4.0 Had the privilege in trying this in my tour of the wychwood brewery. Fantastic chocolate but dark amber ale strength in taste. A treat almost as desert.
3.1 Bottle. Reddish amber withe a white head. Fruity aroma with apples, pears, some cherries, light bread and spices. Lightish bodied, perhaps slightly fizzier than I wanted. Modest sweetness gives way to quite firm bitterness. There's a touch of toast as well as fruit. Not bad.
3.1 500 ml bottle into shaker. From ALDI, Riverwood. Nose a bit skunky and vegetal at first but disappears to a more acceptable aroma of sweet malt and grass. Nice copper colour with a thin white head. A few tiny bubbles. Some lacing. A little effervescence followed by some dark caramel malt then finishing with smoky bitterness. Quite tasty, well balanced. I've certainly had a lot worse bitters.
3.2 A good drink but not exceptional. Ruby read with a middle-size head, not persistent. Aroma of hops, herbs and citrus. The taste follow the smell but it adds a hue of roasted malts and caramel.
3.0 Malt, caramel, a bit bready in aroma. Amber, clear with small white head. Low hop flavor, malty, dry finish. Medium body, low carbonation.
2.7 0.5l bottle. Pours in red coppercolour with mefium size white head. Light aroma of hops. Mefium sweetness, low bitterness, no sourness. Light body, low carbonization, average lasting light bitterness ending.
3.8 en fin øl, der har en god smag af malt. Der er en skarphed af humle eftersmagen, så den er rigtig god som nydeøl.
3.6 Pours a clear mahogany red with a beige head. Nose is citrus, nutty and roasted malts. Taste is malty caramel, nutty, licorice, lemon and orange peel. Mild bitterness with a creamy smooth mouth feel. One of the better Wychwood beers.
3.1 Red fruit aroma not that noticeable. Light roasted malt And red fruit taste. Ok but bit non descript
3.0 500 ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear copper colour with modest-sized off-white head. Aroma is dry and toasty with some caramel and light herbal character. Flavour has a toasty, almost burnt graininess with some caramel, light dried fruit and drying herbalness. Body on the lighter side of medium. Ok.
2.9 Got this one part of the 4-pack Christmas special at LCBO. Not sure if it is the type of beer (ESB) or this beer itself, but disappointing. No aroma, no taste (mainly nothing special to it).
3.0 Bottle. Dark ruby beer. Pours with a thick head. Fresh hop aroma. Taste of malt , mild hops. Sweetish.
3.2 Bottle - Woody and caramel with some dark malts. Clear copper with a small white head. Caramel and woody notes with a nice bitterness. Decent.
2.3 Aroma is sweet. Flavour slightly hoppy and sweet but nothing great
4.1 Unexpectedly brilliant dark Red beer. Flavourful, please type malt and much more hoppy than expected. Dark reddish brown, nice head, lovely aroma.
3.4 Beer is ok.
3.4 Another nice beer from this great brewery.
3.6 Cerveza muy correcta, densa en cuerpo, sin muchos matices ni un sabor prominente.
3.8 Bottle. Pours amber with small off white head. Pleasant biscuit and hop aromas. Strong flavours of malt and hops. Good bitter finish. Very drinkable.
3.3 Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 11A). Bottle 50 cl - Batch A6307 (BBF 03.DEC.17). AROMA: low malt aroma with toasty and biscuity notes. light diacetyl background and slight herbaceous (almost dried grass) hop presence. APPEARANCE: amber color and clear. medium beige head with good retention. TASTE: medium-low malt flavor with toasty flavor. low hop flavor with a resiny character. faint fruitiness (dried grapes). faint diacetyl background. medium bitterness with a dry and slightly bitter finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an OK ordinary-type bitter.
3.5 500ml. bottle. Clear copper, head with good retention and lacing. Smells like caramel, honey, malts. Sweet beginning, then caramel, bread and licorice. A bit sour aftertaste.
3.4 4.7% alk. Kad se usporedi sa onim Lidlovim bitterima, ova je vrhunska. Lijep miris, ugodna gorčina i dobar okus. Jedna jednostavna ali lijepo izbalasnirana i pitka piva.
4.0 Ottimo colore ma il gusto non mi appaga. Buona per carità ma troppo amara è il finale troppo deciso.
3.1 50 cl. bottle. A clear amber coloured beer with a white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, hoos, fruit, caramel and with a bitter finish.
2.8 sweet malty, forest fruit aroma, amber, white foam, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, fruity caramel sweetness at the start, then bitterness came, dry, bitter fruity finish.
2.9 Nice looking dark ruby beer. Aroma: malt, caramel, fruits and nuts. Classic non-explosive flavor. Slightly bitter tart finish
3.1 BBE 15 sep 17. Punertavan ruskea väri, semirunkoinen tuoksu. Makea täyteläinen tuntuma, maakellaria, hyvää ennakkoluuloista huolimatta.
3.1 Dark ruby colored beer with medium, white head and a bit of lacing. Some faint aroma of flowers Medium bitterness, low sweetness. Light to medium body, low carbonation.
3.5 Dark amber bit reddish with medium off white head. Sweet - sour fruity aroma. Moderate bitterness with some sourness, slightly dusty.
2.8 Bottle, 500 ml, from Svijet Piva. Pours clear amber with short lasting medium off-white head. Malty, caramel, bit spicy, some fruit. Bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Bit watery.
