2.8 500ml bottle. Clear golden with a foamy white head. Flavors are bread, biscuity cereals and spices with skunky and mineral notes. Medium body, good carbonation, smooth texture.
3.7 Złote, klarowne, ładna piana i lacing. W zapachu przeplatają się nuty słodowe i chmielowe, dopełnione maryśką. W smaku lekka słodycz i fajna goryczkowa kontra.
2.5 cheers .
3.3 Nice beer. Skunked in bottles, but great noble hop aroma with a nice round mouthfeel. Czech bar ams
2.7 Can, 0.5l. 5% ABV. Clear golden pour, one finger soapy white head, short lasting, no lacing. Sweet and grainy nose, pretty much average. Thin body, watery mouthfeel and texture, lively carbonation. Bittersweet taste, more on the bitter side. Usual lager taste, grains, malt, grass. Subtle hop bitterness. Short lasting finish, lingering bitterness. Average macro.
2.7 0.5l can. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma of grain, grass and malt. Taste is bitter.
3.0 Old Untappd checkin, October 13, 2016. Labeled as Golden Pheasant. Green glass bottle. Bready aroma. Grainy flavor profile with a decent body, and a crisp, dry finish. Solid macro pilsner.
3.0 nice, drinkable, enjoyablе, no strong notes, absolutely fine beer. My first Slovakian.
Sam efekt podawania, serwowania piwa. Byliśmy lata świetlne za południowymi sąsiadami.
2.5 Aroma 5. Appearance 3. Taste 5. Palate 2. Overall 10. Grain aroma. Taste of cereals, mid-sweet, and a hint of grass.
2.4 Slovak Pilsener named after – and depicting – the humble pheasant, bottle from a Russian supermarket in Ghent. Snow white, thick, foamy, cobweb-lacing, coarse but very stable (iron-enhanced) head over a crystal clear, pure ‘old gold’ coloured beer with visible sparkling. Aroma initially lightstruck (the dreaded ‘cat pee’ effect) but otherwise exhibiting lightly toasted white bread, bitter garden weeds, minerals, dry bird seed, bitterroot extract and decorator’s wallpaper paste. Neutral onset, very fizzy, minerally and ‘clear’, sweetish-sourish dull graininess, slender but with a touch of white-breadiness (maltiness) to it still; strong glueish or indeed wallpaper paste-like side flavour, calcium-like minerality and a metallic ‘zing’ somewhere (though the latter does not dominate at all). Grassy hop bitter finish, short but still more bittering than your standard industrial pale lager, while this wallpaper paste flavour continues as well. Being so close to the Czech Republic (and having been united with it for a long time), it is no surprise that the Bohemian style pale lagers have their equivalent in neighboring Slovakia as well, but as this example demonstrates, the Slovak versions usually are no match for the Czech original. That said, I had way worse pale lagers than this one so that plastery effect and it being lightstruck aside, this is certainly above average if regarded as a standard pale lager rather than a true Czech ‘světlý ležák’.
1.2 Rating copied from Untappd. Bought at an unknown location and had at an unknown location on 5 sep 2014.
3.0 Old rating from 2010 - 500ml bottle, 5.0 ABV, brought home from Poprad. Pours clear golden with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of grass, grain, earth, corn & sweet malt. Moderate body. Light bitter finish. Enjoyable
2.0 słodowe, zalegająca goryczka, wysycenie dość wysokie,
2.5 Kolor złoty, klarowny. Piana biała, wysoka, trwała. Pozostawia sporo spienionych śladów. Aromat słodowy z lekkimi nutami trawiastymi, bez rewelacji. Smak delikatnie słodki, słodowy z całkiem wyraźną goryczką. Wysycenie wysokie. Tekstura gładka. Ciało średnie. Posmak długi słodowy.
2.4 Can via Tesco. Moderate body, med-high carbonation. Mostly clean, though med-light grainy astringency is present. Faintest hint of grassy earthy hoppiness, which is refreshing. A hint of esters and high alcohols too. But overall okay among the macrobeers.
2.3 Piwo złote z niewielką pianą (aczkolwiek lejcuje). W zapachu słodko-gorzki oraz lekkie utlenienie (DMS). W smaku również słodko-gorzkie. Piwo pełne. Wysokonasycone. Posmak delikatnie goryczkowy.
3.3 Aromat: zbożowy, ziołowy, trochę landrynka, trochę utlenienie Wygląd: złociste, klarowne, piana redukuje się do obrączki Smak: dosyć słodki, trochę zboża, trochę ziołowego chmielu, utlenienie, landrynki, goryczka niska Podniebienie: nisko nasycone, ciało niskie, dosyć gładkie
3.0 500 ml bottle, poured clear golden with fast dissipating white head. Medium bodied. Grass and corn aroma, mildly bitter grassy hops taste with some pepper in the finish. Innocuous but quite bland.
2.8 Bottle, from an off licence. Gold + white head. Grassy, bit malty, biscuity, bit corn, bit skunky - not too much. Solid enough macro pils
3.0 500ml bottle. Pours bright gold with a large head. Aroma is grassy, minerally and a touch of corn. Taste is grassy and minerally throughout, with some corn on the finish.
3.0 Pilsner slovaque, cadeau de Julien et Nadège. Bière limpide, légère, simple mais bonne/ok dans le style.
3.2 W aromacie maślanie, ziołowo, do tego nuty skórki chlebowej. W smaku ziołowe, maślane, skórkowe. Pijalność bardzo wysoka, gładkie, aksamitne, brak goryczki. Ogólnie całkiem przyjemne, choć brakło nieco goryczki.
3.0 Bottle from local Polish shop. Has a vague aroma of malts, but nothing much. Pours a golden straw colour with a vigorous but transient white head. Taste is corn and some malts with traces of lemongrass and biscuits. A little bitterness in the finish. Low carbonation means it is definitely swiggable. Pleasant enough, but not particularly memorable.
2.4 Birra chiara, particolarmente limpida. Schiuma chiara evanescente.
2.9 Bottle. Green fucking bottle. You know what that means! SKUNK! Light skunk but still enough to reserve a place in hell for brewers that use green bottles! Otherwise decent malt, hops, and lacing.
3.2 Bardzo mało ciała - przelewowe. Mało wyczuwalna goryczka, jednakże nieprzyjemnie pozostająca na finiszu. Lekkie, przyjemne słowackie piwo.
