Yazoo Pale Ale

Yazoo Pale Ale

A new version of an American classic.
Our Yazoo Pale Ale bursts with spicy, citrusy hop aroma and flavor, coming from the newly discovered Amarillo hop. The wonderful hop aroma is balanced nicely with a toasty malt body, ending with a cleansing hop finish. Made with English Pale, Munich, Vienna, and Crystal malts, and generously hopped with Amarillo, Perle, and Cascade hops. Fermented with our English ale yeast.

3.2 Aroma is floral and hoppy with rich malts. Flavor is sweet with very mild bitterness. Light notes of honey.
4.4 Poured from the tap into a pint glass at the Grainary in Mt. Pleasant, SC. The appearance is a light copper color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is of mild bread and some very faint hops. The taste is mild malts. A very enjoyable beer.
3.1 Draft. Pours beautiful. The taste is kinda lacking. Not much there what is there is some grapefruit and piney hops.
3.1 Pours a clear golden orange on tap with bubbly off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of mild pale malts and and grassy hop notes. Taste is more hoppy than the nose with a hint of citrus too. Moderate bitterness, clean and simple, old school pale.
2.6 Light amber color with a yellowish-white head. Decent lace. Lemon curd scents. Sweet start, with toasted malt, and orange candy flavors. Does not quite work for me. Very sharp citrus in the finish and into the linger. The longer I set with this one the less I like it, best to drink quickly. 4/13
3.2 Some bitterness, some malt. Ok but not particularly stunning like young Megan Fox. Pours amber with ok head and lacing. Tap at music venue in Nashville.
2.7 Pretty weak for an APA, malt-forward and overly sweet with a mild citric hop presence mostly asserting itself on the long bitter finish. Toasted malts add a nice heaviness to the middle, but the unfortunate sweetness overpowers any hoppy fun and results in a dull, English-leaning pale.
3.4 On Tap at Yazoo Brewpub, Nashville, TN, 5.5.16. Clear dark amber. Light fruity aroma, a little toast and then more malt. Mild hoppy bitterness in the mouth but also plenty of malt. Mildly bitter, hoppy finish, medium body.
3.6 355ml Bottle as a gift from Nashville: A nice beer overall, some nice sweetness opened things up & plenty caramel malts followed before some some nice bread malts & a moderate bitterness coupled with some toasted flavours brought in the middle. It could have been a touch stronger but the balance was a good one & it was easy to drink too. Not one to specifically hunt out for but it’s definitely well worth trying if you happen across it at any point.
3.1 Pours Amber copper hue, small head that leaves a nice lacing trail. Bose is malt forward. Taste begins malty and quickly turns to lemons. Mild bitterness. Body is light. Wierd.
4.0 On tap in the hip Nashville 12 South district. I really think this beer should be rating higher, it’s a near-perfect flagship American Pale Ale. WAY better than average. Malty, a bit caramelly, but some nice bready and biscuity notes balanced by a strong dose of predictable grapefruity hops plus lemongrass, strawberry, cantalope melon, mango, tropical fruit salad. I really like this Amarillo & Cascade combo. Light-medium body, strong carbonation, awesome malty and hoppy aftertastes. Delicious.
3.5 12 oz bottle at the Bass pro Pyramid in Memphis. The ale poured a clear Amber color with an off white frothy head. Nice looking ale. The aroma of floral hops and pale malts greets you. The very balanced ale with nice hop bitterness. The ale has a medium body with average carbonation. Nice dry finish.
3.2 Bottle at Gaylord, Nashville, 10th July 16. Pours darker amber. Aroma is light floral. Taste is slightly full, bitter. It’s OK
3.7 Aroma: fresh and hoppy; Appearance: dark amber, clear pour; Taste: balanced flavor; very enjoyable; Light-medium body with lightly bitter finish; would buy again.
3.1 Draft at Peg Leg Porker, Nashville. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma is citrus, malt and spice. Taste is caramel malt, citrus, bread, and spice. Paired well with pulled pork. Decent.
2.9 Copper color and light hoppy smell. A bit hoppy with a bit of a burn. Actually taste alot better after I ate a brownie.
3.4 Bottle. Copper-gold in color with a really nice head. Actually a really nice balanced ale. Aroma has hints of roasted grains interlaced with citrus. Taste is a malty sweet upfront, balanced in the middle with a nice, fresh citrus fruit finish.
3.7 12 oz bottle from Tenn. with a bottled on stamp of 23 June 2015. Clear, amber body even though there was a small amount of sediment clinging to the bottom of the bottle. The off-white head is moderately durable and leaves patterned, sticky lacing. Aroma: citrus and spicy hops with some caramel and bready notes. Flavor: moderately strong with a bit more spicy and fruity hop flavors than medium and light toasted grains. Good balance. Mildly bitter overall. Feel: silky medium+ body with soft, medium-high carbonation. Crisp, semi-dry finish. O: refreshing and distinctive pale ale. Recommended.
2.7 Pours golden with tan fluffy.head. aroma is grassyx light on citrus, caramel. Pretty bland. Flavor caramel with citrus at rear, nothing complex. Overall run of the mill nothing great that stands out
3.1 Flaska @ Hutton Hotel, Nashville, Tn. Klar bärnstensfärgad öl med ett smutsvitt skum. Dofter av citrus, malt och blomster. Samma återkommer i smaken tillsammans med en lättare ton av tall. Lätt oljig munkänsla.
2.8 Nice amber/copper color; Medium slight creamy body; Aroma of caramel malt, floral, & citrus; Flavor of malt/biscuit, caramel, some hops, and citrus; Fairly bland - just decent.
3.1 Toasty, malty, and citrus pale ale. The English ale yeast and malts balance out the hops so some of the character of Amarillo hops is masked. However this is a taste and more east-coast or English style pale ale. There is a nice sweet floral and spice finish.
2.4 Meh. Dark amber pour is nice. Lots of lacing on the glass. Flavor is Dullsville 2015. Little aroma. On tap @ Baileys, Nashville, Tennessee.
2.0 Dry, thin, bitter finish. I’ve had Amarillo, and I don’t get it here. not much character to this beer. the English ale yeast i do detect. no head, no nothing. not impressed.
3.0 Citrusy aromas, slight caramel. Orange-gold with a fairly lasting white head. Clean, citrusy, bitter, grainy. Light-medium bodied.
3.0 Solid clean but boring pale. Slight pine malts over a little too sweet body.
3.9 Draft at flying saucer. From notes. Caramel malt balances out the citrus and pine hops. Very good.
3.2 A nice solid pale ale. Malt sweet aroma with caramel and some citrus. The flavor has the malt up front with the citrus to balance. Dry and refreshing.
3.3 bottle. Golden with one finger head. Like the IPA, this is solid, but fairly unimaginative. Well made, but nothing unique at all.
3.2 12 ounce bottle thanks to John. February bottling. Malty and slightly sweet pale. Richer in color than expected. Not really getting the dominant Amarillo here.
