3.1 Hazy pale yellow colour, medium head that fades soon, good lace. Aroma has the usual suspects, but weak: coriander, cloves, some citrics. Biscuit, malt. Medium body, oily palate, normal carbonation. Taste follows the aroma. Not really the Best witt, just drinkable.
2.9 I figured this would be better than it was being from Belgium and all, but was pretty much a standard wheat. Had some fruity notes, with a little spice, but not as much as a Blue Moon or Shocktop. I actually think Blue Moon may be better than this. I would compare this more to a smoother Shocktop. Has a cloudy pale yellow appearance. Worth to try for the price, but that's about it. Maybe better from a bottle or on draft.
3.4 From a 33cl bottle, pours a hazy pale straw yellow, with a thin creamy white head, Aroma are subtle, of grains and hints of hops. Flavors are very pleasant, wheat, bread, biscuit, hint of citrus. A very well balanced white beer, very refreshing and easy to drink.
3.4 Bottle front Merchants. Aroma is wheat, fruity, yeast, some earthy hops, spice. Appearance is lighter golden, off white head, hazy. Taste is wheat, spice, yeast, slight banana, floral, other fruit, esters, dry. Mouthfeel is light body, light carbonation, dry wheat and spice aftertaste. Overall, I little plain, but still nice.
3.2 12 oz can poured, labeled as sunshine in a can. Sold! For some reason. A cloudy, darker yellow pour with a half inch of consistent foam head. Straw and wheat centered aroma. Minimal flavor of wheat, pale with a heavily watered down citrus. Flavor isn't absent, but Not is light, which actually leads this to be pretty refreshing as an overall. No lingering offensive flavors, but no flavors really linger at all. A straight to the point wheat ale, that barely suggests a Belgian style in my opinion. A fun try, definitely.
2.8 From Jul 2007 Purchased at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Colins for US$8.99 a 6 Pack. This pours from 11.2oz can(best by 21-09-08) a very pale straw-yellow with a nice large head of foam that shrinks to a solid layer and it has lots of lacing. The smell has a lemon nose that I noticed as soon as I popped the tab on the can. I also get whiffs of wheat and for the hot weather we've been having in Casper, it's pretty darned inviting. The taste on first sip and I get plenty of lemon zest that smacks me in the face and then there's a yeasty kick and some banana and some spice and I'm starting to enjoy it quite a bit but then(yet again), the flavours seem to drop off. Just before and through the finish, it becomes very bland and watery and and that ruins it for me. Too bad; Initially, I thought I'd really like this Wit.
3.0 I remember the first time I tried this beer on a bike ride from Utrecht to Antwerp with Bo in 2007. After a day of biking, arriving in Breda, this light, citrusy wit was pleasant. Its wateriness was wonderful. Have tried it since, often in cans. I nice beer to canoe with.
3.6 Good Witbier. Nice yellow-golden opaque color, wheaty and tender citrus flavors blend well. Thumps up.
3.2 From tap at The Trappe Door. Hazy pale yellow with a frothy white head. Lemon and spice aromas. Wheat, lemon, yeast, orange spice flavors. Zesty carbonation, light spicy finish.
3.6 on tap in Orlando. pours muddy golden with white head. aroma is of whether malt, citrus fruit and spices. taste is of wheat mslt, spices, citruses and some hebal hops. long dry finish. Good witte.
3.0 Typical cloudy yellow, no head. Taste has that lemony taste associated with wheat beer, with some vanilla and coriander. Sweeter than most wheat beers with a really thin watered down palate. Quite nice. Price Paid: £1.99 - 330ml can.
3.0 Can from Glug, Newcastle. Hazy, pale straw coloured with a thick white head of foam. It has a sweet gentle fruity lemon and vanilla flavour followed by a herbal and fruity finish. Not bad.
2.8 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer.
3.2 Cloudy, pale yellow beer, bid white head. Aromanis lemon and kombucha, malt. Taste is light banana, coriander. Palate is light, carbonation average.
3.1 Can. Cloudy light yellow with a small white head. Very light citrusy lemon aroma. The flavor follows the aroma. Watery. Thin.
4.0 B-. Pours a golden color with white head. Tastes kinda like a bud with more flavor
2.5 Platinaszőke, szűretlen, közepes, tömör, fehér habbal. Illata tipikus búzás, az átlagnál kicsit kevesebb banános aromával. Kicsit édeskés, száraz, búzás, enyhén citromos ízvilág. Könnyed test, közepes szénsavtartalom.
1.1 Troebel lichtgeel bier zonder schuim. Zeer teleurstellend witbier, weinig frisse smaak en waterig, onherkenbaar!
2.5 Bottle at home. Aroma is wheat, lemon, spicy notes. Flavour is moderate sweet. Body is light. Not very palatable, flat and sweetish, I’ve had much better Witbier.
3.4 Can. Pours hazy pale yellow. Aroma is banana, wheat, lemon zest, and faint clove. Flavor is clean with a dry wheat taste and soft Belgian yeast esters and a dry finish. Light/medium body.
3.0 Can at the Gnarly Barley. Tastes like sweet corn, wheat, light citrus, and grassy malt. Light/medium body and low carbonation.
3.2 Tap at Clubhouse BFD. Pours light yeww, slightly hazy. Small head. Aroma is wheat, clove, lemon, straw. Standard. Flavor is lemon, wheat, clove. Better than Aroma.
3.0 Starts off beautiful (with a cloudy pale yellow body & lush bone white cap) but soon shows itself to be timid (the spice & orange peel flavours are there but soon reveal themselves to be flaccid). Crushable, especially in this sizzling spring break sun, but kind of wimpy.
[notes 2006]
4.0 Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a slightly murky light yellow color with a large white head. The aroma is full of citrus and spice. The taste was citrus and was pretty heavily carbonated. A good witbier.
2.3 Citrus notes w/initial smell. Taste of citrus and floral, pretty clean and light finish, easy beer to drink. Good for a hot summer day.
