Yuengling Summer Wheat

Yuengling Summer Wheat

Hallertau hops and Bavarian-style top-fermenting yeast deliver a thick, creamy head with overtones of banana and clove esters. This authentic German weizen style beer, with a slight hazy appearance, concludes with a crisp finish.

3.5 Not bad. Crisp and drinkable, but lacking somewhat in the body I expect from a wheat beer. Passable.
3.0 355ml bottle. Hazy yellow with quickly fading two finger white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, cloves and yeast. Taste is the same with wheat, yeast, banana and cloves. Medium mouthfeel, light carbonation and slight yeasty banana aftertaste.
2.2 Decent summer easy drinking beer with great history being made by America’s oldest brewery. It’s very light and has no bad aftertaste
2.1 Flavor starts nice with clove, banana, toasted malts and spice before it takes a strange turn to cloying super sweet malts and stale fruits. Pale and medium duration overstays into the finish bringing an unpleasant palate and I don’t want to drink anymore of these. Gets way old halfway through the case.
2.5 Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aromas of banana, bread, hay, citrus. Taste of banana bread and hay
1.3 Belgian banana beer...Yuck! Why? (That was the end of my comment, however they rejected my comment because it didn’t contain 75 characters.)
3.0 Pours a hazy golden orange. Aromas of bread/bananas/ and some fruit. Had a taste of yeasty bread with some spice. Not as clove/banana as most Hefs I’ve tried.
4.0 Hazy golden appearance. Minimal head with no lacing. Banana bread and clove on the nose. Tastes is more banana with cloves coming through with some taffy and a hint of yeast. Moderate carbonation with a dry finish. Crisp and refreshing. Hits all the right points to be a nice German Hefeweizen and for the he price, you absolutely can’t beat it
3.5 A pretty standard summer wheat beer. It’s a good offering, and it beats other offerings like Shocktop and Blue Moon out of the water.
2.6 From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is estery, bubblegum. Medium dry, bubblegum estery. Lasting dry estery finish.
3.2 Poured from a tap. Clear golden color, medium frothy white head. Not much of an aroma. Medium body with a sweet wheat flavor and a medium finish.
3.0 Pretty solid summer offering! Pours cloudy gold w/ a little white head & little lacing. The aroma contians a nice hop & light German spice. The flavor is clean & crisp. Just enough flavor to make it worth drinking & relatively smooth. It’s overall an ok beer.
3.3 Pours slightly hazy golden with a typical eggshell head. Surprisingly strong aroma delivers wheat, malt, yeast, banana, and yes, a hint of cloves. Flavor lives up to the promise of the aroma, though the fruity and yeasty notes are not as strong, while some hops manage to sneak into the mix. Texture features typical body and fizz. Still, a satisfying beer any time of year.
2.8 Vom Fass im Brauhaus. Hellgelb trübe Farbe. Viel weisser Schaum. Citrus und Hefe Aroma. Antrunk frisch zitronig. Hefe dezent. Kaum Abgang.
3.4 12 oz bottle. Nothing special here but generally pretty good and refreshing enough on a hot summer day.
2.8 Average at best. Didn't have an authentic wheat flavor. Felt more artificial than natural.
3.1 Bottle. Slightly hazy golden body with a frothy white head. Aroma of banana, clove, bubble gum, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly biter and lightly acidic. Medium body, watery/slick texture, lively carbonation. Fizzy in the mouth. Taste of bubble gum, clove, lemon and plenty of banana. Watery.
2.2 Sampled in draft this beer poured a yellow-gold color with a huge foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was yeast, bread, pepper and sour malts. The flavor was sour malts, yeast, pepper and a bit of phenol. Long finish. Medium body
2.5 Hazy golden orange pour with creamy white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of wheat and some banana. Light flavor with banana, wheat, and hint of spice. Meh!
3.6 Great summer beer and shocked it’s yuengling. I bought a slim 1/4 and it’s better on draft
4.1 Solid summer beer. Refreshing hints of banana, clove. Very yeasty, refreshing. Would recommend highly at its price (6 pack for 6.99)
3.0 12oz bottle. Poured a light hazy amber orange color with a small white head. Aroma was notes of light wheat notes, sweet malts. Some light notes of yeast, light banana, sweet notes that remind me a bit of Yuengling.
3.5 been ignoring this since it came out thinking it was one of those heinous wheat beers that tastes like bran flakes and lemon water. not the case-aroma is solid hefe with rich banana, yeast, and spiciness. flavor hits with same hefe components up front, but thins towards the end with a slight grainy aftertaste--although overall id say this is a great budget hefe-and brewed in the US!
2.8 On draught at Winking Lizard. Pours a hazy orange-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. aroma of wheat, banana and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal wheat, banana and mild hops. The finish is wheaty with a slight malt aftertaste. Just average overall.
3.3 A nice, refreshing brew to drink while grilling. Surprisingly bitter for the style. Nothing I’d buy for myself but perfectly acceptable.
3.5 Looks, tastes and feels like a summer wheat should. A very sessionable brew for the dog days of summer.
1.8 I am a fan of Yuengling but this isn’t necessarily my favorite. I find it a bit bitter.a little flat.
3.2 Pours a hazy golden orange with slight tan head. Aroma of fruit and bread. taste fo fruit, caramel and hint of smokey flavoring. Not bad.
2.5 I was going to sample a 6-pack of this last summer, and have been a little curious. A buddy gave me a single to sample, which was plenty enough to get the idea. Wheats are hit or miss for me, and this one falls a little short. Drinkable and I guess refreshing if super cold, but there are better economy summer ales out there.
3.1 12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Pours hazy, orange, with a small white head (no real lacing). Aroma of clove and fruit. Taste of spices, fruit and yeast combined with some wheat. Crisp, refreshing, not bad.
