3.5 Little cat can pours out a pale white topped with a white head. Nose is nice wheat notes some belg yeast and spice. Taste is more of the nice wheat notes and a good spice balance.
3.5 Very slightly hazy. Light straw golden. Puffy head that doesn’t stay long. Strong aroma of wheat and pomelo. Taste is tangerine and bread.
3.2 350 ml can with 5% ABV in Hakone, Japan. The aroma of this pale yellow beer reflects spicy Belgian yeast with clove. Flavor: moderately spicy with hints of yeast, banana bread, clove and baked white bread. Feel: near medium body with medium carbonation.
3.3 LCI. Uit blik geschonken. Lekker Japans Belgisch witbiertje. Smaken van mout en wat citrus en vrij helder voor een witbier. Niet bijzonder, wel lekker fris.
3.3 Can @ Nami, Varberg. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aromas of lemon and spices. Flavours of lemon, coriander yeast and orange peel.
3.1 Very creamy wheat beer. Orange herby aroma. Smooth wheat taste, however very sweet. But still a nice solid white beer.
2.6 Bought at an import store near the University hospital in Taipei. 49nt on sale. Nose is sweet. Orange peel, coriander, sacharin and yeasty banana. Fluffy white head. Very pale and light colour. Taste is sacharin sweet, light and watery. It does taste like a white beer but watered down. It is no König Ludwig. It is however fairly refreshing and easy to drink but too thin.
2.9 Tao: pours pale with haze with white head. Aroma is light spice and orange. Taste is kind of weak. Somewhat sweet and lightly spicy. Meh.
3.2 350ml Can from Lawson's Station, Kyoto (¥268): Quite an average offering from Yo-Ho & definitely not the best I've tried from them, the beer was a lot light numerous other Japanese craft beers I've tried recently, basically it was quite weak & light. There was some pleasant banana & cloves flavours coming through alongside touches of citrus & wheat but it wasn't exactly what I'd been expecting & it seemed miles behind some of the better European versions of this style.
3.1 Can from supermarket. Golden color, white head. Bittersweet taste with citrus, wheat, ripe fruits, grass and a bit of earthy notes. Bittersweet finish with citrus, wheat, ripe fruits, earthy notes and grass. Good Witbier.
2.6 Can. Light golden, small and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty - some wheat and lightly sweetish - sweetish aroma, light fruitiness and light banana with faint citrus, faint hoppyness and yeast. Body is light to medium, malty - some wheat and lightly sweetish - sweetish flavor, light fruitiness and faint banana, faint citrus and hoppyness, faint yeast. Finish is short to average, malty - some wheat and lightly sweetish, light fruitiness and faint banana with faint citrus, faint hoppyness and yeast. Watery wit - not too sweet though. Head is weak.
2.7 Smell of hop, wheat, yeast, and Sprite. Pale clear orange with thick white crown. Taste very light and refreshing but not close to Belgium style. Tannin last on tongue. Bought because of nice design can. Tastewise, you can get better Japanese beers in Asian grocery.
1.9 Cerveja razoável. Mas definitivamente fica longe do estilo proposto. Se parece bastante com uma blond ale.
3.5 Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of canned corn, pineapple, light malt, some sugars and a dose of rice, along with the banana and wheat of course. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong wheat flavour at first with a deep yeast and banana bite along with some light sugars and a touch of dose of wheat and pale malt. Aftertaste shows a lot of sweet and very pale flavours with some coriander seed along with some curacao and a dose of sweetness from honey and grain, but the wheat and smooth flavours dominate. Overall, a very nice and smooth wheat with some yeast and banana flavours very evident - a nice and smooth wit that shows well, especially on this side of the world! I sampled this 33 cL can purchased from Jason’s Market Place at Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan on 24-July-2017 for NT$122 sampled in my hotel room here in central Taipei, Taiwan on 27-July-2017.
3.3 Got this in Kyoto Japan. Pours yellow with a white head. It has a banana smell with light spices and wheat. The flavors mirror the aroma with some grainy sweetness as well.
3.9 Will have to rate this one again. I liked it but it’s been too long to give it a fair valuation.
3.5 Bottle from Total Wine in Palo Alto, CA. Aroma is light floral spices, some lemon, straw. Taste is crisp with earthy grainy-ness and some mild tang. Not especially exciting but extra points for the can design.
2.5 Super light, fizzy and thin... but ok flavor, and some Belgian funkiness. Good for a hot day, maybe.
3.2 Belgian witbier from Yoho Brewing in Japan. Pours a crystal clear straw golden colour with a thick but transient head of froth. Aroma is mainly malty - bread, dough, and biscuit, but taste is light, somewhat sweet and has notes of spices (coriander?) and orange. Light-Medium bodied, somewhat thin mouthfeel with light and soft carbonation.
3.2 Can from Beer stand. A heavy witbier. More malt, spice and some rice in the finish. Pretty decent mouthfeel. Finishes sharp and biting.
3.0 33 cl can from B.I.G Kuala Lumpur. Pours golden with little head. Sweet yeasty aroma with citrus and yeasty malty bananish taste.
2.5 35 cl can, original design. Pours light gold color, clear, soapy head. No yeast, huh? Aroma is wheat with light spice and orange/citrus. Taste is flat, light sourish. Thin body, average carbonation, dusty texture, dry finish. Sadly disappointing.
3.3 Slightly stale aroma, coriander notes in aroma, pale, white foam, light sweetness, light body, thin feel, average carbonation,
2.7 350ml can. Pours clear yellow with white thick lacing head, low-lasting. Aroma is light hoppy, malty, bit yeasty, grassy. Taste is souerish, light malty, hay, watery finsh. Smooth carbo, light watery body. Drinkable, too easy.
3.2 Can in Tokyo. Clear yellow color. Sticky white head. Aroma’s: light sweet, banana, light herbs. Retronasal it’s sweetish, herbs, wheat-fruity, light banana. Flavor is light sweet, fruity, herbal. Light bodied. Not much of a finish. OK.
3.2 Burk från Tokyo. Klar, gyllengul kulör med lätt vit skumkrona. Doft av citrus, malt och belgisk jäst. Smak av detsamma.
2.5 Can sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Shmupi. Clear yellow. Aroma of coriander, citrus peels, graininess. Sweetish flavor, grainy, with coriander and some citrus. Light-bodied.
3.0 SIBF 2016, Seattle. Super soft pale clear white. soapy head. Dry clean, soft wit. Soft spice. Very dry lager. Mild wit character. Ok.
3.0 Can at my parents. Lightly hoppy, lightly yeasty. Semi-sweet. Fairly dry finish. Light body. Moderate carbonation.
