3.0 Cask at The Elgin, Notting Hill. A clear deep golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of cereal and biscuity malts, some fruit and subtle spicy, earthy hops. Taste of biscuity malts, some fruit and slight spicy, earthy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, spicy, earthy hop bitterness in the finish. A classic pale bitter, malty with a soft English hop character.
3.0 On handpull at the Trinity Arms in Brixton. Pours brown. Toffee, biscuit, nuts, fruity esters. Fairly standard bitter.
2.0 Pale amber in colour . Thin white head , aromas of nut , biscuit . half decent taste
3.0 Pint at The Old Ship in Chiswick. A good looking, light coloured bitter. The flavour was that of a basic bitter, biscuity malts and some bittering hops. It was well kept and pleasurable to drink, but basic and not one to get me dancing on the tables.
3.1 Drunk on draught at the anchor and hope in Southwark. Enjoyable, drinkable ale.
3.1 hand pump. Amber, white lace. Light roasted, good hop profile, mellow, Ok, but not exiting.
3.0 F: thin, white, quick gone. C: gold, light hazy. A: malty, light sour fruity. T: malt, light sourness, grassy, light roasted tones, caramel, light body, low carbonation, nothing special, half pint @ The Half Moon pub near Horsham.
2.2 Cask at the Woolyard London. Just very average, didnt go down too well.....
4.2 A wonderfully reliable, clean, fresh, dry hoppy bitter. Difficult to beat. Invariably of a high standard at the Malt Shovel in Dartford, Kent.
2.5 March 25, 2017 - on cask at Tin Belly. Clear golden pour with nice amount of head that lasted and left some lacing. Aroma was weak fruit and spice. Taste was very watery with light sweetness and mild bitter finish.
2.9 Cask at the Prince of Wales, Farnborough. Beers were running out after the weekend so was forced to have one of the PoW’ s regulars. Nil aroma. Bright Amber. Thin white head. Medium bitter. Some sweetness. Hoppy. Light. Soft carbonated finish.Bog standard bitter. I need to move to where there’s more craft beer!
3.0 Cask at Richard I, Greenwich. Gold amber colour, thin white foam head leaving lacing and malty aroma. Taste is malt, some toffee and caramel, with floral hop bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Ok
2.8 Cask at the Guildford arms. Pours clear golden, nose is burnt toffee, grass, taste is sweet, toffee, cereal.
3.1 On cask. A perfectly pleasant pint of bitter. It’s designed to be inoffensive, light, and refreshing, and it does that well, but there are enough subtle flavors on cask that it manages to have a distinct and pleasant flavor of its own.
4.1 Haven’t drunk this since they bulldozed that lovely old brewery to build a thousand flats for irritating Londoners. When I used to drink it was a gorgeous well rounded low abh session best with its golden colour pre-empting the golden ale revolution of the last ten years. Can’t go wrong with it, a really good palate for a session brew. Youngs was a big name in beer.
2.6 Tried at the New Inn, Folkingham. Amber to copper colour with a white head. Aroma light caramel malts and so was the last. Taste light sweet, to slight bitter.
2.8 Pours clear golden with low white head. Aroma is malty, rye bread and light citrus. Taste is mild bitter with sweetish finish. Light smooth body with nearly flat carbonation.
2.9 Cask@The Bull, Streatham, London (30/12/2015) - golden amber pour with white head. Toasty malty aroma and taste with some notes of caramel, light buttery, vague hoppy backing, watery body, bitter finish. Loved and devoured this stuff about 20 years ago, just not the same any more :(
2.6 Pint (cask) draught @ The Gregorian, Bermondsey, London. Clear amber colour. Didn’t notice any head. This has the usual flavours from malts and fruity hops, but a bit watery. A bit too light for me.
2.8 Cask at the Blue Vinny in Puddletown, Dorset. Near clear golden to copper with a small white head. Aroma of light malt, buttery notes, light toffee and caramel. Flavour is above light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with soft carbonation.
2.8 Appearance: Clear nutty color with a fine tan head. Ok lacing. Aroma: Fruity, malty and some flowery notes. Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Soft carbonation. Taste: Toffee, bready, fruity and some citric notes. Overall impression: Nice fresh session ale. Personal stats: On tap at The Wheatsheaf in Borough/London, England
3.3 Cask at the GBBF 2015. Low fluffy white quickly disappearing head. Malt fruit aroma. Dry and dusty malt straw grass flavor with week hints of fruit. Low carbonation, long dry finish.
3.0 Nice head with good duration. Colour is golden. Aroma and taste are fruits, malt, flowers and hops. Oily palate and softly carbonated.
3.4 Cask. Short review at a birthday. Amber orange, still, small ring of white head. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is sweet and malty, smooth hop character, softly fruity. In good condition, this is a nicely balanced bitter.
2.7 How: Cask. Where: Brew Wharf, London. Appearance: Dark amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma: Citrus, hops, fruit. Body: Medium body, low carbonation. Flavour: Malt, hops.
3.2 Darkish golden colour and a very quickly-fading head. Slightly hoppy aroma and a lightly fruity, hoppy taste. Satisfyingly long, bitter finish. A light and dry bitter. A great London beer, beloved by most CAMRA members and beer aficionados, but not as fresh and vibrant as I remember it from 30 years ago. Or is it me?
3.0 Cask cross keys liversidge. Golden thin head. Malty aroma toffee malt taste light bitter. Medium body. Session bitter.
3.2 Cask - Light caramel and pale malts.  Clear gold with a creamy nice head.  Pale malts and a light bitterness.  Easy drinking.
3.3 Cask @ LHR. Dark gold in the glass. Smooth nice malty beginning. Fresh and nice floral and easy to drink. Hints of grain in the mainpart with a nice ale character. The aftertaste is smooth, fresh. Malt and a nice floral ale bitterness there. Hints of a golden ale. Nice!
3.2 Cask at Advocate Arms Hotel, Market Rasen, yesterday. Sweet grain. Light lemon. Taste is dry, and light bitter. Nothing special, but went ok with a prawn cocktail!
