Wiseacre Gotta Get Up to Get Down Coffee Milk Stout

Wiseacre Gotta Get Up to Get Down Coffee Milk Stout

Magical natural process beans from the Konga region of Ethiopia lead the way in this beautiful coffee stout. This rare variety of coffee leads to aromas of sweet roastiness and flavors of blueberry pie. Lactose, or milk sugar, is added along with oats for a silky medium body and a lush finish. Red Bull and vodka done the long way for old men; not teenagers.

3.8 12 oz. can. Great coffee bean aroma and flavor. Dark brown appearance with tan head. Smooth, creamy and robust like a good coffee. A tasty and unique twist on a milk stout.
3.9 On tap, Carolina Ale House, Knoxville, TN. Pitchy pour, dark bruisetone purply tan head. Coffee roast aroma. Chicory and soy nuts. Cubano coffee flavor - sweet, roasted, creamy. Slightly heavy body, creamy mouthfeel. Really good.
3.8 Pours transparent mahogany with a thick buff head. Aroma presents roast malt, coffee, chocolate and earthy tones. Flavor offers quality coffee, roast malt, chocolate, earthy and subtle nutty tones. Texture provides OK body and peppy fizz. Gotta get a crater of this.
3.9 Found on tap at City Tap in Atlanta. Appealing dark pour with medium white foam. Really enjoyable coffee notes. The milk flavor is more subtle but the coffee more than makes up for it. Great fall milk stout.
4.6 Coffee and beer perfection!
4.2 Very dark brown with tan head. Aroma is light roast malt. Taste is roast malt with a hint of coffee. Very nice.
3.8 Nice coffee and smooth roasted malt aroma and flavor. Full bodied base beer but still easily drinkable. Lots of flavor for 5% beer for sure. Smooth but not too sweet. Actually really nice milk stout.
3.9 3/9/19 - Little Rock, AR - Prospects Sports Bar - on tap. Coal black pour, thick mocha head, decent lacing. Enticing aroma, chocolate covered coffee bean candy, creosote, topsoil. Flavor of biscotti, organic coffee, bittersweet baker's chocolate. Thick, sticky mouthfeel. Very solid stout.
3.4 Can. A- Roasty, roasted vegetables, burnt coffee, mild cocoa. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Stale coffee, mild sweet cream, roasty, slightly earthy. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- Not bad but for a sweet stout it was rather roasty and earthy while only minor sweetness. Not exactly what I was looking for but overall a solid stout.
3.5 on tap at the source. probably their best beer by me and by consensus. peanut buttery up front. much carbonation to fill in thinness.
3.5 Very nice creamy coffee aroma. Dark brown with a tan head. Taste follows aroma somewhat but it’s a little weak. Short lived palate. Overall a good choice if you want a coffee stout without a massive ABV.
3.6 a coffee milk stout; black; roasted malt aroma with coffee and chocolate notes; smooth, creamy, roasted malt flavor with coffee and chocolate notes
3.4 12 oz can pours an opaque dark brown/black with small beige head that vanishes soon without leaving lacing. Aroma is mostly roasted coffee, with only a touch of milk - I couldn't detect blueberry pie or milk sugar.. Taste is bitter, especially at the finish. Body is at most medium - not stout enough for a stout - with slight carbonation and an almost creamy mouthfeel.
3.4 Can, thanks to Thomas. Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of coffee with caramel and toffee. Sweetish, but thin roasted flavour with a somewhat thin coffee.
3.5 Can @ Thomas_A Berlin Connect. Thanks! Pours Black with a small creamy head. Cold coffee, nuts and ashes. Cigarette buds. Short roasty finish.
4.2 9/6/18 At Ross’s with A & Sarah Drank straight from can. Aroma is powerful coffee with a hint of sweeter chocolatey notes. Taste is coffee dominant with milk and chocolate behind. Sweet with just a touch of coffee bitterness. Palate is medium to thin but feels somewhat heavy without too much carbonation. Aftertaste could literally pass for just heavily milked coffee. Overall an awesome stout! Definitely coffee forward with some nice milky sweetness great beer!
3.6 Pours black with one finger tan head. Aroma is coffee roast and some cocoa. Taste is chocolate, moving to cafe at lair and roast. Finish is coffee and roast. A good stout.

5.0 My favorite local draft stout. The draft is much better than the cans, no comparison.
3.9 Pours a dark brown, almost black, nicely contrasted beige head, small bubbles, cascading lace. Nose is fresh coffee grounds, cocao nibs. Velvety feel, earthy taste, cocoa, coffee, fudge, burnt pie crust. Easy and delicious. Lots of flavor for the abv.
