3.1 330ml Dose. Klar und golden mit kleiner Schaumkrone. Leichtes Citrusaroma und leichter Körper. Erfrischend. Gut ausbalanciert.
3.5 Golden color, big white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, honey, floral notes. Sweet dry taste with medium hoppy bitterness in finish and aftertaste. Good ale for easy drinking.
3.5 Can from Conveni, Hakuba Tsugaike. A mellow american inspired pale ale. Easy.
3.6 From tap at Taps in Kuala Lumpur. The foam stability is good. The Aroma is litschi, grapefruit hoppy, malty. The taste is malty, hoppy, light bitter, some fruitiness. Good.
Ganska behaglig eftersmak.
3.1 Limited foam. Starts off nicely with some citrus and hops, but ends dissapointing: watery!
2.7 Draft in Sapporo, Japan. Pours intense gold, with limited foam. Aroma is weak of malt. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is moderately bitter, with some sweetness. Finish is shortish.
2.8 Sample at SBWF 2018. Golden with a white head. Aroma of mild hops, fruit and light malt. The same in the taste. The body was on the light side as was the bitterness.
3.2 Can. Golden, slightly foggy, yellowish foam. Aroma: sweet nectar and honey, fruity. Taste: sweetish, nectar, pear, fruit, soft hop bitterness, drinkable.
3.5 This is my go to beer. I drink the heck out of it. I’m not qualified to review it; it’s part of me. It has changed from the malty pale ale to the hoppy pale ale and now I get that SN Pale Ale cascade twinge in the nose and enjoy it right down the line. Not too many at a time, but one or two now and then...never a problem always a pleasure, kind of like running into an old friend. Comfort beer for beer lovers who live Japan. Buy, drink, ENJOY.
3.3 Can from a store in Taipei. Amber colour with a decent white head. Not much aroma, but a good taste of fruity, earthy hops giving a distinctive bitterness. Some caramel notes and pine resin at the end. This is on the lighter side, but it is a good tasting pale ale.
3.0 飲みやすく、上品なフルーティさ。やや薄く感じ常温での楽しみ半減。
3.9 Can. Pours very clear golden. Aroma of citrus, pine. Medium body. Fresh. Clean, sharp bitterness.
4.0 Bronze, clear nice creamy foam. Nice malty flowery aroma. Sweet, caramel, hint of burned sugar, with fruity caramel hoppy aftertaste
3.8 Karuizawa Nagano Yona Yona Ale [5.5%] in Gora, Japan. Pours with a clear amber body that has excellent clarity. It’s topped by a large and durable bone colored head. Very fruity, floral and lightly spicy aroma. Flavor: soft ripe fruits with negligible citrus and subtle spicy hops. Distinct and appealing. Medium body and near medium carbonation. Overall: a flavorful and unusual pale ale that sticks to style yet is notably distinct.
3.2 Can. Pours deep gold, generous head. Aroma is malty, a little citrus. Soft cereal and malt taste, some dry hop and subtle citrus in the back. Decent, but a little generic.
3.2 Nice fruity pale. Aroma of citrus and orange. More pine to taste. Used to massively bitter fruity hop Australian pales, so this is a nice change. Nothing fancy just very decent.
3.0 350ml can @ Kyoto Japan
3.0 Can. Aroma: dominated by malt, butter and floral aromas. Taste: malty sweet.
4.3 Very affordable every-day pale ale.
3.6 350ml Can from Lawson's Station, Kyoto (¥242): This one was a fairly decent beer from Yo-Ho but definitely one that I felt could have used being a little stronger & more pronounced, particularly with the nose. It was leaning towards the sweeter side of things but I enjoyed the malt bitterness & earthy hops that did feature, coupled well with some floral flavours further on. It was an easy one to drink & one to try if you're in Japan but it's not really anything out of the ordinary I'm afraid.
3.2 Can from Lawsons, Tokyo. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, hops, caramel, mango, grass and a bit of resin. Bitter finish with citrus, hops, mango, grass, caramel and resin. Okay APA.
3.2 350ml can from Lawsons, Tokyo. Pours orange with a tiny head. Aroma of grapes, caramely malts and soapy notes. Taste is smooth, slightly soapy and grapefruity with some caramely maltiness. Finish is sweetish and earthy with some hints of citrus, grapefruit and soapiness. Decent.
2.8 Can. Light golden, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty and dryish - lightly sweetish aroma, faint - light tropical fruitiness, light - some citrus/grapefruit hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty and dryish flavor, faint tropical fruitiness, light citrus hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty and dryish, light citrus hoppyness, faint metal. OK fruity aroma but flavor/finish lack fruitiness, finish is bit harsh.
2.6 Can at home. I had this a while ago now, I bought this beer of the website called www.Beermerchants.co.uk. Its not to bad of a beer its slighlty bitter which I like. To be honest I only bought this because I thought ooh Japanese beer must try!
2.8 Can from Lawson´s. Pours clear amber with a medium white head. Aromas and flavours of malt, caramel and fruit. Medium to light bitterness.
3.7 Got this in Kyoto. It pours dark golden and clear with a white head. It has a hoppy floral taste with some stone fruit and grain. It has a moderately bitter finish.
3.0 Can @ Japan. Appearance: pours clear amber-copper with ok white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, bread, peach and light citrus. palette: fruity and hoppy aroma, average carbonation, medium body, medium malt sweetness, balanced by an average to notable bitterness, medium duration and a watery texture. Overall: Surprisingly refreshing and tasteful
