2.6 12 oz single bottle from Biggie Wine & Liquor into a pint glass. Very pale and clear appearance, basically looks like water, minimal head. Aroma of pear, apricots, apples and jolly ranchers. Similar flavor, fruity and moderately sweet. Light bodied and easy to drink with a sweet finish. It’s OK, not really that dry though.
2.6 12 ounce bottle. Pours a light golden yellow with a thin white head. Taste is of pear and apple. Similar aroma. Has a decent wet body with a dry finish. Easy to drink and done well.
2.4 "this kind of thing isn’t bad when you’re not really in the mood for a beer, cuz it definitely won’t satisfy a beer craving. that said, it’s a little too thin, but otherwise refreshing alternative...slightly better than most apple or berry ciders."
0.8 Tremendously forgettable pair does not really make a great cider I would avoid in the future
3.2 Sampled at ABR 2014. Very pale, water-like pour. Small white head. Good pear smell and taste - I rather enjoyed this.
2.7 On tap at Town Hall. Pours a pale yellow with no carbonation or head. Aroma has light fruits and pears. Taste is sweetly fruity - light and refreshing - mostly "pear"y. Never got cloying, more crisp and fruity. Nice on a summer day, and it was hot!
2.0 Tap, clear pour, no head, aroma of pear, nose of pear, straightforward and okay, nothing to brag about.
2.6 Bottle from Rite-Aid: Aroma is extremely fruity with the scents of pear and green apple chips. Appeared a clear bubbly liquid that had a tiny tinting color of champagne. The drink is fruity with artificial pear flavors but could also pass as the flavor of the juice from a can of fruit cocktail. Didn’t taste as good as some of the other mass-marketed ciders showing up everywhere.
2.6 Damned by its normalcy. Tastes clear, looks clear, very refreshing...but for the price it just doesn’t bring much character to the table. Takes no risks. Clean pear taste, cute bottles, shows over. It’s definitely an enjoyable product, but it lacks distinction.
3.3 12oz bottle - pours a faint yellow color. Fresh pear aroma . Taste is light crisp fruit , mild tart finish . Nice .
3.2 Draft at HalfCut. Pours a clear champagne color, pale, with visible carbonation bubbles but no head. Notes of pears, grapes, ginger, and wildflower. Light-bodied, with a sweet, somewhat tart, tangy mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Dry finish. The first few sips were really nice but it doesn’t hold up that well as it warms. Still, better than rated.
3.0 Clear yellow pour. Aroma of soapy apples. Tastes semi-sweet. Distinctly pear. Semi-dry. Serious perfume flavor. I’d drink it.
3.2 Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours clear yellow with a thin white head and a pear aroma. There is a sweet and sour fruit flavor with a tart finish.
4.5 This is a great dry pear cider- aroma is not overpowering and not artificial. The finish was dry and crisp with a great overall mouthfeel
2.5 First and only perry to date. Bottle->shaker. Light gold with no head. Bright and sour pear and apples. Sweet. Light but flat. eh.
2.8 Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale yellow with no head. Aroma is slight pear with dry champagne-like notes. Taste is light tart. Granny Smith apples with some unripe pear. Light bodied with a thin yet slightly sticky texture. Soft, almost flat carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Nothing I would seek out but enjoyable nonetheless.
3.2 ~Sweet and tart pear candy like aroma. ~Poours brilliantly clear like water with a bit of gold in it. No head. ~Sweet soda pear/apple like flavor with underlying tartness that lingers into the finish. ~Light bodied, low to medium CO2. Pleasant pear tart finish. Dry. ~Very refreshing. A bit sweet would probably only drink two of these before moving onto something else. Will probably buy again.
2.4 On tap, BJ’s Tallahassee. Very light, greenish-tinged perry, no head. Muted, earthy fruit aroma. Very light body, not overly carbonated. Generally clean, a little tanginess here and there and in the finish. Boring.
3.6 Had on draft. Pear, tart, light colored, dry, apple, looked like carbonated water. Easy going down and refreshing.
3.3 Tap @ Scrumpy’s Fort Collins. Pours a very light yellow, clear appearance with little head. Sweet canned pear juice, fairly sweet, just a bit tart aroma. Actually quite tart, apple jolly rancher, tangy pear flavor. Easy to pound.
2.0 Bottles from Capone’s and Frank Smith’s. Pours clear chardonnay colored. Nose is perfumy Bartlett pear. Tastes of tart apple, Bartlett pear. Fruity finish.
1.6 Light yellow color with no head just lots of bubbles. Aroma of cut pears or apples, nothing outstanding its just there, and not much at all. Its sweet not a lot of flavor, again apple or pear I just cant tell. Its funny calling this a “hard” cider since everything about it is so weak. I see no reason to buy this.
2.8 Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a transparent light (almost clear) gold with light carbonation. Smells and tastes of pear with a nice, lively mouthfeel. I like this one better than their Dry Apple Cider.
2.2 Pours very light. Aroma is sweet sugar, with a pear flavor tha follows. Light drinking, but a bit watered down. Slightly flat. Not bad, but nothing special.
1.9 My first Perry is a dud of epic proportions. Weak and watery. Nearly the same color as water. A bottle of Duvel has far better pear notes without even using pears. I’ve drank soda pop that had more gusto than this Perry. Even though this was a random pick in a mixed sixer, I still feel like I deserve a free bowl of soup to get my money’s worth. Oh wait..this swill is made in Canada? No surprise there! The only reason I’m not drain pouring this kiddie drink is because it’s been a long time since I had a can of Sprite.
2.7 Pours water-clear with thin white ring and infsed bubbles. Scent is subtle...pear and sugar.. Very sweet taste, pear and some green apple. Tasty, but incredibly sweet.
2.0 Almost clear out of the bottle with no head. There were large bubbles that formed on the side of my glass, but that just made it look a little sad. Big sweet sugary nose with pears in it. This is sweet, sweet, sweet. Make your teeth hurt sweet. It is like drinking a pixie stick. Flavors of pear and green apple and grape juice. If you like sweet, here you go....
2.9 Sample at Buckeye Beer Engine on 9/11/12. Clear, very light yellow, almost no color with no head. Aroma of apple, pear and sweet white wine. Flavor is pear and apple juice with a spritz of seltzer.
2.9 bottle - Pours clear with no head and an obvious pear aroma. The pear taste is sweet and it’s light bodied with a mildly dry finish. Decent.
2.7 Refrigerated bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours clear (the clearest I have seen) with very small white head. A little lacing, thin body, no carbonation, and nice pear aroma. Taste is light pear and cane sugar. A little too simple.
