IPAs were originally brewed to survive the epic sea voyages from England to India. Ours is no different. Hailing from a firm malt background and loaded through and through with hops, this beer will surely survive the journey from your fridge to your couch.

3.7Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, pine and grapefruit. Flavour is light moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
2.5Tap at Dandelion, Philadelphia. Colour is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Some fruits, some hops and some malts. Pretty weak IPA.
3.4Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2010, Parsons Green, London in July 2010 - Cloudy Orangy Briown in colour. Very hoppy; resinous piney hops. Very Fruity; grapefruit and tropical fruit. Tasty. Tangy. Hoppy citrus fruity throughout. Very drinkable. (2010-07)
3.4Bottle. Toasted aroma of hop, caramel, resin and malt. Lots of bitterness and toasted hop in the flavor. Malt backbone. Solid choice for a local IPA.
3.6Very well made. Pours yellow/orange with an off white head. Aroma is earthy hops with notes of caramel. Very smooth, with a sweet caramel finish.
3.6Bottle from dberger624 ... Thanks Dan. Pours clear orange with a foamy white head... Piney hops and clean pale malt.. drinkability is through the roof... Very nice standard IPA.
3.3Bottle (May 05, 2016 bottling). Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, lemon oil). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Despite being only 4 weeks old, it’s surprisingly mild aromatically...soft herbal-lemony hops struggle to escape the glass and there’s really nothing else going on. It’s certainly not unpleasant, but it is kind of dull. Well balanced in the mouth, though, and clean, so it’s easy to enjoy quaffing it. Nothing special, but a little better than average at least.
3.5On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange gold with medium creamy off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is tropical fruit and floral. Thin mouth, similar flavors to nose, light bitter resin finish, good.
3.0Light amber, golden brown. Piney hops. Little head. Malty. Not the brew I was hoping to enjoy.
2.9It’s a nice style English Ale which is a tamed down version of the Jefferson Ale, after drinking both I much prefer an American IPA, but at the discounted price I got for a case I’d do it again. My preference in this category is Evolution # 3, not quite as potent as this, but more to my liking. It’s a very nice beer but interpret for yourself which style you really go for.
3.4Bottle from Perfect Pour. Nice amber body with medium head. Nose is hoppy and citrus. Taste is caramel, malts and wheat. Creamy texture. Citrus in the finish.
3.4bottle shared with hakes drive at club w.. clear orangish pour wih thin white head... diffrent taste, not the average ipa, but not bad
2.9Light citrusy, piny hop aroma. Pours a light copper, clear, with a small but lasting white head. Flavor is mostly bitterness, but not too intense. Not much hop flavor. Thin body. Kind of bland.
3.4A clear golden ipa with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with good resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth. In mouth, crisp biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light grapefruit notes, light resinous character, nice. On tap at Jack Duggan, Terminal A, PHL.
3.4Back Log. Sample from Neighbors cooler. Nice notes of caramel malts, some honey, pine and peel. Not bad for an IPA, just nothing new.
4.6Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear pale orange with a small white head. The aroma is a really good blend of hops and citrus. The flavor is a knockout. Big hop flavor with a nice citrus blend. Really good IPA.
3.5NIce aroma of some citrus, and some hops. Orange color, with a thick tan head that lingers. Smooth sweetness up front. Malt is rich, fresh...notes of caramel. Bitterness infuses quickly. Nice and even, notes of pine. Bitterness intensifies through finish. Well balanced. Medium mouth feel and finish calls you back for more. Nice beer.
3.8On tap at brewery. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is citrus with pine resin. Flavor is underlying caramel malt with citrus, grapefruit, and finishing with pine resin hoppy bitterness. Really nice IPA.
4.8My absolute favorite IPA. Each bottle is a pleasure trip and adventure in taste. Hop accent is marvelous . Man is this addicting
3.2Easy to drink but toward the less hoppy end of the IPA spectrum. Hangs on the palate nicely. I would consider getting it again.
3.0Amber moderate head. Nose is pretty malty, sweet. Taste is on the sweet side, balanced malts and hops, some citrus, a bit bitter on the finish. It's fine
3.5Bottle on 3/19/15. Pours a clear orangish-copper with a frothy white head. Nose is piney, citrus, some malt sweetness, metal. Taste is pine, citrus, grass, some malt, fruity, leaves with grass/resin for a while. Not super amazing but this is a go to IPA for me.
3.5Poured from 12 oz. bottle.
Clear, bright coppery orange with a 2-finger pele khaki head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of pine, citrus and sweet caramel.
Taste of pine resin, citrus, caramel and floral hops in a nice balance.
Medium body and medium carbonation.
3.3Bottle poured into half-pint imperial glass. Very fruity IPA with a slightly ambiguous malt balance. Better than I had expected. Nice lacing.
3.9on tap at City Mechanics in Philadelphia; clear, amber color; citrusy hop aroma; a good, citrusy hoppy IPA; great citrusy hop flavor on a light bready malt base
3.5Draft at Issac Newton’s, Newtown, PA. The color is a clear gold with a orange hue. Head was small and didn’t last. Aroma leads me to believe it is a standard American IPA: orange and tropical fruit with moderate level for bread like malt character. The flavor has a bit more depth. Malts lean on the English side with a light earthy note. Hops are a blend of citrus upfront followed by a floral and mild pine hiding in the finish. Overall for me it is an extremely drinkabl, well made IPA that was easy to kill a pint. Bitterness is there with a dryness but not to aggressive. Classic in every sense.
3.7Pours amber reddish orange with a nice one finger off white head. Aroma is of pine, caramel, floral hops, sweet malts, toffee, and light citrus. Taste is similar to the aroma wit a bit more pine and citrus but still has a big malt backbone with caramel, sweet malts, bready malts, and maybe even some toffee. Has a medium body with a pretty creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty nice east coast style ale that is pretty malty but still has a nice hop bite to it.
1.8Very little to no aroma. Not much taste in your mouth or going down but definitely a nice hoppy dry after taste.
4.1Woody, floral hop aroma with a high level of fruity esters and slight caramel. Appearance is gold with a white head with average retention. Hop flavor is medium with floral qualities. Malt flavor is bready with caramel notes. No diacetyl. Bitterness dries the beer out with a smooth bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. Overall, it's a well made example of an English ipa.
3.0Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a fairly hazy dark red color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light speckled lacing clinging here and there around the glass.
The smell had a bittersweet citrus to piney hops with a nice balance of caramel malts here and there.
The taste was the blend of the previously mentioned flavors but actually showed a weaker strength than I expected.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed somewhat subdued and not as sharp as I expected for an AIPA.
Overall, this was not a bad beer. If it would’ve showed a bit more strength in the nose and flavor this one has a lot of potential to be a great one of its style but to me, it’s just an okay kind of beer.
