3.2 Can. Cloudy dark gold/orange feat. a lovely white head. Aroma of lemons and bergamot. Taste follows aroma plus malts and tea leaves. Pretty bitter. Low carbonation. Very balanced. I’m not much of a tea drinker but I really enjoyed this one. Believe me, what you see is what you get.
4.0 Yeastie Boys Gunnamatta Earl Grey IPA 6.5%. Cloudy amber, sweet citrus and bergamot aroma, barley malt, Earl Grey Tea, ginger, orange zest. Lovely flavoured IPA from Wellington, New Zealand 🇳🇿
3.4 Pours hazy golden with a good head that sticks around. Nothing much on the nose. In the mouth a crisp sweetness, almost like a lolly for adults, dissolves into bergamot, there’s the Earl that was promised. Ends in a lingering but not unpleasant bitterness.
3.7 Can, brewed under licence by West Berkshire Brewery. Cloudy dark orange, decent white head and retention. Some lacing. Floral aroma with some citrus zesty notes coming through almost like lemonade. Taste is floral tea but not overdone, with orange rind, malts. Finish is a moderate bitterness combining with the zingy citrus. Moderate body and carbonation work well. I don't drink tea but I liked this, its unusual but quite well balanced.
3.9 Very subtle, persistent floral notes, low bitterness, easy drinking - maybe something caramel.
4.3 One of my favourite beers. Slight herbal aroma. Amber in colour, pleasant/mellow mouth feel. Taste; balanced - not overly hoppy, hit of sweetness and notes of tea/herbs to set the sweetness off. I could drink this all day. Make some noise for the Yeasty Boys!
3.8 Can 33cl. @home poured into a shaker. Brewed & canned by West Berkshire Brewery, Yattendon. Clear medium amber coloure, small frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Fruity aroma, pale malt, peach, tea leaves, bergamot, light ginger, citrus hops. Mild taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, tea leaves, bergamot, light ginger, retronasal tea, ginger and aniseed. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, spicy/herbal notes, orange peel, paper, very nice.
2.9 Quite a lot going on in terms of aromas - some citrus, some herbs, plenty of other notes too. Flavours match the aromas and the overall feel is of a nice balanced beer. One to savour.
3.0 Pleasant and a little strange
3.5 Smells like a gose. Interesting taste. Hoppy but not overwhelming. Balanced.
3.5 Aroma has the bergamot. Pours hazy golden with white lace top. Taste is medium sweet to bitter but with the Earl Grey doing its spicy sweet thing all the while. Palate is medium bodied clammy feel soft to average carbonation and a spice finish as the tea mashes. Like having a beer with a maiden aunt. 22/07/20 second sipping confirms my initial thoughts although it reminds me that my maiden aunt was more likely to be drinking Courvoisier brandy.
3.5 Keg at BrewDog Liverpool in 2016. Lightly hazy mid golden. Malty aroma, with orange peel and straw. Medium bitter flavour with orangey notes.
4.1 23/V/19 - 33cl can from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ UGent Happy Hour, BB: n/a - (2019-777) Clear light orange beer, big fizzy irregular white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of bergamot oranges, some orange peel, bit earthy, citrus. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: little sweet, some caramel malts, lots of earl grey tea, soft citrus notes, nice bitterness. Aftertaste: more bergamot orange, orange peel, citrus, bitter, bit malty, grains and some cow fodder.
5.0 Really has a strong and quality taste of earl grey.
3.9 un prodotto molto più equilibrato di quanto si possa pensare. schiuma davvero fine e persistente per lo stile, note maltate importanti di miele e cereale bruciato che resistono alla luppolatura. Earlgrey più in retrogusto che ala beva.
1.9 Gunnamatta Skaal , Citrus, grapefruit, white head, sight haze but Earl Grey did not work for me
3.7 Canned 330ml. -from Roybeer Milano. Orange/golden coloured, medium sized white head, floral nose with whiff of oranges. Moderate malty, citrusy, light floral and oranges with touch of earl grey. Bitter finish and hoppy aftertaste. Interesting and pleasant.
3.4 On tap at ‘Cause beer loves food, Amsterdam. Pours golden color, white head. Aroma of black tee, citrusy, herbal. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter, black tee, citrusy hops, herbal finish.
3.2 330ml can. Pours unclear, glowing honey gold with small mottled white cap. Aroma is earl grey with bergamot prominent. Taste is light citrus hops, heavy on the malt, bergamot, fairly bitter to finish, lingering earl grey taste. Ok.
1.7 Aroma: Medium-high spicy, bergemot. Appearance: Hazy, light-red body, Large, off-white head. Small to fine bubbles. Fair retention. Flavour: Medium-high bergemot. Medium bitterness. Medium-light aspirin. Dry finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation, smooth. Overall: The beer's flavour ends fast and clean, with no lingering anything. Quite disappointing. The IPA is nowhere to be found. No off flavours/aromas 330 ml can, poured. Spice: Earl gray 21A: American IPA
3.4 Draught at Skaal. Hazy golden coloured with a small white head. Fruity aroma of oranges, flowers and citrus. Fruity flavour of orange peel, tea and hops with notes of flowers. Hoppy finish.
3.1 Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, oranges, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, oranges, spices, and malt, leading to a dry spicy finish.
3.5 Intense floral nose with orange blossom. Medium malty flavour with enough bitterness to balance the floral taste
3.7 330ml can. Wow. I am not disappointed by this one! I love earl grey tea -and this one delivers. Lovely hazy dark amber with a film one-finger white head. Aroma is lovely and floral; earl grey, mixed with tangerine and grapefruit. The taste hits you with the earl grey up front and then the sweetness and citrussy hops but then returns to this bitter- floral- earl grey complexity. Fantastic brew!
3.1 Can from fridge, shared at home from a white wine glass. Amber with no head. Floral perfumed soapy smell. Grapefruit, orange bitters/Orangina and earl grey tailing off to a bitter finish. Lively and interesting, earl grey flavours better carried as an IPA than Witbeer. Can design = Meh.
3.7 Aroma is tree sap, citrus, honey, earl grey. Taste is crisp and somewhat malty with earl grey tea and citrus
2.5 Canned, brewed @West Berkhire. Hazy golden, small head. Aroma of cardamom and Earl Grey tea. Sweet with medium body and syrupy, rounded mouthfeel. Earl Grey tea with syrup. Chemical aggressive bitter finish.
2.3 Can shared by Björn thanks. No head. Opaque solid golden color. Big bergamott and citrus aroma. The bergamott also dominate the taste. Well fermenterad to give a dry finish.
3.9 This was a surprise, of the trio. Of beers i tried this week, this was the best. Nice strong fruit, herby and hoppy flavours.
4.1 Strange , unusual but tasty. I think it works. Floral earl Grey and citrus. More thin than the ABV would suggest but a new taste in a sea of mediocrity and clone beers
