitter tendency.
Fat Biskoppen Järntorget. Färg kraftigt guldfärgad. Mörkare än Shadow Puctures. Doftar mye Maltigt med torkade frukter ja du en massa russin. Smaken då? Smakar som doften faktiskt. Mycket maltig Dipa. Bra mjuk medelkraftig eftersmak . Sämre än Shadow pictures ölen.
Smells like a more resinous joker. Quite dull. Decent chewiness but underwhelming...
330ml bottle : In a tulip glass. nice soft grapefruit zest nose , citrus and giving birth to bitterness . A large foamy white head above golde .. Sticky sweet piney hops stick to the fucken top of my palate .I could drink this kinda beer till I can’t recall my name. A bit more bitterness would be a constructive criticism.
Belle blonde avec de superbes reflets d’or et une fine mousse blanche. Ici nous avons droit à une Imperial IPA de la part des Ecossais de Williams Brothers qui va évidemment souffrir de la comparaison avec la Hardcore IPA de leur concitoyens de Brewdog, sans doute une, voir la référence en la matière. Déjà, le nez est prometteur car très floral avec une pointe de gourmandise sucrée. On retrouve du jasmin, de la bergamote, de la rose, une touche de poivre et de vanille, du caramel, du miel, du pain d’épice, du croissant chaud, de l’amande... Ni simple ni complexe, un nez bien équilibré avec de très beaux arômes. Un bon début ! En bouche, la texture est ronde, il y a du corps, l’alcool est au niveau mais relativement sage avec son 8.3% tout de même, il soutient les flaveurs sans les altérer. Les levures sont discrètes mais apportent un peu de mâche avec du bois de résineux, tandis que l’amertume, enfin, vient égayer nos papilles avec une astringence tannique prononcée mais jamais désagréable. L’arrière-bouche est à mis chemin entre les notes céréalières et les houblons, avec un côté plus "terrien" et végétal que le nez. La carbonatation est vive, ce qui sied parfaitement à ce type de bière. On retrouve des notes de prune verte ou d’abricot pas très mûr, mais clairement le fruit n’est pas le fort de ce breuvage. Non, on se focalisera vraiment sur les notes de céréales et les houblons qui font vraiment tout le travail aromatique. Sur le moment, je n’ai pas vraiment senti le côté "double IPA" au démarrage avec une amertume franche mais contrôlée. C’est dans la longueur que l’amertume s’exprime le mieux, avec cette astringence et ce fond de la langue martyrisée pendant de très longues secondes. C’est sur le final qu’on sent tout le houblonnage de cette bière. Même si cette Double Joker ne viendra pas titiller la Hardcore IPA (pas évident non plus !), on peut reconnaître que c’est une Imperial IPA réussie sans être renversante. Bouteille 33cl, Boissons du Monde, Saint-Egrève.
330ml bottle: BBE Oct 17. Poured into a Duvel glass at home on 17th Mar 17 during a random tasting session with myself. Thanks son, and Beers of Europe for this Christmas present (one of many brews Ben got me for my stocking). Clear golden pour, deep white blanket of foam on top. Piney hop nose surrounded by malty esters, taste similar: malty base with plenty of hops pushing the malts away into second fiddle. Good boozy feel to the brew too.
330ml bottle. Pours a deep amber with a small white head. Nose is that typical Williams Bros malt. Sweet caramel, biscuit, bread. Fairly thick mouth feel. Taste is very malty, sweet caramel grain, bit of an alcohol kick. Finishes off with a fairly bitter orange pith, grapefruit bitterness. Has a thick marmalade feel to it too. Decent.

Bière ultra sucrée avec une pointe caramel sucre candi avec une pointe résineuse en fin de bouche pas du tout équilibrée.
Strange Imperial IPA, very malty, alchool is well hidden but the aroma is a bit too weak.
330 ml bottle bought at CitySuper in New Town Plaza, Shatin.
Looks: Clear, golden orange colour; One-quarter finger head with soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Excellent sticky lacing with notable slight carbonation.
Aroma: Fragrant Ale malt, with strong orange, tangerines, strong cat piss, light caramel, floral, strong pine, sugar, lemon and grass.
Taste: Mid to strong sweet Ale malt, with strong orange, light grapefruits, floral, citrus syrup, pine, light resins, spices, light bread, lime, strong bitter hops and grass.
Body: medium body. Slick, smooth and fairly oozy palate.
Mouth Feel: Good Ale maltyness in a pretty solid background. Lots of oat smoothness and rye dryness. Orangey hops dominates, with fair grapefruits, floral, pine and light ooze. Sweetness was fair at first then took a sharp U-turn in citrusy syrup, strong but pretty tasty. 8.3% booze is very well hidden. Spicy with strong lime to round. Easy and nice!
Hoppiness: Strong orange, tangerines, strong cat piss, floral, strong pine, lemon and grass in nose. Light grapefruit, strong orange, floral, pine, resins, spices, lime and grass in taste; Bitterness is strong for a lasting, high astringent sweet-bitter finish.
After Taste: Dry. Citrusy, smooth and bitter to mouth.
Comments: Unlike most IIPAs, this one’s maltyness is pretty lightweight, almost APA-like, but was well complimented by smooth oats and spicy rye. Strong Amarillo’d orange and catty Simcoe made it very interesting from start to finish, without the overbearing resins a real plus. Light but enjoyable!
Bottle at home. Pours deep gold, slightly viscous. Subtle aroma of pine and orange. Soft mouthfeel. Thick piney quite sweet taste, really soft for a dipa/imperial. Nice but the hops could be bolder.
330ml bottle. Golden color, white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is dominated by toffee, with lemon , orange and citrus pith. Taste is heavy sweet but well balanced with medium/heavy bitterness. Palate is viscous, oily, softly carbonated. Overall this is a good example of a modern strong IPA, not excessively bitter or piny.
Golden-amber color with a fair head. It’s hoppy all the way, with flowery hops and green grass flooding your senses. Then the bitter taste comes along in what I would say is a good double IPA, except for the alcohol which is quite prominent. Worth trying, especially if you like huge amounts of hops.
