3.0Dark amber body, medium to thin light tan head, spotty lacing. Toasted malts, toffee, and a hint of floral hops. Medium bodied, gentle carbonation, a hint of sweetness, slightly thin finish.
2.6First beer rating for me. I’m partial to bock, not a Yuengling fan but saw this and gave it a try. This is light compared to other bocks I’ve tried and finishes with that Yuengling after taste but its not as strong as the lager after bite. I would drink again but would rather have a Shiner.
3.0Pours mahogany into a shaker. Off-white head crackles and recedes to skim surface. Toffee and molasses aromas. Dry with sweet caramel and toffee upfront turning to mild bitter earth in the medium length finish.
3.0Clear brown pour with light tan head. Aroma is lightly toasted malt with a little sweet caramel. Taste follows the nose. Not bad, but not really a favorite.
3.0Dark cloudy pour. Thick off-white head. Taste of sweet and toasted malts, caramel, sugar. Too thin for my liking. Good effort from Yuengling
2.4Pours deep brown color, small off-white head, nice lacing. Aromas of toasted malt, caramel. Taste is somewhat sweet and bitter, hops are almost non-existent.
3.1From a 12 oz purchased at Whole Foods. Pours a light brownish purplish clear. Just darker than regular Lager. Not much aroma but a little sweetness. Mouthfeel is light and smooth. Very drinkable. Taste is mildly sweet and fruity. I rather liked this as a cheap easy drinking session beer. Better than Shiner Bock as it has more flavor. Beach anyone?
3.8pour from a 12oz bottle. Dark copper color, off white head that a little more than 1 finger. leaves some lacing. Smell of toasty malt with caramel and some bread. Taste of sweet malt, caramel, with something almost biscuit. Very easy drinking Bock that’s not as BIG as most bocks. Good beer over all!
3.0Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Clear dark brew, rather like a cola in color, with off white head. Aroma of caramel malts, toasted malt, astringent hops. Taste follows aroma - a little sweet malt at the start, bready, rather simple but distinct astringent bitterness in the finish. Sometimes I think nostalgic about the bocks of days gone by - Pabst Bock, Miller Bock, Stroh’s Bock... this brew is probably about as close to those as you can get these days and while it is OK, it is not a the brightest star in the brewers firmament.
3.6Just a solid brew from a company I wish was available in Michigan. I have a soft place in my heart for bocks, so this fits right in.
3.7Without a doubt, my absolute favorite beer from the Yuengling line. I had never heard of this before today, saw it at a liquor store and as I'm a Bock fan I figured it was worth a try. Glad i did! Pours a beautiful dark brown and ruby color with good lacing and head. A faint but clean aroma. Nice malty and sweet taste with a clean and noticeably bitter finish, definitely fits the Bock profile even if it's not craft quality. Simple, but satisfying - a "macro-Bock" that punches above its weight. I'm disappointed to read on the packaging that this beer is a limited release, hopefully that means its a seasonal beer, not just a one-time anniversary release from Yuengling.

3.3Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The cool old school styled label has no other info.
Appearance: In the glass it has a nice reddish brown color with good clarity. A small light tan head settles to a thin ring of slick lacing around the edge of the glass to cap this beer off.
Smell: The nose is light overall and has a modest bready maltiness with light toasted notes, some raw gain and toffee like sweetness. Hops are very distant but seem to add a slight earthy character.
Taste/Palate: The base is malty but a bit thin for the style. There are mild bready and toasted notes with some caramel and toffee like sweetness balanced by light earthy hops. This adds mild bitterness, a touch of acidity and a little dryness to the finish. On the tongue it feels a bit thin for the style and there is plenty of carbonation.
Notes: For me it just misses the mark and my overall feeling is that it’s a very drinkable but average at best Bock.
2.8malty, has that bready yuengling yeast ester. nice clear red tinted deep dark copper/mahogany color. reasonable head. very mild flavor profile, dominantly malty with a tangy quality. there’s a solid bitterness in the finish. a bit thin in body and flavor.
3.3As much as people rave about Yuenleung, I never saw the attraction. Until now. This bock is Carmel and slightly sweet with a long malt taste.

3.0Deep copper, almost ruby color. Weak carbonation, rocky one-finger head and tight lacing. Clear, but a bit dull and lackluster.
Slight sweet, smoky malt aroma with a hint of bourbon. Not much hop aroma to speak of.
Slight caramel and toasted, smoky malt flavor, with a hint of bourbon. Well-built, with a sweet malt character that is true to style.
Light, thin, smooth, but a bit flat in the mouth. Doesn't seem to be the intended filling winter seasonal.
Overall, a good beer that I would try again, and am interested in trying other examples of the style.
2.912 ounce bottle. Thanks Andrew! Pours a darker amber with a small tan head. Aroma of of malt, caramel, and a touch of dark fruit. Taste is caramel malt, dark fruit, and nuts. No complaints. It is what it is.
3.1I like bocks, bocks like me. This is one bock that was mediocre at best. A clear reddish-brown pour is topped by a medium sized off-white head, more bubbly than creamy. The aroma is plums, caramel malts, and some grass. The flavour was sweetened grass and a bitter end.
2.8Bottle. So I ahve a soft spot for the Yueng being from the Philly area. This is not a great Bock. But you should buy it anyway as it is a great company.
2.9Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with small thin off-white head. Aroma of malt, and brown sugar, with light caramel and flowery hop. Flavor was combination of hop up front, but largely malty bitterness, that diminished into watery and suds finish, bitter on the tongue at the end. Heavier in palate than the other varieties from this brewery, so it stands out as a bock.
3.1355 ml bottle from publix in kissimmee Florida. Pours brown with a small tan head. Nice nutty caramel slightly smokey dunkler bock. Simple but on style. Good enough. FLVC2 #3
2.8Bottle with so coworkers at the office. Pours a clean amber with tan head. Nose of caramel, sweet brown malts. Taste is a metallic copper and some sweet brown malts.
3.1Good average bock. Lacking a little maltiness. Easy to drink. I would buy this.
2.9Dark amber, caramel flavor, nothing offensive, nothing remarkable; may be pretty good on a hot summer day after mowing the lawn
3.26er thanks to my bro-in-law, Pours dark coppery brown in the glass. Some Toasty malt and a weak cardboard aroma. Wheat bread flavor followed by a slight metallic dry aftertaste. Overall, not too bad...
2.8Dark amber/cider color; Medium body; Aroma of toasted sweet malt, caramel, & some dark fruit; Flavor of slight roasted sweet malt, caramel, hops, dark fruit, and some nuts; Dry finish; Not too bad.
3.5Nice and very strong. Quite fine but not with all bock characteristics. Nice aroma and sweet featured too.
3.1Pours a clear gold/amber with a medium white head. Sweet caramel malt taste; a little biscuity. Good old-fashioned style American bock like those released each spring back in the 60s and earlier.
1.9Almost nonexistent aroma with a nice deep brown color but a quickly dissipating thin head. Flavor was washed out bitter and it had a very thin soapy finish. Very disappointed.
2.6Bottle pour dark brown. Nose of malt, candy, apples, and if I really concentrate a little spice. Taste almost pure watered down malt. Minimal bitterness on the finish.
2.8Its Yuengling so you have to try it at least once. A semi-opac brown ale with a white head. The flavors are muted all the way around, nothing really stands out. But it does have a decent body and it finishes nicely.
