0.9 Bottle, twist off. Nose of corn, slightly less sweet than their base offerings, slightly less corn coming through as well. Dull, lightly pale golden with almost no visible carbonation, a scant off-white head. Watery medium body with grain and light bitterness, semi-dry with corn and a touch of spice, doesn’t refresh, and the overall effect is much dirtier than even the ’Premium.’
1.9 for a light pale lager, far from the worst, but usually priced more like the micros. No thanks. One timer.
2.1 DATE TASTED: December 7, 2013... GLASSWARE: Michelob pilsner...OCCASION: Championship Saturday in the NCAA... APPEARANCE: typical straw-gold body of effervescence; white,, thin head that smears atop the bubbles; streaky lacing... AROMA: high-pitched oat and corn, with some fragrant bubblegum hops--inoffensive... PALATE: smooth, mega-drinkable; gassy, bubbly and brief in its substance...TASTE: astringently malty, thin, with a profile of a sweetened light beer; not memorable or substantial...OVERALL: as Yuenglings go, on the bottom rung; Solo cup filler, but much less a party staple than the original lager...
1.8 Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pilsener glass. The appearance was a hazy yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about twenty seconds. The lacing was somewhat there as it was messy and all over the place. The smell had a sweet corn and that’s about it. The taste was mainly the same thing. On the palate, this defines light and came across pretty watery. Sessionable? Uhh, yeah it sure was. Overall, hmmmm...not bad for a hot Summer’ s day to replace water perhaps. But it might just be better to drink water than this.
2.2 Not sure how to rate these. Better than most macro lights. Sweet. Decent body. 98 as represented by marketing
1.5 Clear golden colored body, thin white head, minimal lacing. Sweet cereals in the nose, harsh graininess and metalic quality in the flavor profile. Light bodied, lively carbonation, muddled, abrasive aftertaste.
2.2 Pours deep caramel into a shaker. White head disappears to nothing. Caramel and corn syrup aromas. Flat with sweet caramel and toasted nuts.
0.8 The only thing that’s good about this is that it looks like it’s going to be a pale ale. It’s not. Tap at DC Beer festival.
2.1 In the can. Via trade. Pours a clear, dark yellow appearance with a fluffy white head. Nice appearance. Metal, lemon juice, and candy in the nose. Twangy, a touch tart, sweet corn, candy flavor. Carbonation is pretty high. Metallic notes are kind of heavy. Decent American Light Lager but I’d take a Miller Lite over this.
1.7 As you might expect is a pretty thin and ordinary light lager. Light in colour and clear. Alright.
2.8 Can thanks to Dan, Ice cold, hell half frozen! Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. A light sweet nose, honey and paper. The flavor is thin, watery, some rice and grains. Sweet. But overall, very thin and near water. Clean overall though. Decent beer.
2.3 Bottle. Good carbonation, but thin aroma. Medium amber color. Very thin hop flavor. Not a good substitute for regular Yuengling lager. Avoid.
1.5 I am a fan Yuengling but this wasn’t their best. There is an aftertaste that just doesn’t sit well with me. Don’t think I’ll be buying it again.
1.6 "Premium’ and ’Light’ do not belong in the same sentence when applied to the beer industry. This is your typical clear, pale yellow lager with a short-lived white bubbly head. The aroma was stale grass, metal, and skunk. The flavour was weak grainy malt and water. Not worth trying again.
2.9 draft, decent for a light beer. Thin fell, but a slight more hoppy than most light beers on the market. Good brew to drink after a round of golf or doing yardwork.
2.7 Not as good as it’s big brother, but still better than the big brewery "light" beer offerings. Has a decent pour with a dark golden color and a decent finish. Highly drinkable for a light beer
2.0 12oz bottle. Pours a pale yellow color with small fizzy white head. Aromas is slightly malty. Flavor is the same.
2.1 From tap at Taco Mac. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is light butterish and malty. Toasted malty, cornish and vague bitter. Toasted malty finish.
1.6 Poured a pale yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was corny and a bit grassy. Sweetish and corny flavor with a touch of grass. Watery in both flavor and body. Sort tangy corny finish. Not good.
1.7 Pours a clear bright yellow with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is skunky with sweet straw. Flavor is like dusty straw with a hint of sweetness. Mouthfeel is watery and the finish is straw and abrupt.
1.2 I’ll drink it, if it’s around, but honestly this is a pretty weak beer on all accounts.
2.1 Bottle. Pours pale yellow with a thin white head. Thin aroma of corn, grain and grass. Flavor was light and watery with pale malts, grains and corn.
1.5 My wife bought this thinking I would like it…I dont! I guess its better than Coors or Bud.
1.7 Like traditional but without flavor. Does not finish as clean. Better than High Life is all Ive got for this one.
2.3 355 ml bottle in New York. Poured a pale gold color with an almost nonexistent head. Light, thin aroma with a hint of hops. Taste is typical of a light beer ... better than most macros, but still a light beer and thin in taste.
2.0 It's a light lager. Nothing fantastic but it is decent for what it is. no real complaints given that.
2.0 This was my second sample on the Yuengling Brewery tour, my wife wanted to try this. Poured golden yellow, thin head. Smelled some grass and corn. Tasted some pale malt. Pretty much a standard American Pale lager. Good if I want something super light, otherwise the brewery makes much better stuff. But this keeps many people happy I guess.
1.9 This is beer is not bad for a light beer. Crisp and refreshing with little to barley flavored. Watered down but more flavor than most light beer.
1.9 Overall a "meh" with a thin flavor. As far as light beers go, it is run of the mill. Watery with a very light hint of malt and a slightly hoppy finish.
2.2 Taste is very similar to their traditional lager, just watered down a bit. Carbonation and cornmeal are prevalent, but as far as light beer goes this one is pretty decent.
