3.2 Für ein Pils, das aus Bayern kommt, ist es recht gut gelungen. Es hat keine Fehlaromen, aber ist einfach zu langweilig um lange in Erinnerung zu bleiben. Kann man trinken, muss man aber nicht.
3.2 Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, malty, modest spicy. Light wheaty hints. Finish well balanced, still fine spicy. Not bad.
2.2 oldas wosti della sergis pollentinas dertis westis usta frankonias unteras nosta costa
2.7 Bottle - pale yellow with thin white head - typical lager looking. Strong lemony lager aroma. Ok mouthfeel. Bit more taste than a normal lager but still thin. Doesn't really pull me to Pilsners.
3.3 A nice fresh smell of hay and grass. The frothy white head has a normal size and quite long duration, the body is golden. A light bitter taste, fresh, grassy. The body is light, creamy and dry with a normal carbonation.
3.5 Mini keg. Clean bubbly pils pour. Grassy hop aroma. Crisp flavor. Cracker with a light spicy hop. Good German pils.
3.0 Vom Fass an der Hotelbar. Helles Gelb, viel Schaum. Getreide und etwas nasses Geas. Antrunk vollmundig. Getreide, Hopfen. Etwas zu süss, aber kalt vom Fass ist das Nachts schon ok.
3.3 Bottle at Epcot. Clear golden with a white head. Grain aroma. Grain and lightly bitter taste. Crisp.
3.3 $2.49 bottle, Rio Hill Wine. Pours clear golden with a soft white head. Aroma is crisp grasses, typical pils aroma, pleasant at that. Flavor is green grass, glue, grains, bread. Crisp.
3.2 330mL bottle from Vintage Wines. Aromas of pils malt, grainy, white bread, grassy hops. Clear light gold with a mostly lasting white head. Dry, grainy, grassy. Light-medium bodied.
4.2 Brilliant light gold with a dense white head. Medium body with moderately high carbonation. Aroma: bready sweet malt, apple/pear esters, faint but very floral hops, delicate sulphur note, a bit soapy. Taste: notable but not quite assertive minerality, sweet doughy malt, floral hops, just enough bitterness to balance at first but builds nicely.
2.7 From bottle. Transfer of an earlier rating without text recorded, rating only.
3.1 A straw coloured pour with a fast fading white head; sweet herbal aroma; sweet grainy body with a light herbal bitterness; and a clean refreshing finish.
3.2 Vom Flasche from getranke Fritze, Wurzburg. Pale yella, dissipating head. Botter slightly skunky. Nice bitterness but more leaning towards honey, bready and grassy. Nice German pils with a long bitter palate. Enjoyable, but not particularly special.
2.9 (bottle) clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of herbal hops and earth, quite metallic, with some notes of pale malts, banana peel and straw. flavour is mostly straw and pale malts, slightly earthy, with a touch of dandelions and a light-bitter finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.
2.5 14.12.2016 - thin cleared pilsner with no special taste and aroma. Thin malt just some bittering hops.
3.4 From a 12 oz bottle into a Rodenbach Grand Reserve glass. Pours gold with head and lace. Aroma of grains, straw, pale malt. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of rich grains, pale malt, straw hops, minerals, wheat, slight herbal bitterness. Overall full bodied with somewhat rich and bitter finish.
3.3 Bottle at home, Golden clear beer, small head. Aroma is grain, malt. Taste is the same, sweet. average pilsener, could be better.
3.2 Bottle. Pours clear light golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast, with notes of malt and touches of hops. Sweetish, estery and malty flavour with bitter notes of hops. Estery and malty aftertaste. Medium to high carbonation and good mouthfeel. Reasonable for the style and quite refreshing but not top notch.
2.8 Bottle->footed pilsner. Lite gold with small frothy white head. Usual pilsner hops and grains, with some lemon and cracker. Not too corny. Decent for what it is.
3.1 Bottle from a small beer orientated shop which I happened to walk passed in Frankfurt en route from Naiv to my hotel. Pale golden in colour win a small white head. Aroma of sweet corn, lightly malted, light hop. Medium sweetness, no detectable bitterness. Light/medium body, sticky texture, quite light carbonation. Finish is smooth with a light caramel sweetness. A bette than average Pilsner.
2.6 Vom Fass in Würzburg, schönes Hopfenatoma in der Nase, schwacher Malzkörper, leicht bitter im Geschmack, im Abtrunk kaum anhaltend
3.2 50 cl bottle at Wurzburg. Golden colour. Medium white head. Good retention. Good lacing. Malty , hay, aroma. Spruce hops and malt flavour. Medium bitter and medium to light sweetness. Medium carbo. Long bitter finish
3.0 Tap at brewery. Clear yellow, regular aroma. Crisp taste, quite fresh. Barley notes, sparkling. (Würzburg 201602)
4.1 On tap from 5L mini keg pours crystal clear gold with 2 finger head. Nose is crisp corn, soft grain, touch of grassyness. Taste is crisp, snappy, nice balanced medium bitterness, corn, grain, potato, wheat bread, crust. Finishes with nice lingering balanced bitterness, all the earthy grain, touches of light grassyness and faintest hints of citrus you want from a pilsner while being overall balanced, refreshing, and superbly drinkable.
3.4 Good , classic pilsner. Golden color . Surprisingly weak head as for German beer. Malt and grass in aroma. Taste follows the aroma with refreshing, hoppy bitterness.
3.2 500ml Flasche. Klar und golden. Mittelgrosse, poröse Schaumkrone. Sehr mildes Pils. Erfrischend. Runder Ausklang.
3.5 Bottle best by June 2016, pours clear gold with a thin white head. Hoppy aroma is lemon, herbs, mineral water, faint soap, with quiet Pilsner malt expressed as dried crackers and toasted grain. Light bodied, lightly sweet to off-dry, moderately bitter, soft malt texture, fluffy effervescence, cleanly fermented with solid finishing bitterness and a lingering herbal-pepper-thyme quality. Lemon-y and oily and juicy and quite bitter, it’s certainly Franconian in character. The noble hop aroma and finish quality are quite good, there’s no defects at all, flavor balance is enjoyable, I just wish the aroma had more oomph.
2.9 330 ml bottle. Pours a light golden color with a moderate frothy white head. Nose is mostly light grain with a touch of noble hops. Flavor mirrors the nose. Some metallic spicy hops in finish. Wurzburger brews some outstanding beers including their wonderful Christmas Festbier, Julius Echter Weissbiers and Sympator Doppelbock. This pales in comparison.
4.3 BBD 2/16. Pours a clear golden. World class head volume, retention and lacing. Outstanding light pilsner nose. A touch of noble hops and hints of lemon over a subtle grainy biscuit. Light medium body with a smooth texture. Superb carbonation with a nice burst of effervescence in the middle a finely bubbled rush in the finish. The flavor profile is almost world class. It is moderate in intensity, slightly complex and perfectly balanced. It begins with a slight noble hop flavor, more herbal than spicy, that flows into a mild subdued bitterness. The middle allows a light grainy biscuit to achieve balance. As the finish approaches, lemon notes are evident. The finish is crisp.
