3.66900 Rating...Bottle: Poured black with a two finger tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, some light coffee. Taste is deep roasted malts, silky chocolate, more light coffee, little smoke, fruits. Interesting!
3.9Aroma : Deeply roasted chocolate malt, some stewed coffee, burnt wood/charcoaly and a damp earthy note. Taste : As aroma. Smooth full bodied creamy mouthfeel, bitter & ever so dry. Just what a classy dry stout should be. Excellent
3.2Near black in colour with a medium sized, quite dense dark grey/tan head that shows good persistence and nice lacing. A rather sudbued aroma shows light roasted malts, milk chocolate and a sort of dusty/woody (but not smoked) hint. Taste is brighter with a light roasted malts foundation, notes of coffee and milk chocolate and a fruity hint. Perhaps a hint of spiciness in the aftertaste. Quite sweet in the mouth with a balanced finish and aftertaste. Light to medium bodied with low to medium carbonation, smooth and easygoing. A gentle, sweetish, borderline irish interpretation of a stout, with not too much character to it.
3.3Tight tan creamy head stayed on a jet black body.
Malt, bitter & roasted aroma.
Medium bodied, creamy on the palate with sparkling clean back.
Bitter, nutty, lactose & malt tastes with a fruity tangy finish.
3.6Bottled 0,50L. Dark brow color, limpid dark aspect with modest nutty head of medium duration. Light toasted and roasted aroma with notes of burned wood, chocolate, sweet wood and cortex. Medium watery texture, soft carbonation with notes og chocolate, malty chocolate, roasted, bit dry final.
3.307Aug2019 Sweet dark malts, cacao, burnt toast, coffee. Hazy, very dark brown, small, frothy, off-white head. Light bitter. More dark malts, chocolate, cacao, coffee, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Alright. Cask at GBBF19.
3.8The aroma is not very strong, however the overall mouth feel is great.
4.5Dark with cream coloured loose head.
No discernible aroma.
Sweet, roast malt smokey, bar-b-que ribs in a glass, beautiful.
3.2Cask at GBBF 2019. Thin black color with lace. roasty chocolate nose, some licorice, orange. Thin, watery, with flavors of licorice, coffee, dark chocolate. A bit herbal too.
3.6It is a pretty good stout , has a dry bitter taste and aroma of malt and chocolate.
3.5500ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma is milk chocolate, roasted malt, very faint orange. Taste is medium sweet, nuts, chocolate, medium bitter finish.
3.8Perhaps 10 years after I drank it for the first time, I realise I never rated it here. This is a nice dry stout. I don't know whether they still have that specific category/genre/style here, but definitely a dry stout. Dark as a "King's" head, not as creamy as it claims to be, it has a lovely ("Murphy") sourness to the nose and flavour, with all the roasted malt bitterness and a touch of sweetness. Medium bodied, it certainly does a great job as a choice of dark beers. Drunk and rated on the same day that I saw the actual March of the Penguins at Edinburgh Zoo.
3.7bottiglia 50 cl, schiuma fine color cappuccino media persistenza, colore marrone intenso quasi nero, al naso è intensa caffè cacao liquirizia liquore, in bocca malto tostato caffè cioccolato fondente e infine tabacco, leggero acidula, carbonatazione piatta, corpo rotondo, amaro moderato. Nonostante i soli 4,9% vol risulta bella corposa e fruttata. Una birra ben fatta, molto buona. c. Beer-shop.it 19.04.19
Perfektion.
3.7500ml bottle at The Ark, Glasgow. Black with a tan head. Rich and roasty aroma. Nice palate, with a full body.
3.6Pours translucent mahogany, small beige head and nice lacing. Aroma of roasted barley and oats, with notes of cocoa. Tastes toasted barley, oats, cocoa and coffee. Medium bitter. Light bodied, soft carbonation, long finish. Typical traditional stout. Good!
3.4Bottle from lidl, Letterkenny. Appearance - watery black body, thin rocky head.

3.7Butelka 500ml. Czarny kolor. Piana średnia, beżowa, o drobnych pecherzach, opada dość szybko. W aromacie ciemna czekolada, kawa, palony słód,lekkie nuty laktozy. W smaku dość dużo kawowo-kakaowej goryczki, mleczna czekolada, delikatne nuty orzechów laskowych, dosc dobrze zaakcentowany palony słód,trochę węgla drzewnego. Wysycenie małe, całokształt dość wytrawny. Laktoza w głębi.
3.0Medicinal porter
3.7Fine stout, pours well from bottle -coffee and chocolate
3.2Appearance- Almost black colour with minimal brown foam.
Aromas- Malty with notes of roasted and chocolate notes but rather weak. Creamy notes and light touch of smoke. Fairly light aromas.
Palate- Medium body with slick texture leaving smooth finish.
Taste- Sweet of light chocolate and burned toast with creamy light bitter herbal and citrus notes.
Overall- Its okay, nice but fairly plane even on borderline of watery? Drinkable but not a fan.
3.2Bottle. Very dark, thin white head. Roasted aroma, but subtle. A bit thin. The taste is also a bit basic - some roast, very soft, a little charcoal. OK.
3.0Dark brown liquid, large head. Aroma of stout, chocolate. Light body, hardly any carbonation. Taste is sweet, bitter, weak.
4.0Cask at The Grog & Gruel in Fort William. Black, light beige head, sip rings. Roasty and savoury, loads of bitter chocolate and black bread crust, lovely overall sweetness paired with roasty bitterness. Comes across as slightly watery in the end but the overall fulness in flavour saves it. Superb brew.
4.3A smooth and creamy stout perfect for a light late night drink. To fully appreciate it ensure to decant it into a glass when serving. Cool in fridge and allow temperature to slightly rise is the best way to enjoy i find
3.3Robe noire, fine mousse blanche vite dissipée. Nez : malté, café, notes réglisse. Bouche : légère amertume, un poil sèche. Final sur cette amertume persistante. Manque un peu de corps.
3.7Pours black with a nice, big & dense head. Aroma is cocoa, roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, almonds, lemon. Taste is a bit watery but also creamy, coffee, hints of chocolate & vanilla.
3.3Bottle I found in the studio after a party (unopened) and put in the fridge. Nose is vanilla, chocolate, citrus. Palate is bitter chocolate, orange, malty bread, coriander. Not bad, but I have had lower percentage stouts that were way better.
3.5A good stout. Full black with a light brown head. Creamy, smooth, with flavors of chocolate, nuts, roasted malts.
It was a pleasant drink. If anithing maybe a little too light.
